It gets there, slowly. The payoff is not bad.
In a word, I'd say this show is [entertaining].I don't usually bother to watch Asian romance dramas because they're a dime-a-dozen imo. There's always a pretty standard cutout/copy/paste idea for female leads in Asian dramas because of the intent to keep the women portrayed as 'pure' or 'likeable' so the ML's will inevitably fall for them, which makes the genre fall flat for me. There's nothing interesting or original about basic mould characters like that. Ngl, this show did have many of those same issues, but it also managed to avoid some, which made it less frustrating to sit through.
But let's begin with;
THE GOOD;
- The ML (Ji-Sung)'s acting is an entertaining, visual and physically expressive pleasure to watch from start to finish. He took his roles and really went for it in each one. You can tell he was enjoying the challenge and he met it head on and aced it.
- While the FL didn't win me over in any major way, she wasn't aggravating and by the end, I was supportive of the ML and FL getting together, which is usually the whole point of a romance drama, right? So they achieved that.
- ML and FL lead chemistry seemed fine too, wasn't weird or forced. More on the sweet awkward side.
- The ML's secondary love interest was not that bad, they didn't make her totally shit. I actually kind of liked her.
- The acting of the whole cast passes muster for sure.
- The plot was actually convoluted and confusing, but not in a bad way. I actually had to rethink a few things, which I wasn't expecting.
- The show has a nice visual aesthetic, very easy on the eyes. The scenes and sets are modern and clean but not too unnatural and not too bright, with a good wardrobe department outfitting everyone suitably and the make up on the men and women isn't overdone either.
- Even though the crux of this show seems to be a cheesy childhood love turned adult romance, there was plenty else going on that it didn't make it eye rolling.
- It's funny. I always appreciate any show that can deliver some humor.
- The personalities are all quite interesting and are mostly well fleshed out.
THE BAD
- As Yo Na says, the FL is LOUD (loud, loud). Randomly and often unnecessarily. Also, the way she cries is very, uh, for lack of a better word, I'd say, unnattractive. It's like how a kid cries when they can't get their way, so they'll just burst into tears and stand or sit and openly, loudly cry and sniff and cry and scrunch their face up. That's how she cries. Maybe they cast her to cry like that because they thought it was cute? It's not cute. This made it very hard to feel bad for her in those moments.
- The music is not bad to listen to, except when it's played six times in an hour long episode and very loudly for very long during every single 'moment' the characters are having. Whether it's good or bad, the music just plays and plays and plays and NO. Editor, please pick your moments. 9 out of 10 emotional scenes were stifled by the music playing. Again, it made it hard for me to feel bad for the ML and FL during their emotional struggles and successes.
- The show has way too many episodes and a lot (I MEAN A LOT) of time is taken up by drawn out looks, exaggerated lean ins and flashback after flashback after flashback and more flashbacks. Again, editors, pick your moments. Shoving a flashback scene of a sad moment in my face ten times in each episodes means by the time you actually bring the plot home, that scene is an eyesore and I'm itching to SKIP chunks of the never ending musical flashback montage.
- In contrast, the last two episodes feel too rushed.
- Honestly, Ri On falling fall Ri Jin makes more sense than Shin Se Gi falling for her. Ri On spent almost everyday of his life with her knowing they weren't related and developing feelings all the way into adulthood, while Shin Se Gi spent a few months playing with her as kids and never got over it. I'm not a fan of 'childhood love' in general, it's weird and feels dumb, and that particular angle in this show was no exception. But at least they made up for this by making Cha Do Hyun grow to like and then love her at a more gradual pace.
- Cha Do Hyun's father not being weak and emaciated after being in a coma for 21 years was a total fail.
THE UGLY
- Episode 18 had the dumbest most nonsensical scene I've seen in a long time. The scene where Shin Se Gi drives with Ri Jin to the warehouse to see Alex and then not only does he accept her saying she'll go in, but the fact that she offers such a stupid thing is just ridiculous. The writers were obviously trying too hard to set up another 'Shin Se Gi is a badass but also a lovesick simp/Ri Jin has the power to call Do Hyun out on command' moment, which, fine, whatever, but it was too forced and unnatural in this scene to do something so plainly stupid. It would have made more sense for her to 'command' Shin Se Gi to stay put WITH HER while they both waited for Ahn to show up, then she could have gone in with Ahn if she wanted Shin Se Gi to stay outside, not go in by herself like what idiot girl would suggest such a stupid thing??? She's not a cop or trained to do something like that. Ugh. I was already 18 eps in though, or I swear, if it'd happened earlier I might have bailed. That's just bad form on the writers' part. Don't try so hard to create hardships bonding moments between your leads, there's a lot to be said for organically developed scenarios. That was not one of them. It was like Shin Se Gi lost his balls and brain in three seconds flat letting her go in there alone.
OVERALL
It's not a bad watch in the end. It's actually fun and entertaining if you have the patience for so many long eps in this genre. I won't ever watch it again though, because it's exhaustively long and I wasn't invested tbh. I didn't actually catch any feels for the characters even after so many episodes which is not a winning feature of a drama. So, you know, watch it once for the heck of it, or if you like long drawn out slow build cheesy romances that you know will have a happy ending, or if you really like Ji Sung.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Shin Se Gi dramatically saying "If you won't have me, don't touch me." and pushing Ri Jin's hands off him like a diva. What a character! xD
- Ri On meeting an actual woman named Yo Na and being traumatized enough to run away .
- Cha Do Hyun's grandmother finally smiling at him.
- Shin Se Gi and Yo Na are very memorable characters throughout.

I found this show quite slow to start, the elements discussed in the premise don't actually start until about Episode 8 and for me that was when this drama actually started moving at a decent pace - I was close to abandoning it prior to that but kept going because the premise sounded good and I wanted to see if it could deliver. In short, it did ultimately and very well, you just have to push through that slow bit in the first few episodes.
A first for me - I just didn't gel with the Female Lead in this one, crying and screaming just didn't seem real, they felt like comedy equivalents put in non-comedy places. I am going to have to look up some more dramas with the same actress to see if this is a direction thing perhaps, it's unfair to judge based on a single performance. In all other respects I thought she was great though.
The Male Lead however shines brightly, showing various different characters through the different personalities with sufficient difference between them that it's almost instantly possible to see which character has taken to the fore purely from his performance. The highlight from a sheer comedy gold perspective has to be Ahn Yo-na and the antics of love-chasing Oh Ri-on, hilarious and a nice bit of light entertainment punctuating some of the heavier scenes.
It's a complex, perhaps convluted even, plot but it makes sense once it's unraveled.
Overall worth a watch, definitely, but you will need to push through the first few episodes until she moves in with Cha Do-Yhun before the plot starts moving at a good pace - and then it's easy easy watching all the way to the end.

Hats off to this Acting ! ! !
After I made a resolution to watch all the dramas I wanted to but I didn't have the time for, I picked up this one. And wow I found I diamond. I feel as though if I say too much I will give out too many spoilers so I'll try my best in writing this review without giving away much!I only give a ten for the dramas I think are the ones that completely caught me off guard or had something unique and new in them that separated them from the rest. This drama was one of them. I had mixed feelings when I started this show mainly because this person(ML) had some problem medically and also because the title and the synopsis did not give much info about the drama and I personally felt it would be something like most amnesia dramas filled with twists and turns. But to my surprise it was something I had enjoyed for the first time especially because of the acting rather than the story. Though I know I am watching it rather late and the rating is rather too personal, but this drama deserves it from what I watched and experienced.
The story, though I had guessed much what would happen and how it would flow from the first episode, it had something I had not expected in each episode and didn't drift off topic like some dramas. I quite appreciated it having a direction and thought from beginning to end. It was of the first of this kind from what I watched mainly because I avoided anything related to amnesia and DID's but on the contrary found out I loved this drama and wanted more of the same kind. It was slightly addicting due to the fact that is shown that the ML's alternate personalities would disappear or go away, and I couldn't put down my laptop until I found out how they were gonna cure him(ML). I slightly felt reluctant to say goodbye to them as I liked each and every personality and fell in love with each of them.
I loved how the actor(Ji Sung) brought out various sides within one person and each personality he acted was unique and very well performed. I was so satisfied with his performance that at moments I felt as if it all was true and that he too experienced it(DID) as well. The acting was so real-like that he was able to win a fan like me(who rarely focuses on acting and mainly listens only to the story). From what I saw this drama was also a very good platform to him to bring out his outstanding acting. From some DID related dramas I later watched, I noticed it is quite hard to perform such kind of topics and was very surprised to actually find Ji Sung performing it very life like.
Dissociative identity disorder is sometimes a very sensitive topic among people as people have different opinions and views on each. Portraying a drama related to or focusing on such a sensitive topic was another thing I paid attention on as bringing out the importance and consequences of DID along with not being opinionated or focusing on one's own views and experiences through out the show was a very difficult thing. There was enough comedy to not make it a melo and also enough seriousness and importance shown on DID that made it easier to convey the message the director and writer wanted to convey.
And I'm not gonna say anything more about the romance, it was just right not too much and not too less, at moments it even made me feel as though the FL will fall in love with one of the ML's personalities and it will give one of those star-crossed lovers vibe. But this shows the drama achieved its motive.
Overall I would definitely recommend and rewatch it! It was nice and an enjoyable drama is to be shared. But this is totally according to and depends on peoples preferences. From what I know about myself it was one of those dramas I would never watch but watched it because I had the time and boredom but actually on the contrary enjoyed it so much I wanted to share it and watch it again sometime later. Maybe you too would feel like me. Comment if you too enjoyed it!

I don't want to get too much into detail but let me just say that Ji Sung is an extraordinary actor. All of his 7 personalities were s convincing. His acting wasn't awkward or ridiculous at all (which sadly is a frequently seen phenomena in kdramas) and his female counterpart played along really well. I also loved that the male and female lead had a good relationship and genuinly liked each other. You would think that that's a given for a couple but no, it really isn't in kdramas.
Some minor points of criticism: Omega's "romantic" storyline was a little bothersome, the constant repetition of the same flashbacks got old after a while and I felt the ending was lacking something as the last episode felt very rushed (even if the ending was realistic).
To sum it up, the plot was incredibly interesting, the acting was superb and the drama stayed good from episode 1-20 which is very rare! I would recommend this drama to anybody who likes dramatic plotlines and is not looking for the typical romance love-triangle or revenge-plot.

Wonderful romantic Drama
If it weren't for the constant screaming, the loud music and some inconsistencies, like the coma patient who gets up in bed after 20 years and kneels down - I would have given it 10 points.I liked the story idea and it was very entertaining and time runs while watching.
The main actors and even the supporting acts did a great job.
The only thing that was really annoying was the constant screaming from the main actress. I like her, but that was too much.
I also thought the main character was great and cute, but I had a crush on assistant Ahn 🥰
Watch it, if you like romantic fiction.

Kill me, heal me

A warm and beautiful story
"Kill Me, Heal Me" it's a drama about Cha Do Hyun, a man who has suffered a trauma in his childhood, leaving him with a memory lost and 6 personalities: Shin Se Gi, Ahn Yo Na, Ahn Yo Sub, Perry Park, Nana and Mr X. In a twist of fate, he meets Ri Jin, a psychiatric resident who becomes his new doctor, to help him in his daily life, as a way to stop the personalities from doing too much trouble. With time, the two realize there's a connection between them in the past, since Ri Jin starts having the same flashes of images as Do Hyun and they seem to knew each other.
The truth is that Do Hyun and Ri Jin lived for one year together, as half-siblings, but that wasn't true, since Ri Jin's birth mother made up a lie with Do Hyun's grandfather. When Ri Jin's mother dies, Do Hyun's father locks her up in the basement and abuses the girl, her only comfort is when Do Hyun comes down to play with her. One day, Do Hyun can't take the abuse anymore and that is the day Shin Se Gi is born, his first personality, the one who burns down the house and allows Ri Jin to be set free. She's taken by Sun Yeong, who raises Ri Jin was her daughter alongside with her son, Ri On.
Ri On grows up and learns the truth about his sister past, he starts digging in the story to understands what happened. What he didn't expect is that Do Hyun and Ri Jin would met coincidentally, like fate wanted them to met each other.
Ri Jin and Do Hyun are a really cute couple, the romance is light but sweet at the same time. There's not much space to see them together as a couple, since the main focus of the drama is to see Ri Jin learning more and dealing with Do Hyun's personalities, trying to find ways to help him get better. I have to say the best scenes are when the personalities are involved, specially Se Gi and Yo Na. The humor is a great selling point of this drama!
The drama is really good, it's one of the best stories I have ever seen. The characters are amazing. I loved the way the drama developed the story with Do Hyun's mental problems, showing there's nothing wrong with that, it was his way to cope with everything that happened, even his own guilt and that we all need someone on our side, someone to help, to lean, to understand. It's a beautiful story <3

Ji Sung did phenomenal In his roll, he really brought each personality alive. I laughed, I cried, I really felt for them Mr Cha and Mr. shin, my heart almost exploded for them❤️❤️ I’m just in amazement how well he did in this roll.
Hwang Jung Eum ( Oh Rin Jin) The only flaw I have to say was I had a hard time with all the screaming I eventually just got used to it. Her character was fun and how she dealt with the personality’s was cute, funny and at times heart breaking.
For the music. I loved it, the main song I had to down load it. ????
Not one for a long reviews but if you are putting this off like I did, just don’t this show is just awesome ❤️❤️

Come on Shista!
The first 3 episodes are genius and draw you in like an addict to it's charms. It's campy, hilarious & fun. It's Ji Sung's tour de force and shows off his acting abilities to their fullest. Each personality is lovable and it's incredible that the viewer can tell them apart by just his gestures, no need for props. Hwang Jung-eum is a good choice as his leading lady, as she is not a weak female and she gives as good as she gets. They play off well against one another. We have an early Park Seo-joon here where you can see his male lead aura shining through, but at times they are using him as a tap..be hilarious here (in his interactions with Ahn Yo-Na) and serious there when he's painfully in love with his adopted sister. When it's hilarious at the beginning you can overlook the inconsistencies for pure entertainment value, but when it gets to episode 15 and descends into darkness the questions that you didn't ask before get asked. Another Kdrama that would have been a masterpiece at 16 episodes. The last 5 episodes aren't really necessary. There are some fun moments when the personalities reappear but it looses it's momentum in a sea of flashbacks and happy endings. It's honestly the first time I have ever felt sorry for a ML when his mother & grandmother are bickering over him to take over the reins, honestly...these women need to get a life! The music is excellent, especially that rap. I have to applaud this drama for it's handling of such a difficult subject matter and turning into something that is a real pleasure to watch. Bravo!

Shin Se-gi is the best!
This was a really good story. Ji-Sung portrayed being 7 different people so well! I became a big fan of his because of this drama. I really believed Do-hyun had multi-personalities. This type of disorder is deeply psychological and hard to comprehend. The drama did a great job going through the trauma that caused all the personalities to come out and wrapped up how to heal Do-hyun at the end. Shin Se-gi was my favorite personality. He was straight forward and scary. He was also Do-hyun's first personality at a very young age. I felt for Do-hyun from the beginning not being in control and having to clean up after the actions of his personalities.Oh Ri-jin was hard to watch. She was so annoying. Her and Ri-on have a really good sibling bonding relationship. Blood related or not, it felt weird to think there could be any romantic feelings.
The thing I did not like was all the replays and flashbacks in every episode. They replayed what happened after it just happened! Another frustrating part of the drama was no one would answer any questions! Do-hyun's mom and grandma would make him go talk with them, but when he asks questions about the past, they just turn him away. The build up of unanswered questions did pay off big at the end. I did enjoy the big reveals and shockers of their past.
I loved the OST Auditory Hallucination, the rap part was so depressingly good!
