Both protagonists are immortal beings who are alive for a long time ( resurrected or immortal ) only that in rattan the fl is the immortal and the ml is the human. Both dramas have fantasy elements . The vibes are very similar . comedy, fantasy, and the same themes, but with a change of gender in favor of the female lol

Both are supernatural/fantasy dramas with an immortal male lead who falls in love with a human girl. Both have epic bromances, as well!

The Day After We Broke Up is a lot less comedic than Goblin but it has a very similar supernatural/magical tone to it.

You'll know what I mean once you watch it.

Both have immortal male lead characters who suffer from their fate until the female lead frees them. One thing I found similar was that both male lead characters had guilt and pain and constantly had to bury people throughout the time they were alive

I found myself wondering if The Devil Punisher was not a remake of Goblin. They have somewhat of a similar esthetic (though Goblin is much better made); look at how similar the show posters are!
If you like stories about ghost fighters and amnesia, then you'll love Goblin.

this drama has like 1/10th the viewership count to that of Goblin's, but something i consider far superior in story.

honestly, i think people who liked Goblin so much should watch this. truly an amazing drama. no fantasy though, and heavy palace politics that overrides romance. but i feel like this is THE drama that earnestly rewrites the rule for a good, heart-wrenching bromance for me, cry me a fckin river.

truly, could not recommend enough.

rating: 10/10.

Both are top 10 highest rated cable shows at the time of this recommendation that resonated with both Korean and international fans. Both are time traveling fantasy romantic dramas. Both are really funny shows that also have very compelling stories and characters.

A tale of love and adventure between an immortal fox and an artisan goddess. An eternal love that will face enemies in heaven and on earth.

Both are romances with a big age gap between a male and a female. In both the male is older one.
Both have as a main hero a loner, who lives a lonely life even though he doesn't have any money issues. A person who only wears dark colours and lives for his work (which he regards as the mission of his life) and has established part of his past life in a foreign country (which is in one of the dramas Neitherlands and in the other Canada). In both he shares a house with another male, whom the female lead almost befriends... Both have many flashbacks about his past.
In both the female lead is somebody, continuing her study, who he encounter by chance. The female is the person who finds him first due to a misunderstanding.

They are both supernatural. In Gumiho, the main girl is not a human and in order to become one she needs a human. She is +500 YO.
In Goblin, Kim Shin is not human too. He is +900 YO. He wants to end his immortality. In order to that he needs a human bride.
Goblin has more interesting storyline and has a strong sweet bromance too.

Both has a supernatural element to it. In Goblin, Eun Tak can call him by blowing a candle. In Master's Sun, Tae Gong Shil can avoid ghosts by touching him.

Kim Shin was once an unbeatable general in Goryeo's military who died a tragic death. He now possesses immortality but is tired of living while everyone else around him dies. For 900 years, Kim Shin has searched for his bride, a mortal who can pull out the sword and end his life. One day, he encounters Ji Eun Tak, a positive, upbeat high school student who can see the dead and has gone through tragic events, yet still stays strong. She claims to be the Goblin's bride who can end his immortal life, but what appears to be an easy task, only gets complicated, as the two fall in love.

Both contain characters cursed with immortality. The gods have physical incarnations (Or one at least in Long For U 2). There is a "reaper-like" character in both dramas as well as a goblin character (They're both the same person in Long For U 2). Overall, both similarly enjoyable!
