Above my expectations
Okay so to begin with I myself don't know how many times I skipped this title because1) I thought it was just hyped
2) didn't get attracted to synopsis
3) didn't like poster as well
4) thought it would be typical push and pull love triangle
Now coming to the main point
I am so happy was wrong. I was out of drama so I thought of watching just 1 episode atleast to judge it (since it was always popping in my feed)
And OohMmyyGoddd
This was such a great watch. I binged watched it. The story has different concept which i loved.
Their actings are so natural everyone not just main leads everyone
The male lead
I blushed everytime I saw him.. He was so cute and adorable in his role.
The female lead
She is so sweet and cute as well.
Their chemistry was *swoon worthy *
Okay so the review may be never ending
But in conclusion
It is cute, fluffy, soft, emotional ( yeah the emotions arr potrayed so well) and all those good adjectives.
It is a must watch for me
And definitely gonna re-watch it when I want something heart warming light story.

It all ends the way it started. With grown men getting a beating from a tiny little woman, but this time around there’s two of them and the mobsters still run in fear and tears. Also, they were their babysitters.Personally, I through-fully enjoyed the mobsters storyline from beginning to end, and it’s so like them to get conned and end up in embarrassment yet again. In their defense, they are like a phoenix that keeps on rising from the ashes, again and again. And despite their ways, they were kind of good guys once you got to know them and kept them in line.
Another incredibly funny storyline were the neighborhood kids, who I was sorry to not see at Bong-soon’s wedding, and just kept brining laugher with every scene they were at. Their journey was equally enjoyable as the mobsters, sometimes even more because theirs was a love story with their Noonim. And I love how they went to have a little talk with Min-hyuk to know more about his intentions with their boss. I love even more than he had no idea Bong-soon had this group of high-school kids patrolling the neighborhood too. HAHAHAHA!
Also, it was good that the show clarified that Mom didn’t use physical violence against Dad *that* time around. I still believe that the show didn’t portray this woman in the right way and that her journey wasn’t all that. She’s still the bully she was at 19, the only difference is that she doesn’t use her fists. Should I be applauding this? And I would have like for Dad to make an stand other than to leave the house, for example, how about a real talk between them? He was such an endearing, honest and good character thorough out the show that I grew to love him as I love our leads. He is precious. It gives me hope that the last scene between him and Mom was much more peaceful than usually when Gook-doo’s mom was involved.
I’m also happy awesome bro Bong-ki got some screen time too. This was such a good character, just like Dad, and I was sorry we didn’t get to see more of him. I also think his storyline with Hee-ji was a little rushed at the end. And it doesn’t seem like it because Bong-ki spent a lot of time healing broken bones (thanks to his sis) but this relationship was really put to a test: Gook-doo found out not only that he had been lying through out their entire lives by keeping Bong-soon’s secret but also that his girlfriend was attracted to his best friend. So I appreciate how their friendship remained strong even after everything they went through.
As for other characters like Secretary Gong and Mr. Oh, they were another great comedy act. Especially when they were together and I love how their bromance was born by getting to know each other better through their shared experiences with Bong-soon’s abilities. Pffft!
Finally, Min-kyuk really changed through the story: started as a lonely guy looking for protection from his own family and ending up as a man with a family to protect. He was smart, honest and assertive from day one, and not once he tried to change Bong-soon into something she wasn’t. The greatest attribute Min-hyuk had was that he never made Bong-soon feel that she had to hide from the world, what’s more he even encouraged and helped her to be more like her true self and come into her powers. He always tried to be there for his girl but was more than willing to be a proud onlooker when the time called for it and let Bong-soon do what she had to do.
Bong-soon’s journey was also something to witness. When we first met her she was hiding from the world, afraid of her powers and by extention herself. These abilities she was born with had made her an outcast despite her spunk and outgoing personality, she was confident but had insecurities. Some of them born out of crush and others from the idea society holds on how a woman should be and behave.
I liked how the show connected her personal life with the city’s problems, because in a way they are one and the same, by having her best friend being kidnapped by the resident psycho. It was a good move since she was already gaining the confidence to do more with her powers by watching the news, her interactions with the mobsters and the neighborhood’s kids and Min-hyuk, who knew from day one about her powers and didn’t rejected her. He thought she was sexy! All of these factors made Bong-soon want to become the heroine of her life (beyond a video game) and I really loved to see her grow into a truly strong woman ready to take on the world.
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon wasn’t a perfect show but it was really entertaining and sweet, made me swoon and laugh out loud more than twice per episode, and I’m going to miss these characters and their shenanigans!!

STORY: The story is of Do Bong Soon who doesn’t have much to recommend herself except for exceptional strength that is passed through the female line of her family. Now if you are looking for Bong Soon to be a superwoman who fights for the downtrodden, she does get there….just not very quickly. Admittedly she whines her way through many episodes but comes into her own around episode twelve.
She is helped along the way by Ahn Min Hyuk (played by Park Hyung Shik) and In Gook Doo (another cutie..Ji Soo). There is a serial kidnapper and some very interesting Korean mafia type people that provide much of the groans and comedic situations. Her parents are more of a hindrance than help but they also provide more groans and laughs.
CHARACTERS: I did love the characters, mainly because each and everyone of them made me cringe at least once during the sixteen episodes. I prefer to notice someone is on the screen rather than have them disappear into the background like a piece of furniture. Park Bo Young did a great job of making Bong Soon likeable, even when she whined. She had the character really changing in the last three episodes and we really saw what a TRULY strong woman Bong Soon was (I adore the scene with the walnuts and the kidnapper).
I can see why my nieces love Park Hyung Shik. He was completely lovable as Min Hyuk and I’ve said it before, those smiles are deadly. I would have watched it until the bitter end with just him smiling in every episode. He is a difficult man to despise.
The rest of the characters were well done and mostly obnoxious which adds to the fun of the show. I did like the story arc of the mafia people. At the end with that rag tag group, it was very funny and touching all at once.
MUSIC: The music was so so but not totally annoying. I didn’t rush out to download any songs and didn’t endlessly search for YouTube videos of the music so I could relive the experience.
Overall, this wasn’t a bad show. It wasn’t my favorite, but it definitely is a good watch to detox from binging on intense c-dramas. Don’t be discouraged if Do Bong Soon isn’t the super hero you are looking for in the beginning. By the end, she definitely comes into her own and shows us what a strong woman can really achieve.

A fantastic drama, fully of joy and laughter!
I really loved this drama. When I first started this drama, I had no idea I would fall in love with the characters and the storyline. I had one started this drama before and then quit, but I am so happy that I started this drama again. The chemistry between the main characters is the best. Park Hyun Shik and Ji soo are both very handsome and lovely (I really love Park Hyun Shik with all my heart). I recommend this to anyone who wants to watch the funniest and cutest drama ever. And the last thing that caught my attention is that usually the dramas show the happiness of the female lead when the two main characters fall in love, but in this drama, Park Hyun Shik is the God of Cuteness to me and the drama shows how he gets excited when the female lead pays attention to him.
Last words: just watch it!

perfeito, 10/10.

This drama is really lovely, short and sweet. You have Ahn Min Hyuk, CEO of a gaming company who acts very uncaring, and Do Bong Soon, who has power of strength but who is very sweet and caring to towards people she cares about. Both actors were great in this show, and I really enjoyed watching how they both developed both in their personality and in their relationship. It is not a fast moving drama, at least not in the romance department so if that is what you are wanting you have to wait for it since it develops slowly. Highly recommend you watch this drama and decide if it is right for you. I truly enjoyed it. Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
It takes a different approach which is refreshing and they do it very well. The show did start to slow down around the 8th episode but nothing to bad.
It was definitely interesting to see how such a cute and funny show could also be very intense. Overall you will be smiling but get ready some serious moments as well.
The actors have great chemistry and did a great job showing all the different emotions experienced throughout the series.
I very highly recommend this show to everyone!

Comedy, romance, and mystery combined. Wow
This series is so fun and amazing. I was hooked from the first episode. The comedy was amazing, the relationships felt real and made sense. The actors were so good. The music was nothing spectacular but it didn’t detract and the superpower girl song was pretty good. Male and female lead had amazing chemistry. The whole thing was funny. Love and family relationships showed development. The plot was good. The mystery was interesting. The whole show was satisfying to watch. Actually bought the series on DVD just so I could watch it again after they took it off Netflix. Would definitely recommend.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
I Just... Don't Know.
So... I don't know what to say about Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. Was it a good drama? Sure I enjoyed. Was it my favorite? Not by a long shot. So much happened in this drama that I found myself looking to see how much longer I had for each episode. It felt like they were trying to jam 3 dramas into 1 and it was a chore to watch them. The acting was great and I enjoyed the characters, but just didn't like how the exacuted the drama as a whole. Could have been better and could have been worse. Do I plan on rewatching it??? Yeah, but only if I'm really, really desperate for something to watch.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

My second ever kdrama!SWDBS is definitely up there as one of my fave kdramas. Many have said that the story tried to do too much but honestly I didn't see it like that. I saw a brilliant drama that just managed to intertwine the genre of romance, comedy and crime well. I feel that people put too many categories down as what a kind of kdrama it is. People believe that an office romance or having powers and the fact there is a serial killer in the drama is doing 'too much' to the story but I think it was done well enough so that it didn't affect the chemistry of the main leads.
Both PHS and PBY were perfect in this drama and their chemistry is defo one of the best I have seen. And my poor little Jisoo once again just falling short of being the guy for the female lead. But honestly this one was made for the Park couple.
The only flaw I saw in this drama really was the whole relationship with Guk Doo's ex and DBS' brother. Just thought it was unnecessary and also a plot hole as what even happened there??
Other than that, it was one of my rated 10 drama.

If you love comedy and happy endings, please watch this show!
I loved this show. Though I had to watch it more than once to better understand the story, I loved the comedic tone. It completely balanced with the scenes that were emotional and quite serious. This was especially necessary because the serial killer in the show was written in such a sadistic way.I especially loved the romantic chemistry between Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Shik. Their chemistry made the story seem more real and fluid; it also helped to differentiate the reasons why Park Bo Young's character made the romantic choices she did throughout the series. It took me two viewings of the show to understand the love triangle, so if you have trouble I would suggest re-watching the show to better understand.
FYI: I loved the grandmother the best. Her role in the show was a small one but she was very memorable.
