Zhong Yu goes to Yuan Chun for help, while A Chu stops Wen Huai's guards from destroying evidence of the assassins. As Wen Yue prepares to go to battle for the Emperor, he takes steps to ensure Wen Huai is also not in the capital so as to protect Yun Xan from his machinations.
