A Love So Beautiful (2017)

Similar premise, a simple high school romance which blossoms slowly but heartwarmingly, similar themes of friendship as well.

The plot is same here ml chases fl there fl chases ml it really fun watching them it's almost the same sml drama friendship second lead couples and stuff you will enjoy watching it

It starts off with high school classmates Chen Xiao Xi and Jiang Chen who are also neighbors. Xiao Xi, a cheerful girl who doesn't study much, is expressive about her admiration towards Jiang Chen, the popular guy known for his looks and high grades. Together with their fellow classmates the funny Lu Yang, athletic but loyal Jing Xiao, and cool swimming team member Wu Bo Song, they embark on high school life to university until their adult life.

-set during a high school period, where the main leads are still attending school!
-cute main female lead with short hair that falls in love with mature, cold and aloof male lead
-second male lead is super extroverted and cute as well
-second cp couple also super adorable
-different family relations plot lines (ALSB is a lot more meaningful)

Story somehow connect with each other .Bubbly female lead and cold and straight face male lead and helpful and attractive second lead .
And best thing is directed by same director.

it has the same feel... based in high school, with a similar story premises
the love triangle is also remotely similar. and both the girls give of the same vibe

- families of the leads are friends .
- calm and handsome male lead .
- the second male lead is a friend .
- the annoying girl who is good at study .
- female lead in love with some kind of art .

The slow and steady quiet burn for the FL from the ML are kind of similar. How they seek to be quietly near the FL. That's about all that's similar, but I find that kind of ML with that kind of quiet burn is hard to find. It's the vibe that's similar and not the actual story or character.

In both, the bubbly/optimistic FL changes the ML's seemingly cold personality. MYEM is slightly darker and less romanticized, but it does have sweet moments that sometimes reminded me of ALSB.

A love so beautiful (ALSB) is simply an uplifting show! You can't help but smile.
It's a show with lots of couple time.
ALSB is funny, super sweet, cute, and simply adorable. The genius boy is still cold but supportive in his own way. A common characteristic amongst high IQ individuals is lower empathy... but in ALSB the main male lead has family reasons for not having a higher EQ.
There are so many remakes, adaptations, and versions of the original Itazura Na Kiss-- and I thought the Thai version was the best-- until I I saw ALSB now in Feb 2018. The Thai version is sweeter than the original (2/3 Japanese, 1 Korean, and 2 Taiwanese versions) but it still pretty much follows the original melodramatic storyline.
