Please Don't Let The Negative Comments Sway You!
Honestly, I'm writing this review purely to encourage others to give this show a go! I really thought I wasn't going to enjoy it because of all the negative comments and reviews I read beforehand (plus, I can be a harsh and picky critic). But, I was pleasantly surprised.Story: Obviously, this drama isn't flawless - it would have gotten a higher rating if it wasn't for my own nitpicking. However, it really isn't as bad as everyone says. At all. I would only say stay away from this drama if you're only interested in light, cute, fluffiness. It has these moments, but it also has quite a bit of angst. Which would be expected from the premise alone. I cried a lot and I was extremely invested in the lead characters.
Acting: I sincerely thought the acting was pretty good! I hate how there are people who automatically assume idols can't act or judge them unfairly. I like some Red Velvet songs but I've never been a stan. So I didn't have any biased opinions on her or see her as an 'idol' while watching. I love how she portrayed her character and I didn't find her acting awkward at all. The ML and FL had amazing chemistry also, I'm going to miss them as a couple.
Music: Great soundtrack - I don't have much to say on this except that it was a little repetitive.
Rewatch Value: Usually, I will rate this part low if there was a lot of angst but I loved the couple so much that I probably will rewatch it just for them in the future!

SO SO SO DAMN GOOD
I waa not gonna watch this but when i did...it was one of my best life choices!Im sure most of the bad ratings are coz of the last 1-2 or 3 episodes ?? It was so good since the start. I remember my breathing pick up the fast pace when the lead role would seduce women and wow the acting and storyline is awesome. Hats off to the writer, produces and director.
Joys acting here was actually quite good too while people go on criticising her. You might want to give this a shot coz it was worth watching ngl

The story overall was fine but they ruined the potential. The cast weren't that good(the main leads especially joy). Or maybe it's because of how quickly the plot started going downhill. It became more and more boring to watch to much make-up and break up.They would makeup then breakup everytime something happens or a secret is revealed then she continues as if nothing happened. I watched it thinking it was gonna be something interesting because of the title and the teaser photos. I'm really disappointed. It was going great at first but it got so uninteresting.
I'm also mad about how they made su-ji look like the villain. If not, the selfish ones were the main characters. There is no character development at all. I only watched until the end for the second leads they deserved so much better. The male lead was the one who betrayed them but they really tried to make the others seem toxic.
If you have free time you could watch it. It could be an experience. But it really wasted my time.

mmmm... not exciting.
from watching the first episodes I was anticipating something really spicy, scandalous. rich people with nothing to lose and lot of power to create scandals but I was quickly disappointed.the drama really kicks in 3 episodes from the very end.
I ended up skipping a lot of scenes and flashbacks.
we all know the plot. bad guy tries to seduce an innocent girl because of a bet he made with his childhood friends but ends up falling in love with the girl.
nothing new but also nothing wrong with it. the fact is that I was expecting more depravity from these "tormented" characters but the story feels really teenager level of drama.
I wouldn't recommend it but I don't to bash it either.

Tempted was alright... but I think I've seen better dramas than this
Apart from seeing a few reviews from viewers and thoughts on the drama from friends, I went into this drama with no high expectations whatsoever, I mainly started the series out of boredom and for something to watch while I sat back and relaxed. There were parts where I found the plot confusing yet interesting such as the whole bet with Eun Tae Hee who was apparently Ki Young's "first love" although we didn't see much of their chemistry and looked like friends to me. And other times, when they included things I found unnecessary like the drama with Sooji's Mom and Si Hyun's Dad and this Tieuzen drug (I mainly skipped through it cause I didn't find it interesting enough to watch through) I mainly was interested in their kids (Sooji and Sihyun + Eun Tae Hee and Sejoo) and the other bits of drama that the writer randomly threw in to make things engrossing. The acting was alright, I think out of all the kids I think Moon Ga Young had the best acting you could see all the emotion on her face, and something I forgot she was acting and felt sorry for her. When it came to Sejoo and Si Hyun's acting, I can't lie I laughed at their crying scenes, I've never seen two people cry and howl so ugly before. Joy's acting was okay, she did better on the crying scenes than Sejoo and Si Hyun's actors in my opinion. OSTS were nice, I found myself bopping my head to some of them while watching the drama. Definitely gonna add a few to listen to in my KDrama playlist! Don't think I'd watch this again, maybe some scenes if I find it on Social Media for a video edit but other than that I don't think I see myself rewatching it again.

Where exactly did it fell?? Could be because of the irritating sub-plots like the Parents' story arc, Tae Hee's irritating friend, and because instead of dark, we got mushy, characters whining over stupid stuff. Instead of tragedy the the original source material, we got forced happy ending (with very little tragedy).
Acting wise I think Joy was a little mediocre. Moon Ga Young stood out for me. She was literally the Queen with her eyes and her beauty. Actually the Trio were great in the beginning. The Piano music was brilliant sometimes and suited the dark heavy scenes. Rest of the music was Ok, Ok.
Could have been great. Felt Meh. Rooted for Soo Ji and Se Jo throughout.

I am also confused when taehee’s mom didn’t know that shi hyun’s dad is going to get married for that long.it is just impossible for her not to know sooner
I can’t believe i wasted my time watching this.i cared more about the friendship of the thre characters than tae hee and shi hyun.that is when you know you failed to direct and to write a story.

Joy‘s acting has improved so much since her first drama and also throughout the drama. I love her and people should definitely give her a chance. Her chemistry with Do Hwan is outstanding, LIKE REALLY. The second leads were also enjoyable. It’s not a drama for everyone but you have to see it for yourself.
My favorite part about this drama was Joy and Do Hwan and their chemistry. Do Hwans acting is outstanding.

Still Deciding…
So, did you ever watch a drama and can’t decide if what you just watched was good or bad? I still can’t decide if I should give this a lower rating than what I gave it. The description of this drama is very different than it actually is. I expected a kind of dark story, with the ML seducing women as a hobby, and leaving many broken hearts in the process. Well, I didn’t get that. What I got was a love story with several senseless, frustrating break ups, most of which didn’t make sense, a plot twist that toyed with the viewer throughout the story, a rather unemotional Eun Tae Hee, Woo Do Hwan that took more crap than I ever would, and it was frustrating. I found myself yelling at the TV, “Wake up you idiot, and quit taking her s***!” I thought Moon Ga Young and Kim Min Jae were very good in this, and I liked their story better than the main story. And, don’t even get me started about the ending. I mean please…. The ML waits 5 years, as I’m yelling at the TV at him again. But it wasn’t all bad, and I am glad I watched it. But, I’m still debating the overall rating I gave it. Read the high ratings, and you might decide to give it a chance like I did.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
