Sweet Love Story
A feel good watch. It’s a sweet love story, nice flow from beginning to end. I liked that there was no push and pull in the relationship. She Yi Jie very sure of his feelings and Fei Sheng Zhe, he made it very clear that Yi Jie is his :-). Yes! Btw, Hang Zhang reminds me a little of Jasper Liu.Yi Jie and Sheng Zhe’s interactions are very natural - there’s jealousy, anger, cute moments :-). Yo Yo did very well too.
I found the almost ending scene “Daddy I wan’t to be a flower girl” funny and cute.
As you can see on my comments lots of cute scenes.

The twist that they brought at the end the one that I didn’t expect, I knew at some point there will be a past of him (at least one of them) would come in the middle of their happiness.
I love the chemistry amongst them, so many “flowers” flourished in between. lol
I hardly can’t wait for watching another one!

HIStory nunca decepciona

Feel good series
I love this! The topic about a grown man with child falling in love with a young man is just adorable. But what I love most is, that Shi Yi is to straight forward with his feelings. He just accepts that the one he loves is a man - simple as that. He is so damn brave!
And with his braveness he "pulls Fei with into the sunlight" (I adore this quote so much). For me, the series is just one big celebration that love is love. Of course Yo Yo being a child just accepts the fact aswell - I have the strong believe that if children are tought open-minded this is exactly the reaction they would have. Education is everything!
The music is awesome aswell.
So, this is one big watch-recommendation and for me one of the best shows about "mature" love-stories.

The acting is pretty consistent, across episodes and across all actors/actresses. There are two scenes, however, where I found Hunt's acting a little awkward. In the first one, he was supposed to be angry but I just couldn't feel the rage and passion from him. In the second, he was supposed to be very sad but the emotion just wasn't reaching me and it felt forced. If I remember correctly, both scenes were in Episode 1 (or maybe one was in Episode 2). It almost put me off, but I'm glad I continued because it never happened again. In the rest of the series, the acting was so well-done I almost forgot about it until I rewatched from the start after finishing. The series as a whole also just got better and better with each succeeding episode.

Coming into this off the back of "crossing the line" and not season one, I had no reason to think it would be a flop of a production, and I was very excited to see the efforts shown in CTL carry over. While the series does have it's short comings, it is over-all very entertaining, and has just enough drama to raise the stakes and get you invested, without being over dramatic. Considering how short it is, it does well to keep everything compact, without making things seem overly glossed-over.
Story (spoilers?)
Personally, age gaps are one of my favorite plot devices, and I think they handle this very tastefully. It ever feels like its a student being taken advantage of by a teacher. Though, i find their back story (the meeting in front of the bar) to be slightly convoluted and unneeded. There were better ways they could strengthen the main couple's connection.
The daughter is another great plot device (that's basically what she'd used for honestly, she drives most of the plot without retaining much real character, though its mainly due to her age.) Honestly though, You You, however bad her acting was at times was extremely cute and her part in the final ending scene nearly brought tears out.
There is the tired and old story arch of the "evil ex" used in this, I personally would have liked the time spent on her to have been dedicated to more domestic scenes, but I can see the story needed a "risk" arch added. It did its part well.
Acting
AMAZING. I would actually place it above CTL in being realistic. The connection between the two mains is at first a little ham-fisted, but it grows into a natural mutual attraction (though it comes on rather abruptly for Shiyijie, it's hinted at from the start so it's actually not too bad in the end. Their... /physical/ scenes are also done very well, and even thought this verges on an R rating at one point, it does so very tastefully and realistically. (while the lead up was so cheesy I almost punch Shiyijie in the face through my screen)
Re-watch?
Yes, probably when I'm in need for this kind of plot again in a few months.

Taiwan Same Sex Marriage
The fact that Taiwan is the only country in Asia that legalize same-sex marriage makes me feel confident that this is a story near to reality. The story is simple and unique in its own way. The simplicity of the story makes it better compared to other BL series I have watched. I admire how Yi Jie educate her daughter about love and same-sex marriage. I've seen a lot of comments about the age gap between Yie Jie and Sheng Ze, Teacher-Student relationship, but I believe there is nothing wrong with that. It shows that whatever gender, age, race or religion you have, love has no boundaries. The love between them is so pure which I admire the most. This is worth watching. You can give it a try.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
A cute family
I really liked this BL for two main reasons:-First, YoYo is adorable and seing her dad and Fei Sheng Zhe taking care of her and have family moments make the story really cute because more than a love story, it's the built of a family
-Also, the subjects treated are realistic and must be faced by a lot of LGBTQ+ in Asian countries and all over the world so it was heart warming to see them treated that well.
(And there was no forced sex :3)
My only regret is the fact that it was a bit short I would have like to see more but I'll rewatch it with pleasure anyway.

The story it's not perfect, it does stumbles around at times but, they really compensate that with a lot of heart and good acting by most of the main characters. They all work together to make the story happen and they do an excellent job at it.
The music it's not really the main focus in most scenes, and not even necesary because you get lost in the story. But as in any drama, it does help to make better an already good scene.
Go watch it. And then watch it again. You will love it. ;)

Wowow I love this series. The story is great and is super thought out, especially with the addition of the Yoyo it really was perfect. I would give a 9.85 but ya can't so 10 it is, only because of the age differences I'm not one to judge, seriously I promise I'm not and if you really love each other (which these guys absolutely do) then go for it screw everyone elses opinions on the differences in age. It was off putting at first but grew on me because you can see just how much they care for each other. Mostly because of every action that Shi Yi Joe does.
The actors are grEAT (ESPECIALLY YOYO BLESS HER SO MUCH) but they seem kinda awkward at first...? It works really well though because of the teacher/student relationship.
The music..... Isn't really memorable. Now in my position I skip the openings apart from in the last episode and/or the first episode. (Usually just the last episode I watch because the openings sometimes give MASSIVE spoilers which I don't want in the first episode.) But other than the opening song I don't really remember much else.
I would absolutely rewatch this, and I think I rewatched the last episode the day after I finished just incase I missed any details.
Amazing show pls watch-

Viki lists this as HIStory 2: Ep. 1-4
This installment is under appreciated in my opinion. It's a teacher/student power dynamic, tsundere/sunshine pairing, plus cohabitation with themes of self acceptance and family domesticity. It's a slow burn but high heat (and that heat is good). The uke is out gay, the seme is unapologetically bi, and it's the first time Taiwanese BL flexed its marriage equality muscles.Triggers includes some verbal and physical gay bashing (not from the seme) and child abandonment/neglect (yes from the seme). The second half it a lot better than the first.
There really is no other BL like this one. RECOMMENDED
