I may not have the words to accurately describe the magic that was Go Go Squid! I loooved this show...evidenced by the fact that I breezed through all 41 episodes and didn't want it to end. I avoid long dramas like the plague but this...one...this one had me.I managed to watch GGS after one failed attempt, like many other people, I took a peek, thought the lead was not as handsome and too cold. Boy, was I in for a surprise! I am 100000% head over heels in love with Han Shangyan and can't imagine anyone else but Li Xian pulling off that role. It was amazing to watch him fall in love with our Little Squid. Yang Zi as Nian Nian was phenomenal and has cemented her as one of my absolute favourite actresses. Together, these two had explosive chemistry.... couldn't get enough of them. I think I'll always have the image of Nian shouting Han Shangyaaaaaaaan! and jumping him......sooooooo cuuuuuute.
I just had a problem with the fact that HS hurt Nian Nian so badly and she didn't get a proper explanation for that. It was also difficult to stomach the lying. Still, the characters were both imperfect and completely understanding of each other's shortcomings. Ultimately, they were relatable; it made sense that they were meant for each other.
I love when I leave a drama having learnt a lot of new things about sth I never knew about. GGS introduced the CTF world and blended it so seamlessly into the plot. The whole show was so incredibly balanced with all the characters feeding into the main story. At first, I thought, there were too many and the flashbacks too long but it was essential to get that proper understanding about Team Solo and the birth of K&K. I grew and learnt with all these guys and just adored the K&K gang.
I think the memory of Go Go Squid! will always make me smile. One of my all-time favourites.

Wonderful, feel good series
I thoroughly enjoyed this drama. I usually binge through series so 41 episodes can really be taxing and pacing problems are more glaring compared to watching in bite-sized episodes. However, this drama is well-paced, I never felt bored, I only skipped 3 times (for flashbacks that have been replayed thrice), and kept asking for more. I am a fan of tsundere tropes, with my favorite being ISWAK. I am aware of ISWAK's problematic story so I had reservations with this drama, fearing that it will characterize FL as the perpetual victim of the ML. I'm ecstatic to be proven wrong. It's a pleasure to watch both of the parties grow together, with the ML acknowledging his own shortcomings and changing not only for his love interest but to other people as well (as opposed to continuing being a prick like it's some personality quirk). The FL gaining confidence in her own communication skills and voicing her opinions steadfastly despite the age difference, and even offering to support both of them. I just wish there were more opportunities to show Tong Nian dominating her field, though! Finally, I appreciate the fact that they are developing to be more equal in the relationship instead of continuing the domineering trope until the end. :)My only qualm are the cast inconsistencies. Sometimes, missing cast members are very noticeable due to a situation that would obviously call for the members, especially Wu Bai. There are a lot of parts in the story that would call for Wu Bai, but he wasn't there. I'm not entirely familiar with the Chinese drama landscape though.
Anyway, this series isn't perfect, yes, but it's feel good, well-paced, and very "kilig" (giddy, sweet). I have been smiling randomly like an idiot whenever I remember any of the scenes. I recommend this whole-heartedly!

Cute story
This was an enjoyable, cute story. There wasn't a character that I really disliked and the OST was also pretty good.Would I recommend it? Weeeell.... I'm not mad that I watched it, but I have a lot of spare time. If I had limited time to watch dramas and I couldn't watch something else because I chose this story, then I'd maybe be unhappy.
41 episodes are way to much. There were way to many unnecessary repeated scenes and filler. Only Charles Dickens should be paid per word. It would have been much better if it was 20 episodes at most. I had very little interest in the history of Team Solo, but that's just me and therefore I don't even include this as filler. Of the 27 hours I probably fast forwarded 10 hours.
I personally also really disliked the clothes and hair style of the FL. This is obviously very subjective, but I kept wondering "what is she wearing, and why?" Her her was cut unevenly and her clothes made no sense. This would usually not bother me, but her clothes were really weird.
The actress also apparently has never kissed someone or seen someone being kissed. Her lips literally didn't change position from being in a normal relaxed state to kissing. Initially I thought it was to show her innocence (although the ML was also innocent, yet he could kiss), but this didn't get better. The ML could have kissed a wall or a door for all the reaction he got from her. It brought the romance of the story from 10 to 7.
It has very little re-watch value for me since I really enjoyed less than 40% of the story. If someone edits it down to 10 hours I would watch it again in a heartbeat. So try this if you love C-dramas, you have a lot of time to spare OR you really have nothing else to watch.

Guys I swear, you have to watch it! That story and actors are just excellent! I watch CDramas for a really long time. And I’ve seen “Go, go squid” on my screen, but I wasn’t sure if I should watch it. So I started to watch it and in at the 1st episode I understood that probably it‘ll be my favourite drama. And I was right.And right now (in the middle of night) I’m crying ‘cause I finished that beautiful journey with them. And it turns out that it’s my favourite drama .Really guys there is no word which can describe how excellent this drama is!❤️BEST DRAMA OF ALL TIMES!❤️

Very good TV drama
I like this TV drama,, very touching. Watched few times already. All actors and actresses were acting well. Especially like actor Lee Hong-Chi‘s accent, even I do not totally understand all, but like it. Actress Andy Yang, is lovely; a truly child genes.Wish there are more TV drama like this one. During this crazy COVID time, a good TV drama helps people who is working at home to spend their free time after work at home and unable to go outside.
Wish all chinese drama will have an England Sub, help those people, who likes TV drama but unable to understand Chinese, still enjoy watching it.

If you have the patience, however, the story only gets better with time. The boys in K&K will catch your heart, Yang Zi and Li Xian are adorable in together, and the family relationships (Solo and his daughter, Tong Nian's family, ShangYan, Wu Bai and grandpa) will keep you with a smile in the face.

I must also say they did a good job in highlighting the BTS of the e-sports industry. The adrenaline rush in and between competitions in the drama are really intense and realistic. Not only that, it highlights the family and comrade-hood spirit that is very heartwarming to watch.

Very cute love story
I loved the story and Tong Nian and Han Shangyan are so cute together. Although there were times that I felt like they really did not show more of Tong Nian's intelligence and all, I'm quite satisfied with the outcome and I really need a third season with the original casts because the acting and the story was much better than the second one (don't mean to offend the season 2 cast ok) but yeah, and I need more of Yaya and Xiao Mi's love story. They are just sooo adorable.Overall, I do recommend this story for y'all. AAAAAAAAAA!!!!

Cast and Acting
The ML and FL had good chemistry and I looked forward to their moments together. This is a lighthearted, fluffy romance and there wasn't any annoying love triangles. Man do I hate love triangles. Yang Zi did a good job acting the naive girl who pursued her love. There wasn't any stupid misunderstandings between the two leads and even when they had a few troubles in between they resolved it quickly. I liked the fact we didn't have to wait till the very end to see them together.
Plot
The story is about the ML tragic past and his vision for the present while he falls in love. This wasn't a bad vs good story. The ending was a bit abrupt for my liking tho. The pacing was good throughout.
Custume
Only Yang Zi could have pulled off the somewhat weird clothes she wore in this drama. It just highlighted the fact she was an eccentric genius. I liked how the ML initially wore only black clothing and the FL wore bright cheerful clothing. I think this style portrayed their personalities. The two extremes
OST/Songs
I really loved the intro and the extro OST and everything in between. Both Yang Zi and the ML can sing IRL and so it was a pity that when they sang in the drama it was a soundtrack. Okay that sounds confusing but what I'm trying to say is when the leads had to sing in the drama it didn't sound natural and I hated that about the drama.
Overall this is a fluffy drama that I will definitely watch again.

Firstly i kinda lazy to watch it, but every time i search for Chinese drama this always comes up as a recommendation. But finally never regret watch it & re-watch it again and again. This one of the Chinese drama that I love to re-watch it again and again. The cute tong nian (TN) and the cool han shang yan (HSY) firstly kinda not really suitable, but in the end they kinda completed each other. This kind Love At First Sight we always dream to be our reality that i think attract most us to the story. Their awkwardness in the beginning until their sweet attitude with each other really drawn me to them.
In the review there is someone write about not bring the TN intelligent forward, but for me when TN can understand what HSY play about it show the intelligent of TN because i really have no idea what they playing about... -_- But yeah a little agreed there because I actually kinda expect TN to be join the team in the end when the say they need new blood to the team.
This drama can make me smile to myself when see the behavior of TN when she so happy and so fall in love... So childish, but also so cute...
My most fav scene when TN drunk, especially when she answer her mom call. I can't stop laughing.... :D My fav song is bread and butter so easy to listen. :3

Must Must Watch
This drama was amazing. Though I am writing thr review now but this was the very first C-drama I've started with when I was a mere beginner. Give this to me and I can watch over and over again.The cast was amazing :
• Yang Zi gave her all in this drama. She being an adult played the role of an 18 year old perfectly. The bubbliness, her emotions and expressions, her way of talking and smiling everything was damn perfect.
• Li Xian played his role to a great extent. He looks like a cold-hearted, emotionless human being on this earth, just focusing on his gaming world and aimed just for winning and ignores LOVE, stuck with the past. But gradually everything changes, though slowly, after FL comes to his life.
•The Teams and team members. In one word they're just hilarious and their bond is perfect. Though everyone had their own flaws, difference in age and experience, different family backgrounds, they were stuck together with a binding force.
• Family members. They were all awesome too. The parents of the FL shows that how parents should be, though the mother of the FL was too protective(I am not comolaining cause generally parents are like that, overprotective for their children so that they may not face any danger). The step-mom amd the grandpa of the ML were fabulous in a word. I understood the meaning of family support from these 2 characters.
•Friends in this drama were a backing up the Best frind of the FL showed that girls can have a good bonding too rather than jealousy. The friends of the ML showed that even though we have differences among oureswlves, we must solce it quickly as possible and also giving good ideas and directions for relationships, dates etc etc.
I loved the OSTs.
I loved the graphics.
I actually loved the whole withput any discrimination.
And I can watch it over and over though I have watched it for over 6 times.

I loved this one! I am a fan of gaming dramas and i love that each one of them is similar in their theme yet so different in their approach. The lead pair is really dynamic especially the actress. Yang Zi is sweet and her character's resolve to be with Li Xian's character in spite of him being mean to her is remarkable. Apart from the romance, the thread of friendship and betrayal is beautifully woven. The lead actor portrays this cold aloof man who eventually succumbs to the heroine, very effectively. We as an audience feel her helplessness at times. I wish they would have focussed a bit more on her singing career too. Wu Bai portrayed as the cousin was pretty good too.
This is one drama where the number of episodes didn't matter and I would have liked this one to go on and on. Kudos to the team.
