Wat is er aan de hand met secretaresse Kim? (2018)

These two may first seem like an unlikely Recommendation but I found them eerily alike ~
The feeling you get while watching both series is the SAME! Sounds weird but it's true, my Mom felt the same too. Not because Park Min Young is the main lead in both series but because of the MOOD, the direction, the character development, the excitement of what happens next, the sometimes unrealistic scenes, the fluffiness despite the seriousness, the mystery of the character's past, and so much more. The feeling you will get as a viewer is the same.
I even cross-checked to see if the directors or writers were the same or not because I was constantly remembering WWWSK while watching Healer.

Both are a romantic comedy about an arrogant boss in denial of his feelings for his worker. Both have these bosses face the reality of her wanting to have a life and to date other men and both have a childhood connection between the ML and FL.

Both MLs are highly placed chaebol heirs sharing the a kidnapping incident at a young age. Both have nightmares about that incident even as adults and have very hard time letting go.The FLs of both dramas were also part of their traumatic childhood experience.

• The female lead is hardworking, bubbly and innocent
• Both dramas are quite lighthearted with serious moments

- cold and rich male lead in both dramas
- romantic comedy for both dramas
- cute chemistry in both dramas
- male leads has a hard time believing love but in the end they fell in love with the female lead
- both female lead has a humble beginnings and tries to sustain themselves on their own
- misunderstandings guide the plot for both dramas

the male lead in it is cold. Its a office romance drama. Its a drama based on boss and employ relationship. The ML is in is rich.

these are similar points in why secretary kim / Radio Romance :
comedy romance dramas
cheesy and comforting in a good way. Simple and cute
smart and hard worker FL
office work /entertainment work
ML is boss - FL is secretary / FL is beginner writer - ML is idol actor
childhood trauma / childhood friends
arrogant ML / kind of :) (popular and cold and proud ML)

ML chase FL first

There are so many common features on the two TV shows:

2. Make you fall in love
3. There is no bad guy but just relaxing
4. Feel good and laughing
5. Fate
6. Both male leads have trauma in the past
7. Family and friendship
8. Stories of second leads are also sweet
9. Man leads are very charming
10. Super expensive sport cars (haha)

There are also some minor differences:

1. The storylines of Secretary Kim are much simpler than Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha's.
2. One is in the big city and the other is in a small seaside village.
3. One is with the finance magnate and the other is not.
4. One may make you laugh and cry and the other will only make you laugh.

Same vibe , cold boss that falls in love with his employee,i would say that "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim?" Is better but i enjoyed both shows .

Bosses are similar tough female lead unrequited love the Boss does not know how to Express his feelings at first gets better along the way

also about a difficult and arrogant boss who is in love with his secretary who he has been working with for years.
also both FL are strong independent career women who are the only people who can handle their bosses and sometimes even order them around a little XD

I think a few scenes draw parallels to WWWSK,
like the leads being associated with each other for so long, FL saving up her earnings to go on a big holiday, ML behaving in a similar fashion & SML being a jerk etc.,

Both hilarious romantic comedies involving main characters with shared childhood traumas. Both couples don't initially know that that they had met when they were younger much less shared life changing moments with each other. Both great romances though WWWSK is much more mature and 30b17 more innocent due to the characters' emotional ages.

very different stories and vibes, but both are romcoms that are somewhat cliche but fortunately very well executed.

But the story Sure gives the same vibe of Romance
