Bad copy of bad originals
You can clearly see the American influence in this production and to be honest it doesn’t sit well. This is the Korean version of CSI/NCIS and it has all the same weaknesses as the originals. Instead of the more usual focus on the machinations of internal politics, the slow unfolding of a crime, the in-depth character interactions (imo the strengths of Korean crime dramas), we have a series of crimes dealt with in one or two episodes and some two dimensional characters whose personalities have been clearly modelled on the American versions. Everything skims along the surface, with no depth and no character deviation or development.Crimes are solved in superficial and ridiculous ways in double quick-time and there’s a load of spurious criminal psychology. The convenient plot devices stack up and all credibility is trampled. The young female prosecutor seems to have inordinate amounts of time to hang around watching autopsies and never has to do anything boring like sit at her desk and work. She has a penchant for doing stupid things that get her into life-threatening situations from which she always miraculously escapes. Horrendous experiences abound with zero effect on characters who bounce back to what they were in as much time as it takes to run to the next scene. And just to increase the air of unreality, the director requires the actors to really ham it up…
If you like the style of CSI then you’ll probably like this. Personally I think it’s a really bad imitation of a bad American original.
What my rating means: 1 - 3+ Totally unbearable, but often compulsively watchable as you really can’t believe that it can be this bad.

dr. baek beom
how can I love this drama so much, oh my god. the best drama I have encountered in my entire life, everything is perfect in this drama. The mix between forensic doctors, prosecutors, detectives and police as well as psychopaths was truly beyond my expectations. very good and very interesting, I can re-watch this drama many times. You all have to watch it, I guarantee you won't regret it. from seasons 1 and 2 everything is very good and perfect. I really like the role of Dr. baek beom, he is very firm and agile. and very intelligent. I always want to watch this dramaVond je deze recentie nuttig?
Justice of The Dead
The drama had a good mix of cases and personal attachments which helped raising the tension and to have higher stakes. Most of the cases were interesting and entertaining. On the other hand, season 2 cases had less personal attachments other than 2 incidents, one around the middle and another for the last case. Stella existence was problematic to the drama, both the character and the actress. She was out of place and her scenes were insufferable since her introduction. She was added to the drama as a fun and quirky element but that backfired immediately. Sally was her replacement in season 2, the drama attempted to replicate Stella but ended creating a worse version which made her scenes even more insufferable. I can't stress enough how insufferable both of these characters were. Season 2 had another unsuccessful addition, that is the character Do Ji Han, his character took away from the drama rather than adding or enhancing any value. Judging by what they did with season 2, It's preferable to not get another sequel. Unfortunately, they left a lot of threads open for a possible continuation. On an unrelated note, the corpses in season 2 had more censoring than season 1.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Frankly speaking
This drama had so much potential, so much but it was wasted. Firstly, the FL was borderline annoying, almost dropped it because of her, I've seen female characters act annoying but hers got on my nerves.Secondly, the male procecutor should know the difference between acting and shouting. His performance in this drama was really not impressive at all, just a character with anger issues .
Thirdly, some parts in the drama was so cringe i had to skip, typical Korea plot where you could already predict what happens next.
Lastly, i love the fact that it was focused on nfs, but the way they went about the whole thing was catastrophic.

FL almost ruined everything
If I'm rating based on Baek Beom alone, this drama would be 11/10!Granted, he can be harsh but there's a backstory to it, which is already mentioned in synopsis, duh! Plus, his comment makes sense, despite the tone being harsh
Now, the 2nd FL is a typical spoilt princess trying to prove herself. Wearing high heels to crime scene, touch body without gloves and then upset just because she is told off. Hello?! Even I, a non-prosecutor know you shouldn't do all this, and you, don't know? What have you been doing in law school? What's worse is she often go around shouting and screaming and throwing her tantrum at Baek Beom, like hello?! Oh gosh.
The saving grace is at least she is smart and is useful at times (not always, btw) and she does get better, holy cow. There are more than once I almost dropped the show ebcause of her. I've been staying because of Baek beom and the storyline, as I love forensic + prosecutor +detective combined!
The other male prosecutor is another annoying one. He has been having confirmation bias since day 1 and dares to call himself prosecutor. But, thanks God he quit and realized his mistakes
Towards the end, the two main annoying characters get better, hence making me wanna watch S2, otherwise I seriously can't stand more of them lol
Plus, the addition of the new prosecutor is a bonus. This is what i'm talking about. Someone who is fierce, bold, daring, but realistic, reasonable and cool, all at same time. No princess tantrum or prince tantrum for that matter
At first, I wish the ML is hotter, but then I grew to like Baek Beom character more and more, so all is well LOL

Show's first half struggles to be meaningful but gears click into place afterwards
This show is definitely worth seeing, especially its second season. But I can't ignore the issues the first half had. There was some poorly thought out character drama and interactions that just did not make sense. It felt like they were lowering the intelligence of the prosecution in order to prop up how good the forensic people were. The series operates on a multi-case level, where a case can take 2-3 episodes to resolve. But through this, the first few cases are super forensic reliant, where it felt like the mystery wasn't be solved by the detectives and prosecution but just by the forensic department. All that changes though once the character drama and ongoing mystery about our main characters is resolved. This leads the show to bring in someone new and that really kicks up the show into a different gear. From there, the show becomes more about the mysteries themselves, and showcases some really great cases with good tension. Some of the characters stop acting so dumb and it feels more like a collaboration between all investigative parties. The show gets better in its last 6 episodes and it leads into a fantastic season 2 so I recommend going through this season. Some of you may even like the early episodes but the show evolves once a certain point is reached.

Lessons on Don't Write Novels
The image of ordinary people about autopsy makes corpses 'deel duwel', becomes enlightened after watching the Korean drama: Partners for Justice. Before performing the autopsy, the doctor and his assistant will pray. Then, while the doctor is doing the autopsy, the assistants will take careful notes and take pictures of the body. After the autopsy was completed, the body was neatly stitched back together, before being sent for burial/cremation.
The Korean drama: Partners for Justice makes the audience amazed at how much science can benefit if it is used optimally. Especially when side by side with other sciences.
Writer-nim intelligently described it with a meeting of 2 groups, namely the National Forensic Agency (BFN) group and the prosecutor/police group. They exchanged drinks saying: “Long live science! Long live the law!
Hey, cool huh?
Korean Drama: Partners for Justice is really cool, so you don't get bored watching it for the 3rd time. Compared to its sequel, Korean drama: Partners for Justice tells the story of many cases that are solved surprisingly, then Korean drama: Partners for Justice Season 2 tends to be more fixated on the case of doctor Jang Cheol who has a heartbreaking story.
And the story of Oh Man-Sang who died in season 1, apparently managed to outwit investigators. With the help of doctor Jang Cheol who transplanted DNA into the bone marrow of a victimized unknown person, everyone thought Oh Man-Sang was dead.
Is that really possible? There's news here. Of course, it wasn't criminal, it happened accidentally. Maybe the story inspired the writer-nim when making the scenario for the Korean drama: Partners for Justice.
Imagination may be wild, but writer-nim cleverly always relates each case to the principles of the pioneer of forensic science who later became known as Sherlock Holmes from Lyon, France, namely:
Every contact leaves a trace (Locard Principle)
In addition to disassembling science, there are 3 love stories in Korean drama: Partners for Justice, namely: Prosecutor Kang Hyun who secretly loves Prosecutor Eun Sol, doctor Baek Beom with his old love story, and detective story Cha Soo-Ho who has a heavy crush on an expert. poison, Stella Wang.
It's also a heart-wrenching story about a parent who regrets pushing his child to excel and ignoring his child's need for warm, loving attitudes.
Butttt...... it's forbidden to watch while eating, right? I'm afraid that I will feel sick to see Baek Beom's doctor scraping the corpse. ??

Twists and turns
The character of Eun-sol is in turn likeable and incredibly infuriating, for the first few episodes, but as she gains both experience and confidence, her over eagerness and assumptions that she must be right, lessen greatly.Baek-beom's nickname of Grumpy Beom is an understatement and it's hard to believe anyone could get away with some of the stuff he does. Again though, as the story progresses and we learn more about his past, which is gradually uncovered for him too, he begins to very slowly come out of himself.
The forensic post mortems are quite graphic, even though blurred out, and there are some quite gross scenes. The crimes include abuse and rape, so could be a trigger for some (hence the "18' rating I imagine).
Surrounding characters are varied. Some deep, others arrogant and also a wonderfully light hearted police officer, Cha Soo-ho. A couple, though, are incredibly annoying, one from being so thick and negative (if he applied himself half as much to caring about his work as he does to eating, he'd be better than everyone at the lab), to another constanty speaking in English, which I found ridiculous.
The crimes and criminals overlap, lacing together to form a pretty good and intricate plot. Things are not always as they seem and there are some surprises.
The strange working relationship that forms between Eun-sol and Baek-beom is very amusing at times and it's her tenacity and quite thick skin that seem to appeal to him.
There is a lot of shouting and screaming at times (too much on occasion), but also some moving and distressing story lines.
Series 1 leaves us at a bit of a cliff hanger and I'm invested enough to head straight for series 2....

Plot:
Like other investigation dramas, this one too had simultaneous cases popping up which the forensic and the prosecutor team needed to solve. All the cases were intriguing and believable. Each scene is so detailed and beautifully executed that you won't be confused about how the team reached that conclusion. The end of episode cliffhanger will force you, to watch the episodes, one after another. It totally comes under the binge-worthy category.
Acting: Everyone is just so perfect. The entire team in the show is so dedicated to their work that they lack personal time but you won't see them complaining. I am not telling it is correct but I loved to see the passion they all had for their profession. All of them displayed a hardworking and ever learning personality. Jae young was awesome as a rude and rough forensic expert, Baek Boom. Stella Hwang brought just the right amount of humour on the show. Her lines were always in context with the tests she conducted but the way in which she revealed her findings is funny but attractive.
Production: I loved the forensic experiments that were conducted in the show. Each step was so detailed. It was actually the first time, I saw how postmortem is conducted. What tools are used. Usually other shows already show the bodies , opened at their injured part or where they have to checked. But this show was as honest as it could be with the profession of forensics and the audience supporting it.
Must watch the show one time. Majority of you won't opt for a re-watch because being a investigative drama, it will lose its appeal of suspense.
