I just personally love The Untamed. Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan did an excellent job at expressing what the characters feel in the novel without any intimacy and still working in line with the rules and regulations of China T.V. If you're here to just chill, listen to beautiful music, watch actors slay their jobs and see a beautiful relationship grow and blossom, The Untamed hits all of these points. Oh boy, buckle up and pay attention
Better yet, read the novel and watch the anime before this otherwise you'll make one of the many Jiang Cheng faces for 10 to 15 episodes (you'll know what I mean soon or just google it lol) - i.e. the plot is complicated af, you're thrown in at present day, switch to past, everyone has 3 names ... but when WWX and LWj call each other by their first ones you'll die of dokidoki every. single. time. Aaaahhhhh! It's so good.So, what's bad about this? Let me tell you, it will ruin you. It'll ruin every other Wuxia and Xianxia for you. It'll ruin you for any other BL couple. Every other production will look cheap and heartless, every other music will seem insignificant after Wuji and you will forever stalk social media for Yizhan content. It's bad.
This has 50 eps and you'll wish it were 500. I'm serious!
Don't watch this if you're only starting out in the genre. Mark my words, people.

I always ended up in despair. You must watch the audio drama. Everything is there including the kissing part lmao. And you know. Everything is there, you gotta watch this, it is not a drama where there is a video, but you gotta listen to it. It will cure your hunger. one of the best dramas out there
i finished watching the untamed three days ago but i still think about it, this drama genuinely takes your heart. It absolutely became one of my favorite dramas: the storyline, the acting, the ost are all amazing. I don't understand people who complain about the lack of kisses scenes or something like this, this drama doesn't need kisses scenes because just the way !! wei ying and lan wangji stare at each other !! make you understand that they LOVE one another !! their dialogues are also so beautiful.. wwx & lwj's relationship is so deep and rare and i loved them so freaking much. i absolutely recommend to watch the untamed because it's worth it!Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

ONE OF A KIND HISTORICAL CDRAMA!
This was my first historical chinese drama and makes me satisfied! I've been watched it 3 times i dont care whether it has 50 episodes.What an awesome story, actors, writers ?

Untuk alurnya maju mundur gitu, biar penonton ga bingung awalny gimana dan penggunaan nama yang ga lazim di Indonesia digunakan di drama ini, jadi penonton dibawa pelan" untuk mengerti kultur chinese jadul wkwkwk. Tapi mudah dicerna kok tenang saja,bahkan untuk yang tidak baca novel/nonton donghuany juga mudah untuk dimengerti
Untuk castnya dapet banget sih kataku. Xiao zhan dan Wang YiBo dapet banget chemistrynya antara WWX dan LWJ, karena itulah point pentingnya di drama ini. Tanpa salah satu, bland rasanya drama ini hehehe. Tenang jangan panas dulu, mereka keep it bromance kok(meskipun saya inginnya bro-nya dihilangkan saja hehehe. Jadi cuman romance #plakk). Supporting characternya jg oke,dapetlah feelnya. SHIJIEEEE~????????????. Kostumnya juga oke, meskipun ekspetasi saya lebih wah sih karena terpatok kostum empress ki lol.
Musiknya juga bagus banget, pas jleb di hati. Enak didenger juga buat sehari-hari hehehe. Kreatif banget sih ini. Saya aja ga kepikiran bakal jleb. Oh, dan msg" karakter punya ost-nya sendiri. Actornya wwx dan lwj bahkan menyanyikan ost mereka dan ada berduet jg hehee. Untuk saya pribadi saya suka soundtracknya Yi City sih. Ngena banget
Untuk rewatch atau engga-nya, maybe saat saya gabut dan bosan gada tontonan, atau stress hahaha. karena lumayan 50 episode itu banyak, meskipun tidak sebanyak drama wuxia yang lain yg bisa sampai 100-200 episode, capek saya nontonnya keburu bosan hahaha.
OVERALL, INI DRAMA BAGUS. Mengajarkan si dunia ini gada yang namanya hitam/putih. Moralnya dapet banget. Story bagus, casting mantap pas banget, musik mantap dan rewatch? Yes of course sampai saya bosen dan kalo ada waktu. Xiao zhan~????

The best drama i ever watched in my life. I never liked bl things and had no interest. But i should say the untamed is on another level of love. And actors are.. Well i don't know what should I say about their acting. Bravo!!! I can't get enough of it. It's such a pure love. This one changed my mind about cdramas. Highly recommend for any one any age and any gender. This will change your whole mind. Doesn't matter if you are hate bl things. Just watch it. You will never ever regret. Such a masterpiece. Magic, Swords, Friendships and Soulmates
So normally, I am a person who only likes romantic kind of dramas because I like seeing relationships develop, so I was apprehensive about watching The Untamed because I knew that they would be "soul mates" but we wouldn't see anything because of Chinese BL censorship. HOWEVER, PLEASE WATCH THIS EVEN IF YOU WANT TO SEE IT ALL OF THAT. There is more built into their relationship than in most romantic dramas I have ever watched. I swear to God there's something about a bromance that turns into love that is the sweetest thing ever. The eye staring, the cute bickering, them saving each other, etc. It really doesn't feel like there was much missing between the two of them and you can tell they actually are gay which is the best part. It's a wonderful story, and if you like wuxia, magic, swords, friendships, a strong gay bond then this is the show for you. This story isn't just about them, and I love how every other character played into their relationship as well. If you still are unsure, I suggest watching a funny gay complication of their moments on YouTube, that's what made me more inclined to watch it and my life is different because of it! Aí gente o que dizer dessa série que me fez abandonar tudo e ficar uma semana colada no celular maratonando... Eu conheci ela por indicações no twitter e fui assistir sem esperar muita coisa, mas ela é tão boa que eu nunca consegui superar. Já assisti todas as outras versões, agora comprei o livro físico e estou reassistindo pra ver pequenos detalhes que podem ter passados despercebidos.Os wangxian são lindos, lutam por seus ideias e demonstram o amor que sentem um pelo outro mesmo com a censura, nos pequenos detalhes.
Super indico, amo demais. Sem contar no Yibo lindíssimo de Wangji, uma atorzão desses mano, que talento.

Xiao Zhan did so well as Wei Ying. The character development from beginning to end got me sobbing like a child. Wang Yibo did well on his part as a stone face. I've seen Xiao Zhan in Oh my Emperor and I did drop that drama though he did catch my eye. So I decided to give The Untamed a chance and it did not disappoint! This was the first I've ever been exposed to him and I'm so thankful for this production to have casted him. Overall I think all the cast did a great job to play their roles. The music was superb! I have listened to it non-stop.
Now I'm binging Mo Dao Zu Shi, the donghua version on YouTube and reading some comics on Wecomics. Still doesn't fill my void of missing the original cast. Currently waiting and waiting for Sean and Yibo's new dramas to air. <3

Did not disappoint
It's not officially adapted as a BL because of censorship so I will not judge it on that (but i totally wish there was a real bl version of this series)This series is so so so much fun! I love the fantasy/historical aspect of this series. The mythology and sword fighting was very cool. I do have to say that i found it hard to stay focused times and I have dropped it many times before picking it up again after a month or so, but that's alright because this series has 50 EPISODES EACH OF 40 MINUTES LONG!!!! WHEW.
I think my second longest drama series i watched was extraordinary you (32 episodes). so. i was seated.
I also loved the ensemble cast of the younger generation from i believe episode 45 onward (Lan sizhui, etc. i forgot their names).
i dont have much to say that others havent already said, so go watch it! it's great!!!
