With Old Wang's and Li Gan's help, Huo and Chen are able to fight through the men by the time the prison ward's men arrive. Huo and Chen are placed in solitary confinement, where they learn more about each other. Chen admits that he admires Huo Tian Hong, the leader of Shanghai's Qing gang and, unbeknownst to him, Huo's estranged father. Lin Ru Min goes after Huo and Chen's friends, killing Da Feng and Bean.
