Out of All of the Dramas I’ve Seen, This is My First Review
There’s so much to say about the drama Find Yourself that I almost don’t know where to start. Actually in the beginning, I didn’t have any intention of watching this drama at all. I didn’t like watching dramas about older women/younger men, but they completely won me over. I guess I was the target audience lol. The only reason I ended up watching this after having it marked “not interested” for two years is that because of Song Weilong, I put it on in the background while doing homework and got drawn in almost immediately. So I started it to seriously watch it soon after.Now, onto the review. I constantly found myself laughing at all of the funny and awkward situations. I loved each character because they each had their own motivations and different path to finding themselves. I like how this drama deals with societal expectations, but also shows the viewpoint of her parents. I love how close He Fanxing and He Canyang are and they’re entire family is very heartwarming. There are also important life lessons that I’ve learned from this drama.
The beginning of the drama is probably more fun, it gets a bit more depressing later on but it ends nicely. I really, really, miss this drama. It’s one of the only dramas that I’ve seen that I feel I won’t be able to get over for a while (the other two being Someday or One Day and The Untamed). I don’t want to watch other dramas now, I really miss watching this.

Almost had it
The first episode was awful at engaging the viewer. I had to force myself into continuing because I am a fan of Victoria's. The drama was just okay but it completely falls apart when you realize the male and female lead have no chemistry!!! It felt like a waste of time because I didn't believe they loved each other (nor did the female lead ever state explicitly why she loved the ml). Victoria had better chemistry with the 2nd male lead and that part was the most interesting. Song Weilong was pretty good and I am a fan of his now. I enjoyed the supporting cast and wanted to see their stories more.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

I started this drama because of Victoria but definitely stayed for Song Wei Long. Victoria's character is really irritating in my opinion. HFX started off this strong and beautiful woman and just became somewhat of an indecisive mess. Don't get me wrong, I completely understand that the drama is about her learning to overcome these insecurities and fight for her love but the effort is kind of laking. HFX is definitely in love with YS but at the same time has little problem playing along with YLM. But more than HFX, I find YLM to be worse consider his character is really manipulative when you consider what he's doing. He stayed by HFX as a friend with alternative intentions, and while he does seem to have genuine feelings for HFX, I honestly just find this man a little creepy. YS deserved better! though HFX does make it up to him at the end so its all good.I think this drama starts off amazing and is worth a try overall!

Eu iniciei o drama justamente pela sinopse pois trataria de um romance entre uma mulher mais velha e um homem mais novo, acho importante que esses dramas tenham visibilidade, pois foge um pouco do padrão do homem sendo o mais velho. Enfim, gostei muito de como o romance começou, ela descobrindo novos sentimentos que nunca antes havia sentido, porém a insegurança e o medo dela do que as pessoas iriam pensar me incomodou bastante, pois percebe-se que ela tratava o romance deles como algo passageiro, e fora algumas atitudes super adolescente dela, que me irritavam demais. Como ela começar a namorar o amigo logo após o término sendo que nem dele ela gostava e não percebeu tudo o que ele fez para afasta-la do yan song, forçou essa merda de relacionamento só pra perder tempo e iludir os pais e a ela mesma e ferindo os sentimentos de ambos, ela deveria ter o tempo de ficar sozinha e "se encontrar" para então entra em um novo relacionamento. Small Disappointments Add Up
I am having to take a significant pause in watching the rest of this series for several reasons:1. Stop petting her head: given the age/status difference, this seems wildly inappropriate even if meant affectionately. It minimizes her and what she is saying and never seems to really fit the scene.
2. Epic/profound fail on the Bechdel test: So far, 15 episodes in, there has not been one single conversation between women that is not about men -- getting one, keeping one, separating from one, marrying one -- they don't talk about work, family, pets, hobbies, dreams, hopes, or anything else without the overriding theme of "get man". Revolting.
3. Not by any stretch of the imagination, not even in remote, small villages, is any 32 year old woman that naive, oblivious, and unable to make logical inferences and sensible conclusions; this is like watching fruit rot -- it just gets worse and worse. If she's that stupid, she's certainly too stupid to earn a living, so doing this to a woman who is a senior administrator is beyond ridiculous and highly insulting. Let alone that it ignores the endless series of conversations about men, which in and of themselves would have given her a great deal of information.
4. Slapstick bits and hammy acting don't help: it's not frequent in most cases, but it is jarring and does not serve to advance the story.
5. College girls behaving like elementary school children with their dumb pranks, theatrics for attention, and outright doofy clothing in many instances.
That's it. If I can finish the series, I will because there some elements in other people's reviews that make me think it gets better.

I don't have enough words to say how great that show is!!!No soapy crap clichés, but laughter!
David Wang plays so well his role you are just observing him as the sneaky one. He's really the right actor for that!!! I so enjoy watching him!
Victoria Song plays sooo well too with her manners and faces, it's a delight!
Yu shu Xin is annoying as the spoiled brat and she plays soo well too!!! Oh when she eats it's so funny!! I hope she didn't have to repeat the scenes otherwise she'd be super fat!! ha ha ha!
The story is all about ooops and hugh sequences and I love every single one of them!
Of course, there's love, we know how it'll end too but there are many surprises as we go into the episodes!
I cannot say anything bad about this show and wish we had many more like this one.

He Fanxing is figuring out what she wants from life and relationships - to be true to herself or societal/community approval. But, once it appeared all 40+ episodes would be He Fanxing stumbling around unsure, I considered dropping the show . . .
Positives: When He Fanxing and Yuan Song (young love interest) shared a screen there is great energy, and you could see why they are drawn to each other. There is surprisingly little screen time devoted to Yuan Song, and there's a lot more that could be done with the character. . .
Negatives: Ye Luming (older love interest) has 'red flags' written all over him from the start. He lies, stalks her, ingrates himself with her parents, is very physical and grabby, and uses all the pressure in the world. This is excused as just being an alpha/domineering CEO, but his hostility toward women that cry and fantasising/dreaming about stabbing them was a bridge too far. Once I realized he was staying on through the show, I stopped wanting to watch . . .

The beginning of the drama did provide some interesting dynamics as we learn He Fanxing has never had a boyfriend despite being passed the "marriage age" for women in China. I do like that she is an mature woman who has a great job. We are introduced to the first male lead Yuan Song who is 10 years her junior and while he is handsome, he is immature and always being late to work as an intern at Fanxing's workplace. Anyway, the story practically forces them into a relationship rather than gradually moving along. He Fanxing goes on a blind date with another guy Ye Limung only to tell him she likes someone else (Yuan Song). However Limung still really likes her and is always doting on her throughout. What I've noticed is that Fanxing is truly having fun and being herself when she is with Limung and always seems so tepid and stupid when with Yuan Song. Yuan Song is such a jerk in this drama I can't stand it, he will get mad at Fanxing for doing the same things that he does then manipulates her into thinking she's the bad guy! I absolutely do not understand why I should be rooting for this guy... I have not finished the show but i really don't see a reason to if she's just gonna end up with this young guy who has no money, constantly compares fanxing to his mother, still accepts gifts from his ex girlfriend and has no consideration for the main character. The second male lead is a far better choice in my opinion and I wish it would go that way. Limung has always been there for Fanxing and it's ridiculous if she chooses this loser young guy who doesn't even respect her enough to keep their relationship private. He seems like just a player to me, but oh well. Watch it if you like, there are some really funny and charming moments but none of those are with the first male lead. Also the side characters: Fanxing's family and two friend's are cool, the designer guy is cool, the girls in the office are okay, Limung's niece is dumb and annoying. Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Siento que es un drama dividido en 2 mitades, la primer mitad esta en el principio de relación de la pareja principal donde podemos ver el desarrollo de los personajes y nos podemos hacer una idea (xq tampoco nos demuestran mucho de ellos al principio) de como es su contexto en cuanto a su perspectiva y como se conectan con los otros personajes. En lo personal esta es la mitad que mas amo de la pareja principal, aunque se empieza a generar un poco de odio por la forma de ser de he fanxing y es un odio que ella se termina ganando de buena gana, también se aprecia la mitad inmadura de yuan song. Esta mitad casi que no tiene algo mas interesante que el desarrollo de la pareja principal pero bueno la historia avanza y termino en el rompimiento de la pareja ( personalmente la culpa recae en las dos partes, no una mas que las otras).La segunda mitad me parece por lejos la parte mas interesante del drama porque se abandona un poco la atención en la pareja principal pero sin dejar de ir desarrollando sus personajes, en esta parte se termina de consolidar el odio hacia he fanxing y como dije ella se lo gana porque la historia como ella y sus amigas la justifican con que ella no tiene la madures en las relaciones y por eso todo se termino con yuan song pero acá se confunden todos con la "madures en relaciones" con la falta de empatía, nada tiene que ver que ella nunca haya tenido relaciones a el sin fin de horribles decisiones que fue tomando desde el principio y que las amigas fácilmente le resumieron en una línea "estas lastimando a los tres" (refiriéndose a ella, yuan song y el señor ye).
Pero sin duda lo mas interesante de esta mitad es el desarrollo de todas las parejas secundarias y la que mas me robo el corazón y la que creo la mejor pareja de todo el drama es cong xiao y chang huan, ellos son hermosos y ame todo lo relacionado a ellos como su triangulo amoroso, su crecimiento y al fin su desenlace ♥ la verdad me hubiera gustado ver mas de ellos. Otra pareja q me resulto linda es la de he can yang y cai min min aunque creo q esto es mas por su química al actuar que por la pareja en si.
Por ultimo quiero mencionar el personaje mas detestable de todos que me pareció horrendo y creo que se va a pasar por alto y esta es una de las mejores amigas de he fanxing, song xue. es obvio que no puedo mantenerme objetivo en este punto pero creo que alguien puede tener la misma opinión. Ella todo el drama muestra un personaje moderno y ajeno a los prejuicios como otras cosas toxicas de la generación anterior que se observan en los dramas pero en realidad es igual o peor que ellos y de lo único de lo que soy feliz es que no la hayan metido a la fuerza entre he can yang y cai min min pero personalmente odie su personaje.
