I really like the story it's a new story as all the kdrams are getting boring now there is something new in this drama.And you will find a moral in the end if you can understand it.Also there are many love stories and all of them ended well.Overall it was tge roller coaster of emotions and i really enjoyed watching it. We need more kdrams like this. Because world need a good massage rather than a cruel endings that we can see now mostly in Kdramas.and the cast we so perfectly choose i like it so much.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Waiting for HARU to show up was my most intense patient time...lmao.. it took him a while to show up in this drama(not gonna say when but,...) it was worth it. After episode 21...I began to lose interest...but still finished as I need to, to move on haha. I skipped a lot as some were very slow and repetitive and ..yuh/
I was planning to watch this last year due to high-recommendation but my expectation is kinda low for this drama..but I will give it a good 5-6 star as it was a unique story.
Idk what else to say but if you are looking for something slow, but witted and high school romance, I would give this a go.
It was a fun drama and I am happy I finished it with a good life lesson: Enjoy life, be grateful for what you got and move on.

Surprising Jewel
It's a drama that I did not expect I would enjoy at first. I don't have high expectations but i enioyed it very much. The story is creative and the characters especially Dan Oh has a 'character' that makes her unforgettable among the numerous dramas I watched. The chemistry with the leading men is great. It was my first time watching the three main leads, the actors for Dan Oh, Haru and Baekyung, and I liked all of them. You will laugh and your heart will flutter. You will also get intrigued. This is a fantasy drama that i loved so much. At the start i really didnt like it so what i did was, i skipped to episode 23 and noticed something very important (i don't want to spoil anything) so i went back and waatched it from where i left of. It was such and amazing expirience and a surprising heart warming ending i absolutely loved ♡♡♡♡♡♡This is the K-Drama i always reccomend to everyone and of they tell me they have already watched it i just tell them to rewatch it because of how good it is ♡♡

I like the story basis, everyone knows the second lead is whatever, no one cares about them, this is actually a storyline that’s been really popular lately so I was all for it, but as I watched it more and more (because the second lead in the WEBTOON was trying to be a main lead) it was making me anxious. And I had major second lead syndrome with her “fiancée” and also the best friend in love with the main girl and etc. Everything was all good, in the beginning everything is unraveling and you’re literally into it because you want to know more, like who is who and why everything is happening and all that, but why I wouldn’t say this is a 10/10 show is because it fell short. You’re left with no answer, everything falls short and honestly that’s that. Your curiosity never ends. Also it just made me feel horrible that she was changing the story because even though that’s how it was meant to be, well it’s the whole show, I was like darn it just keep it the same!!! The twist and crooks and crannies and different stories, it was just all a lot really.
The acting was A1, you had a group of pretty decent, kind of new to the industry actors and actresses, they all really did great and I’m excited to see how they’re going to grow more, like they’ve been in things but they could be in more, ya know? They really did shine though. But I hated the complication and story changing because it really kind of killed the romance in a way.
I barely heard anything from the OST and that usually pops to me so I’m kind of disappointed by that.
Anyway, would I rewatch it? I honestly probably wouldn’t unless I was really bored, it was definitely a 1 hit wonder for me and I don’t think I’d find more information going back to watch it.

I really really love this drama. It's one of those top tiers puppy love dramas. The plotline was interesting and the cast was good. It actually devastates me whenever Rowoon disappears despite watching the drama multiple times. The male main character was slowly introduced around ep 3?? and I really liked that. Hyeyoon's acting is top-notch, her energetic and outgoing character was prominent and makes me think whether she is like that in real life. I have always been Rowoon x Hyeyoon couple. I never really thought that Jaewook was a better match than Rowoon.Tbh I didn't really like skz's ost, too much autotune sounded off.
I would rewatch this once in a while if I yearn for some love dramas hahaha.

overall i really loved this drama. the story is very original and the potential it had was insane, however i think in the second half it became a bit repetitive and the rhythm slowed a bit, i was more curios about the secondary characters other than the main protagonists, and i think they could focus a lot more on the background stories that were very interesting, i would loved to learn more about them.i enjoyed it a lot!! and i had a lot of fun but i would not rewatch it.
one thing i want to say, or better two things, rowoon was amazing and the osts for these drama are absolutely beautiful!!

comecei esse kdrama na intenção de relaxar após sofrer horrores vendo sky castle e funcionou, não eh um dos melhores dramas do mundo mas pelo menos pra mim deu pra assistir tudo, confesso que me cansei um pouco, em alguns episódios só queria fingir que vi pq não aguentava maissobre os personagens: alguns eram legais, já outros eu queria sair no soco
a hyeyoon como sempre atuou muito bem, gostei muito do personagem dela,
o rowoon parecia um robô vei kk, assisti ele em where stars land e não lembrava da atuação ser desse jeito (talvez pq ele não tinha sido o personagem principal)
o gunjoo já eh o meu nenezinho, eu AMEI ele e o personagem dele, merecia MUITO MAIS, além de lindo eh gentil e engraçado, esmurrando todos os outros personagens
gosto muito do jaewook mas nesse dorama só queria sentar com ele e dizer: meu filho PARE!
confesso que esperava que a jooda e o namjoo não ficassem juntos por tudo que ele fez com ela e que ela odiasse ele fora do palco mas nee...
enfim, pode ser legal pra quem gosta de drama mais bobinho etc

This drama is by no means perfect and does have some plot holes but in terms of the overall drama, it is just so entertaining to watch, and is just the an overall good light-hearted rom-com drama in my opinion. I also absolutely fell in love with Kim Hye Yoon and her acting in this drama. Her character is the exact opposite of her character in Sky Castle and she plays it to perfection.

Good in the beginning!..tapered off at the end...
I was really happy I found this drama at first. I was looking for something a bit different from the usual and it was a welcomed break for me. Let me start with the things I didn't like.1. I didn't like how long it was. If felt like it was too long and for no reason. It started off great but after a while I kept checking how many episodes were left.
2. Took too much time introducing characters that DID NOT MATTER!! I think this upset me the most. What was the point of Kyung's little brother?
3. Did not give enough time to develop the characters that they did introduce. The Squid guy for example...did anybody really care that his long lost love came back? Not me! Wasn't developed properly.
4. Spent way too much time with the highschool love triangle drama...and there wasn't even a love triangle... the FL always wanted the ML.
5. I did not like that they did not tell the first story properly. I still don't know how, why or when the leads fell in love! Do you?
6. SO many unanswered questions.
7. Was at times confusing.
What I did like:
1. I like Rowoon in this. This is my third drama with him and I actually liked it a lot! This is the first one he wasn't shouting every time he spoke and I actually thought his character had depth and underwent some growth.
2. I actually like the OST.
3. The chemistry was good.
4. The concept was great although poorly executed.
I don't think I will watch again, but it was a good watch that was different from my usual.

When this show is good, it's really good! Eun Dan Oh and Haru's romance is cute and sappy as heck, Dried Squid Fairy and Lee Doh Hwa are great supporting characters, and even Baek Kyung made me feel a lot of feelings. It's also notable that this show manages to balance comedy, romance, and psychological horror at the same time. Everyone's comic book characters and only a few are self aware about what's going on! Haha.... but also, the existential dread is There. I love it.The Trumpet Creeper flashbacks were also pretty good, and they were the best part of some episodes. Extraordinary You lowkey trying to be a historical drama on top of all the rest lols. Have to say the most interesting parts of Trumpet Creeper were Dried Squid Emperor's everything and whatever fucked up relationship was going on between Baek Kyung and Haru (is it just me, or is Baek Kyung's attitude towards past Haru like his attitude towards present Eun Dan Oh? It was weird and good and bad).
However, I still rated this only 7/10 because there are a solid number of episodes in this show that do basically nothing for me, repeating plot points with no progression over and over again. How many episodes are basically Haru saying "We'll change the plot", Baek Kyung saying "Don't change the plot", and Eun Dan Oh waffling while Lee Doh Hwa and Dried Squid Fairy et al play around in the background and no scenes are actually changed, or plot relevant? Too Many, making the second half of the show drag. Still, the last couple episodes have the pacing speed up again, and overall the show is pretty good.

Extraordinary You was the first kdrama I ever saw. I mainly watched it because I'm a kpop Stan and wanted my first kdrama to have someone, an idol, that I know in it. When I saw Rowoon was in it, I decided to give it a try. First off, the score is mesmerizing, absolutely amazing. The OSTs are great as well. I had gotten in VERIVERY before watching Extraordinary You and didn't even realize that My Beauty was already in my playlist when I watched it. Cool coincidence. Along with the score, I thought Extraordinary You had a compelling story. The comic idea was great. Overall, I thought Extraordinary You was a great drama that was well acted, and a great introduction into Kdramas as a whole.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
