After fooling around and things go too far in bed, Terada leaves the bed first thing the next morning and starts cleaning the house to try and get her mind off of things. When Hongyo eventually comes down and learns that she did try to wake him up but he wouldn't wake, which is heard by Hase. This gets Terada embarrassed so she covers her face and plans to get back to cleaning, but before that Hongyo ends up kissing her. So preoccupied with wondering Hongyo's intentions she doesn't realize Hase's plan when he invites her for dinner and realizes she is meeting his mother, which she is under the impression that they intend to marry thanks to Hase's implications on the subject. After the dinner Hase gets to talking and the subject of love comes up which Terada that not only Hase but Hongyo as well have never been in love before which hurts her since they use to date. This starts to make herself feel more and more worthless until Kiritani gives her a pep talk and changes her point of view. This gives her some courage to agree to 'sleep' with Hongyo.
