One of the best Kdramas ever I really loved the acting of the lead actors... Made me cry too... Never watched such a great show in my life.. I feel grateful that I started watching Kdramas... I will suggest everyone to watch this kdrama. The story, the acting, the dialogues by the lead actors and also the acting by the supportive casts was also amazing.Got to know a lot about both the countries North and South Korea. That good people are present in both countries. We should not have hate in our hearts only love and we should always keep the person who we like in our hearts because that's the only to live a happy life.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Everything about this show is perfect to me. The overall story is so very well-rounded and the pace is consistent and exciting to follow. Probably the best K-drama I have seen. It is not what you may expect it to be (that is if you are just expecting it to be about a stuck up rich girl who ends up in a sticky situation).Every single character in the show finds their way into your heart in a way in which many come to feel like family. Especially captain Ri's men, who hold a lot of the heart of the show. The romance is one of epic proportions in all the ways you can imagine. The only downside of this show is that it ends.

Acting of the cast is what I loved the most about this drama specially Son Ye Jin acting.
Love the opening scene. There're a lot of beautiful location shots.Yoon Se Ri is outgoing, outspoken, free-spirited, bold, brave, smart, intelligent. I thought she would be naive and innocent, but it doesn’t mean that naive & innocent girls aren’t intelligent. She is also called Picky Princess. She loves to brag about expensive things that she owns.
Ri Jung Hyuk is smart, reserved, strict, serious, disciplined, and follows rules.
Ri Jung Hyuk doing the same thing that he told Yoon Se Ri not to do.
Yoon Se Ri speech whenever she is nervous or afraid or anxious is so cute, she talks so fast in those sutituation.

Laughed at how Ri Jung Hyuk teammates asked him if he spent the night with Yoon Se Ri.
Poor Park Su Chan his face without sleep is so depressing.
It was cute how Ri Jung Hyuk was sulking when he didn’t receive an award.
Park Kwang Beom expression when Geum Eun Dong said Yoon Se Ri has good taste just because she said he was handsome.
It’s cute to see how Ri Jung Hyuk listened to Yoon Se Ri & started saying good words to the tomato plant.
Loved the scene where Ri Jung Hyuk & Yoon Se Ri jumped from the hill holding each other tightly.

Yoon Se Ri stepmother is nothing like other dramas stepmother. She has resentment towards Yoon Se Ri but she isn’t evil. She cares for her, but what her husband did stopped her from loving Yoon Se Ri.
Pyo Chi Su, Park Kwang Beom, Kim Ju Muk, Geum Eun Dong & Jung Man Bok are so done with our leads always being lovey-dovey in front of them.
Seo Dan & her glaring. Her uncle & mother are always scared of her.
Hating how they ended Goo Seung Jun.

i did not expect it to be so good
normally when going into a hyped and popular kdrama, i don't expect it to be amazing. but this is one of the first dramas i've seen that actually lived up to the hype. there was never a dull moment and it made me cry to the point tears pooled in my earsmy main thing w this drama is the love between captain ri and his subordinates. the brotherly relationship they all have w one another was so heartwarming to me and it made the drama and dynamics so much better. i loved how seri was welcomed into their family with open arms and if anything she made their relationships stronger.
at first when seri is first introduced, she is shown as a little bratty and blunt but she really isnt. we find out she's incredibly hard working and she puts her heart and soul into her career and her employees all love her very much. she's also really smart and has a deep back story that made her who she is.
i really liked how jeonghyeok and seri protected each other in their own ways and how you can see that they truly loved each other whether or not they said it or showed it. i can't even put into words how great this drama was and ALSO the second couple got enough screen time that i was able to become attached to them even tho i didn't like their characters AT FIRST.
just the perfect blend of comedy, drama and romance it was so great

Romance right up my alley
I’ve usually avoided modern day dramas as I prefer the settings and costumes of historical dramas but was hooked on this from the first episode.The story line was unique and I loved being able to glimpse into a likely North Korean rural lifestyle which gives me a better appreciation of what we take for granted everyday like running water inside the home and 24-7 electricity. Being transported to Switzerland every now and then was a feast for the eyes though I found it a little odd that Kit Kat chocolates were highlighted there.
The chemistry between the two leads was strong and it was a realistic romance that blossomed from just feeling right with each other rather than the usual overly dramatical stereotype of strong kind female who does loads of good things which catches the eyes of heroic male lead that saves the female lead. Here, they started having feelings for each other before the male lead started to show his more heroic side.
Love triangle was not overdone and this is much appreciated and I liked the little snippets at the end of each episode which I initially missed as I was quick to jump to the next episode. So do watch until the closing credits.
My heart strings were tugged repeatedly with each goodbye the leads had to go through so it was a welcome break to have some comedic relief from the wives in the military village and Captain Ri’s subordinates.
I enjoyed the story telling style which creates the right amount of suspense and tension as little bits of information in the past are revealed at different times. It was a sweet destiny with many encounters between the leads which although we know is not likely to happen in real life, we are more than willing to escape into this romantic fantasy.

a warmharted love story
what happens when a south korean woman meets a north korean man? there are beautiful landscapes to walk in, red leaves falling from the trees, romantic view on the first snowfall, endless evenings on candle light...Se Ri is a successful south korean woman who gets accidentally blown by the wind to north korea while paragliding. she is discovered by Jung Hyuk, a north korean soldier who decides to hide her and try to send her safely to south korea. that's the plan. but things won't go smoothly.
this is truly one of the best dramas I watched. the story will keep you hooked. the OST is simply enchanting, even now (2 years later) these songs just bring out so many emotions! the cast was so well done that the main actors ended up married the next year. you can actually feel the chemistry between Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin and I feel blessed being able to witness the beginning of their love.
this drama is also a good way to discover how north korean citizens live, how the 2 countries manage their relation, and what south koreans think about north korean's citizens. the show has a pretty good re-watch value which is a good quality sign.
watch this with your lover or your crush, and enjoy having each other's company.
one last thing: you should watch the k-movie "Secretly Greatly" before this drama. not mandatory, but you'll thank me later... enjoy!

What a fun ride
I wasn't too sure when I first started this. I found Seri to be incredibly unlikable in the beginning, and I felt the North Korean characters were very out of character for what I would expect their military officers to act like. But I powered through the first few episodes, and just like everyone else, I managed to fall in love with everyone and was hoping it was going to have the happiest of endings.I've read in other forums that there's some disagreements on if this has a happy ending or not, but I feel like it's the happiest that it could have been given the circumstances. While I stand firm that this isn't a realistic story by any means, I think this is the most realistic ending the characters could have gotten.

Instant Classic
The thing about this drama is that it isn't groundbreaking or revolutionary. It really is a standard Kdrama rom-comedy/drama with more comedy > drama and the reason why I kept putting this off. Despite this, this show is high quality.The show does have tropes and cliches but it uses them to enrich the story, not be the story itself. This is either by playing them straight and expanding upon them or subverting them, all to create more organic content. The humor is excellent with a lot of tongue-in-cheek lamp shading and breaking the fourth wall.
Kudos to the writers for writing two excellent female leads. Most dramas fall into the trap of making the 2nd FL a foil to highlight the first one but these two are actually quite similar. Both are rich, classy and confident with a don't-mess-with-me attitude and it was interesting to see their differences played out through the detailed writing and visual production, although not in a demeaning way. I absolutely loved Yoon Se-ri and admittedly, it personally took me some time to warm up to Seo Dan but very likeable she does become. All of the other characters are also so endearing and even characters that start out mildly irritating (for me, Pyo Chu Si) become lovable by the end.
The good writing comes hand in hand with the amazing acting. The leads, off course, did an amazing job and had stellar chemistry that helped carry the very sweet romance. The rest of the cast did great too. It was so fun hearing the NK accent and I wonder how much the actors had to practice for that. I really liked the actor who played Man Bok, his range from serious to comedic was great.
The visual production, prop, setting was all excellent and really helped with the immersive world-building, especially the NK village setting. It was nice getting to see the different portrayal of NK other than what it always heard on the news. It makes me wonder what Koreans think about the division, especially since there are people that might remember a time before the country was split.
Overall, this show is that it is what Kdramas do best while putting the best effort in. IMO, it is one the modern classics (similar to the same older dramas the show refers to) that will be remembered in years to come.

WARNING: major spoilersThis is a good romantic drama but only if you don’t mind a bit of filler/fluff/slower episodes, which is the reason why it took me awhile to finish this. I know a lot of people like a slower pace which is fine, it’s just a matter of preference. I thought the chemistry between the leads was pretty good despite the repetitiveness of some scenes. They were pretty believable as a couple. The only thing is that once you see them get to the solution where they are finally able to leave North Korea…you might roll your eyes and wonder why they didn’t do this in the first place and why they had to go through much harder routes. Also, the main bad guy was ridiculous at times. The actor did fine, but there was a scene where he is shot several times at close range and still doesn’t die like he’s superhuman or something. When I thought about it, I felt that they should have made his commanding officer the main villain instead since he was just following his orders.
There’s a good bromance between the four soldiers under the ML and also some sismance between the elderly ajummas who befriend the FL. All heartwarming.
I also liked the second FL. I felt sorry for her at first…I normally do not* like this type of love triangle. Actually, I don’t care for love triangles in general but the worst are the ones with two females and a male (usually written by male authors but there are some* exceptions) mostly because I do not like how the female characters are written in these stories…but in here, given that the ML had an arranged marriage with her and this is North Korea we are talking about, I felt that what happened after made sense.
Some might not like the rosy depiction of North Korea, which I understand. I’ve had some conversations with some South Koreans about this, and some of them have expressed wanting to have a peaceful relationship with NK…not sure if this is the reason for how NK is depicted here. But if you want to see a realistic depiction of NK, this is not it.

its incredible!
That's the most incredible kdrama I've ever watched, and I say this with the biggest conviction I have. I cried so much watching, as much I laughed too, it's so soft and warm and make you feel comfortable, but at the same time make you feel so anxious about what would happen. I recommend everyone to watch Crash landing on you! you will not regret I am a 100% sure.I literally cried every single second of the last episode, I must wake up tomorrow with big eyes, but I can say this worth it my tears and my time. I hope that you can enjoy this as much I did and if you don't, that's okay too! you don't have to like or force yourself to enjoy just because a lot of people did. It's normal have some different opinions, so... Don't worry and move on! go watch another drama and make an incredible review that will convince me to watch.

IN 3 YRS OF WATCHING DRAMAS IT’S THE BEST DRAMA I’VE SEEN!!!
I started watching dramas around the same time I got back into K-pop, which I guess at this rate for a foreigner like me, K-pop and K-dramas go together like peanut butter and jelly. BUT, there wasn’t a time I didn’t root for the main leads, I wanted their love to grow, and it did. They are one of the few couples in dramas that I’ve seen where I wanted the two to be together in real life. I shipped them that much, and they are and expecting a BABY!!!!Low-key I wanted all the people she befriended in North Korea to just stay forever with her Master Sargeant Pyo, I swear he never had me not laughing, him and the other soldiers in Jeong-Hyeok’s crew just made me laugh and the other boys were so cute, the play on popular Idol labels and the shock they had when they saw all this electricity, it was amazing. It was like kids exploring the world for the first time.
The family I hated all of them, but the twist shocked me, to go through that much length, and the fact a family did that to each other…. HORRIBLE, but you don’t even need to be rich to have families act like that. Honestly the greatest forbidden romance I’ve seen since Romeo & Juliet, or Jack and Rose in Titanic, the other second leads, I hated them, but I still at the end wanted the best for them.
All in all a GREAT drama. Mischievous Kiss just went from #1 to #2 it’s definitely a rewatch and kept me and my friends on my toes. I commend it.

Interesting portrayal of North Korea
This started out really strong but I almost totally lost interest by the end. One of the most intriguing part of the drama for me was the portrayal of North Korea. It was very nuanced and I learned that one of the screenwriters was a defector. Other than the interesting setting, the strength and appeal of the drama lay in the lighthearted and heartwarming day-to-day life of the main couple while in NK, before it was bogged down by all the other plots. Side character Gu Seung-jun stole the show the minute he showed up. Why did they kill him off ? and in such a lame way lol. I really struggled to like the heroine at first. She is very wealthy and her disdain (played to comedic effect) of the NK citizens' much less affluent lifestyle read too much like classism... It was a bit uncomfortable. With that said, the main couple were really cute and sweet and the hero was very good at doing the intense and wistful stare. Overall, very predictable and cliche, but lighthearted and has some heartwarming moments. Great production values and music and great wardrobe for the cast too.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
