I love love love love love Alice! Been my favorite since the anime came out and then I read the manga, and then when the show was here I was literally BLOWN AWAY. it's deep, well written, no shallow characters, nothing but just an honest, but messed up sincere story. As far as adaptations go this one is literally one of my favorites and I didn't personally like L s character in Death Notes adaptation (I did like Light though, he was different from the anime Light but I like both for different reasons.) Having Kento play Arisu dude just YES. But of course I also have a real soft spot for Machida! And I know everyone is recommending the usual suspects but Usogui is really another adaptation I really enjoyed watching. Another card game arena and Yokohama Ryusei is the perfect pick for the main lead.

both have a similar 'death game' genre. they also have small 'amounts' of lgbt that is revealed near the end. they are also fast-paced and sad at times. jinroh shokei game had potential betrayal, similar to alice in borderland's heart games.

It is another survival game but this one has no set up and is more like "Hunger Games" than an unknown higher power running the show.
