Rei works part-time at a patisserie with apple pies being her forte. Her love and zeal for her work gains the manager's respect and the latter recommends her for a promotion to a full-time employee. In the process of getting all the relevant documents ready for processing at the company's headquarters, she discovers to her shock, that her name is not on the family registry. (Source: Viu)

Great start

I haven't watched a jdrama in what seems like ages. The last one I watched was Asuko March (which Takei Emi was also in) She's a really good actress and it's nice to see her in more dramas, improving.
At the start there were random people but as the series continue, I'm sure they'll make sense.. it's a bit predictable though. The old man is probably her real dad, who came to see her after ages "to see how she's getting on" perhaps? lol The guy who asked her to go to the hospital might be her brother or an admirer. I liked the ending song. :)

Too sad for a first episode...

I usually won't rate single episodes or write a review for them, but since this one is really outstanding, I decided to make an exception.
The acting of the cast and the plot is just awesome. They created the right mood with ease. While in the beginning everything was really happy, the end really crushed my mood. It even made me cry (yes, you may laugh at me now...). The music is nice as well, it reminded me a little of Akai Ito. Surprisingly, the opening theme wasn't Japanese but the song "Set Fire To The Rain" by Adele. One of the few English songs I know and like.
I do regret starting to watch this a little bit since I got the feeling this will be really sad. I hope there will be a Happy Ending...
