Not up to rhe expectations
Even in a real it is not okay to stay with a person because you pity them and think they are lonely. The FL didn't consider sunoh's feelings since the first episode in season 1.
I am not sure this season will be as watched as the first season was.
If you wanted to create a love story, it was better to keep the prince as prince instead of turning him into a frog in season 2.
Personally I didn't like this season and I am never gonna watch it again on my Netflix.
Who evem approved the script? There are so many points that are not clear, she breaks with sunoh with no clear reason.

Unpopular opinion
So, I don't write a lot of reviews, but this drama had way too many negative reviews, I couldn't resist. Now, JoJo and Hye Young pairing, though many may disagree, made much more sense. I will forever be grateful to the writers for making this into one of the rare dramas where the guy steadfastly and patiently in love with girl finally won her over. I loved their relationship, it was much more stable and mature, the kind of relationship that works in the long run.
The scene where the endgame couple said 'I love you' instead of letting the app ring felt much more genuine, after all machines are algorithm-based while our feelings are unpredictable. You cannot imagine the smile on my face and the tears in my eyes I had when this scene happened coz I was so happy for them. I like that how in the end, although JoJo and HyeYoung will never know, we get to see how many times JoJo's heart fluttered for HyeYoung.
Also, Sun Oh's ending line where he doesn't care if he makes the alarm ring but is just going to trust his feelings and keep on pursuing Yuk Jo, really brought through the message this drama wanted to convey.
In the end, it's all about our choices and feelings.
I really hope the negative reviews don't stop you from watching this drama β₯β₯β₯

Far better than season 1
Is it only me who liked this one far better than season 1 ?? The first was a disaster ... The second was Ok , could have developed many other characters too .. Sun Oh fans might be triggered . I liked Song Kang in Sweet Home .. But , this one , I don't even know what his intentions are . He appears so sad, seems like he is an orphan , victim , poor fellow with tragic accident . .. . He has so many who cares for him and it feels like he is the most disappointed one in the world and that too in a fantasy world .I even thought jojo and sun -ho should end up , so that Hye-Young can get someone better . lol .. Fantasy , rom com are all genres i watch , but this show had no basic plot even , no character development , nothing ..The first season was so bad i rated it 5 and did even wanted waste reviewing it .. Also ,didnt want to watch season 2 and when many told its very bad , i thought it would be better .. They could have made it to a single season without Sun ho character and little more time in game development and family issues and school life ..

After watching the first season I was much more excited. What happened in the 2nd season?
Alas! Jo jo was so annoying. My cute little pies.I really want them together. But what can i do?
Besides write the review.π
I really couldn't relate to this story. this is Went over my head.
Whose fault?
Writer's of course.
Looks like his love life didn't work out. My mood is very bad. I will say that no one should watch this drama. It's felt like watching different drama. π·

The only good thing about this is the OST
Review for both seasons !!! This drama managed to contain everything I hate in a love story:- love triangle βοΈ
- two best friends fighting for the girl βοΈ
- asshole guy stealing the girl from his nice friend who liked her first βοΈ
- girl immediately liking the asshole guy over absolutely nothing (but his looks I guess) βοΈ
- dumb miscommunication which breaks them upβοΈ
- time lapse βοΈ
- the miscommunication is cleared, but they have moved on and do NOT get back together, the main couple changes βοΈ (I love second-chance romance :( )
- bittersweet ending βοΈ
Basically, I hate love triangles cause they're always a mess and bittersweet. I especially hate them when the MC changes throughout the story. I can't ship one couple and then ship another, I just can't.
The only good thing about this is the OST and maaaybe the character development of the heroine, coming to terms with her past.

Worst Kdrama
Love Alarm 1 was so good, the casting, the acting, the story, the chemistry between song kang and sohyun, everything was so good and people were so excited for the next season. After almost 3 years of waiting, they decided to give this trash and left everyone disappointed. Not worth your time, y'all save yourself from watching the season 2, I recommend watching season 1 and just stop there.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

INFURIATING ???
INFURIATING! Never have I been so annoyed by a protagonist than I have been towards JOJO in season 2. I like to believe I understand what the writers were going for in this show - overall by saying you don't need apps or anything to know who you love, but the way everything was executed was a HUGE miss.Poor Sun-Oh, he who was the ONLY honest character in this whole series. This dude got trampled on this entire season, and was essentially given (and I hate to say this because Yuk-Jo was incredibly sweet and understanding. I feel for her) a consolation prize at the end. But he at least knows Yuk-Jo loves him and is honest about her feelings.
Also, does Gul Mi actually learn anything!?! I guess that's realistic, she at least acknowledges you have to be honest with people in order for them to like you? THAT WASN'T HER ISSUE IN THE FIRST PLACE THOUGH!! It was the fact that she looked down on everyone and thought she was the greatest thing on Earth!!! How about some common decency and respect for others - something she never seemed to learn nor realize why people didn't like her.

Unpopular opinion: It was an okay drama but not the best either
I dropped this drama in the past maybe like twice bc I didn't like Jojo and Sun Oh together. But hearing about the buzz about this drama lately I decided to give this drama a shot again. I heard complaints about the ending of season 2 and unlike me, I thought the drama was okay but at the same time not the best either. I will combine my review for both seasons:First, I didn't really like the first season bc I couldn't feel the connection between Jojo and Sun Oh. I didn't like Sun Oh as much either bc I thought he was sorta selfish. I mean, he was well aware that his best friend, Hye Young, liked Jojo but decided to still pursue her which was so effed up. Also, another reason why he was being selfish is his actions. Like, it frustrated me how him pursuing Jojo and making it public in season 1 bc he wanted to made a negative impact on Jojo. She was already being critically judged and hated by her high school classmates for cheating on her first bf with Sun Oh and told him she didn't wanna be too pubic about it. But he didn't listen. THEN, in season 2, bc he was really angry and willing to risk his image to win back Jojo that he went to her university to see her despite caring that everyone knows he's in a relationship with Yuk Jo. He only thought of himself and not Jojo bc people will think of her as a "mistress" bc they think she was having an affair with Sun Oh. So her university life is gonna be like crap too bc of him? Wow. He really didn't think about how his actions would've affected Jojo and only thought of himself. Although Jojo did him wrong too for deceiving him about the shield but Sun Oh was at fault too in some ways. They were both wrong in some ways imo.
Second, the whole love alarm app was quite a very frustrating technology that really made an impact on people. People relied so much on the love alarm app to see if a person truly loves them. Like with Sun Oh, he kept asking her to show her love alarm to get clarity if she still loves him or not. Then Jojo is here confused of her feelings bc she doesn't have the love alarm app to show who her feelings go for. Then Hye Young is here waiting for her to ring his love alarm to show proof that she does love him. Even he questioned her feelings for him bc of the spear despite all the actions Jojo showed to him prior that she does love him. The love alarm is just toxic in so many ways that people depend on that crap to show proof of your love for someone. The whole spear thing just made things worse and was totally unecessary. It's bad enough with the shield but adding the spear made it more complicating. They could've made it simpler where Duk Go, the developed, removed the shield so she can show her feelings to Hye Young and that's it! That was the whole point from the very beginning was to remove that but the story suddenly just went a different direction bc of the spear.
Third, as much as majority wanted SUn Oh and Jojo together, I actually wanted her to be with Hye Young in the end since season 1. And spoiler, THEY DID END UP TOGETHER IN THE END <3 I thought they had good chemistry and Hye Young was just so loving, caring, and understanding towards Jojo. He still had hope that she'd one day fall for him in which she did. He wasn't forcing himself on to her compared to Sun Oh but simply just showed his affection towards her and took it steady. The love alarm app really wasn't necessary to prove Jojo's feelings for Hye Young but they relied on it so much. Jojo CLEARLY proven and shown him physically and emotionally that she had feelings for Hye Young. She even tried so hard in meeting the developer to remove the shield in order to show she loved Hye Young to him. But they were blinded by the app that it took them this long to finally get together. I feel like Hye Young contributed a bit on Jojo's change compared to Sun Oh who just kept getting mad, trying to win her back, and etc.
Fourth, Jojo's character as like everyone said was annoying in many ways. It was annoying seeing how she was stringing both guys along bc she kept doubting and couldn't figure out her feelings for both of them. How I see it, she always loved Hye Young all along, but she was insecure and needed confirmation herself from the love app. She was a broken, insecure character with a broken childhood. She grew up being hated and had trauma from her past that it affected her relationships with people. As a lot of people complained, she could've just straight up told the truth and communicated with both guys than staying silent to herself. It would've made things less complicating if she had done so which was another flaw in this drama. But then again, there are many people in real life that are not good at confrontation or expressing their feelings bc of their fear and what they've been through. Although it's not an excuse for her to do that to both guys, but it is a reason that we have to look at as to why she did it. I felt bad for Sun Oh bc he really deserved so much better than Jojo. As for Hye Young, I felt bad for him too bc he literally waited and was hidden in the dark about the truth and not knowing her true feelings for him when she clearly could've told him herself. But she didn't until it reaches the point she was about to lose him. But I guess there was some character growth in her? She really just needed time for herself to learn to love herself again before getting into a relationship.
Overall, despite some of the flaws in the storyline and characters, it was an okay drama but not something I'd rewatch again.

WTF Jojo!!!
Ok so first of all, I really like the first Love Alarm. I thought that aside from the fact that the actors and the OST were incredible, the story was something else too. However, that impression was destroyed with Love Alarm 2... To begin with, I think Jojo was really selfish and never for once considered the feelings of Hye Young, Yook Jo and more importantly of Sun Oh. She never even thought how they felt and the only thing she cared about was her self. She was with Hye Young , but she never loved him truly. And that only hurt him. Also Yook Jo didn't deserve all that pain, just because Jojo couldn't decide who she loved.BUT! The thing that I hated the most about Love Alarm 2 was the ending that Sun Oh faced. Sun Oh loved Jojo more than anyone, and even though he was never happy because of his family, he continued waiting for her. Because honestly, these two were really in love. And what did Jojo do? She tried to prove to herself that she loved Hye Young! And because she hurt Sun Oh so much and never returned to him, he tried to love Yook Jo. I believe that he was being sincere when he said that he would come everyday until, maybe one day, he rings her love alarm. But nobody can force someone to love someone they don't. But he tried to be happy...
Well, the OST was really nice, but the story was the worse thing for me. I feel like it was extremly forced. The ending was nothing special, more like stupid, and everything in the story destroyed Sun Oh. And honestly, I wouldn't watch it again. I don't feel like its worth it, and that's because the only thing I felt while watching the series, was pain for Sun Oh, and anger for Jojo...
