Regretting this
I want to rate 0 but I think that's too extreme. Thus I settle for 1. I was anticipating this for 2 years only to see sun oh getting hurt over and over again. I'm disappointed. Super unhappy with the ending. I'm dropping this. Just gonna pretend this series never exist. Some might be happy with the ending but not me. I hate this series so bad now, I regret liking the first one. I can't believe I wait for 2 years for nothing. I don't understand why do I even bother watching this series in the first place. Sun oh and jojo chemistry is too good, but this 2nd season destroys it. They should just end the series at that cliffhanger in the first season. Its wayyy better than this. I don't recommend you watching this second season. In fact, if you have not start watching the first season, don't even bother watching it. The ending is so bad. With all my heart, I hate it. Thank you.

WASTE OF TIME DO NOT WATCH THIS
season 1 is way better! sorry but this season looks forced. it looks like they were in a hurry while filming this. They did not give any justice to sun oh's character here. The girl's character here is very selfish and self centered. This film is a clown. Not gonna watch this ever again. THIS FILM IS A JOKE. HAHAHA! THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE MADE ANOTHER SEASON. WRONG MOVE!! EXPRESSING MY IMMENSE DISAPPOINTMENT AND ANGER RIGHT NOW. WORST SCRIPT EVER. I HATE IT. I WASTED 6 HOURS OF MY LIFE. I WASTED YEARS OF MY LIFE WAITING FOR THIS!!! I AM SO DISAPPOINTED WITH THE DIRECTOR AND WRITER. BUT THE ACTORS DID WELL. I JUST HATE THE STORY LINE.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Love Alarm 2 felt so rushed.
First of all, what happened in the final scene of the first season? We will never know! With that being said, i can resume Love Alarm 2 in one word: rushed. The end was understandable, they did a good job showing why Jojo choosed Hyeyoung over Sunoh, and because of that i didn't get more frustrated.
But talking about Sunoh, it really makes me sad the fact that Jojo never gave him a proper explanation of why she installed the shield - even when he asked for an explanation - Jojo's reasons were never explained to him and i have the feel that in this case it'll be so hard for him to get over his feelings for Jojo. On other hand, Hyeyoung was a really nice character but they failed to show him as a interesting person... if you look back he don't have any other interest, it's just Kim Jojo, i thought that with the whole situation of his father Hyeyoung would show a more interesting side of himself... but no!
The scene of Jojo and Sunoh letting each other go was the most beautiful and memorable to me, it gives a big feeling of nostalgia and made me realize that in real life not every first love stay together forever...
For me, the script was really poor taking into account the character were adults and not teenagers anymore. Some things would be more acceptable if the dialogues were better.
I think things in this season could have been better. It was bittersweet ending.

Disappointment
After waiting almost 2 years, I expected the story to continue on that cliffhanger. Okay, they didn’t. Not a big deal because we’ll probably get some flashbacks showing how they got to where they are right? Nope. We get thrust into this relationship between Jojo and Hyeyoung, and it’s not that I don’t like the pairing, it’s just never fully explained why she won’t go back to Sunoh even though she clearly loves him. Even their break up in season 1 was fine because we knew that she loved him enough to eventually choose him. I get the point that it’s to show that she has a choice. I’m always like, they always go for the jerk that mistreats them why not the nice guy. I think this story would have made more sense if from the beginning it showed that she had that passion for Hyeyoung. Instead, we get 6 episodes where it seems she’s trying to force herself to fall in love. I dunno, coulda been better written.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Not worth my time
I was excited for this drama since the first season came out, but after watching it felt like a waste of time. If you shipped JoJo and Sunoh you shouldn’t watch it...The acting and cast was good, but the storyline was not like most people expected or wanted. Most people wanted JoJo to end up with Sunoh, so why in the world did they choose to do the exact opposite?
It honestly didn’t even feel like they continued from season 1, but made a new drama with the same people... I feel like I just wasted six hours of my life that I could spend to watch a different k-drama that didn’t disappoint me

I Never Actually Hated a Drama Until This One
I am so pained right now!!!!! I can't believe I wasted my time to get that horrible ending. This drama was badly written and the character development was so poor.Okay, I lied all the time I said I wanted the girl to end up with the second lead. No, it didn't work.
As a firm member of Team Sun-oh, I was stupidly waiting for Jojo and Sun-oh to resolve their misunderstanding and have a happy ending. It's the only reason I watched until the very end. Otherwise, it was too painful to watch a heartbroken Sun-oh struggle to handle his emotions and get hopeful when he thought he had a chance. Oh my gaaaaash, I ended up hating Jojo for doing that to him.
This drama was just the worst things about love triangles in full brightness with absolutely no comic relief.

In conclusion
It's crap.Completely different from what season one was. It's like watching a whole new drama.
At this point of the show where they're now adults, I thought they would be able to clear up misunderstandings and move on. Talk properly and be able to convey their feelings with more ease but boy was I wrong. It just got more confusing and messy. Sun Oh barely got any screen time despite being the male lead?? JJ literally being inconsiderate of Sun Oh's feelings too.
The storyline is frustrating, starting from ep 1 everything just went downhill.

No. Just no.
I do not usually write reviews but I must for this one. After watching Love alarm 2 years ago, love alarm 2 had always been my MOST awaited drama but I can’t believe the fact that now that I finally watched it, it was so trashy. (MY OPINION)Characters:
Jojo: Omg I absolutely hated the fact that she was SO insensitive and inconsiderate towards Sun Oh’s feelings and what pissed me more was the fact that this ma'am just won’t give Sun Oh answers that he CLEARLY DESERVED. And the worst- she blamed HIM for the shield SHE installed, HERSELF.
Sun Oh: One of my favourite characters was Sun Oh’s character. He had crazy stage presence and when he cried, I cried too. Song Kang did an excellent job portraying Sun Oh. One thing I disliked about him was that even tho he knew himself that he was not over jojo, he kept leading on his girlfriend and gave her false hope.
Hyeyeong: I personally don’t hate him but nor do I like him. He was so inconsiderate towards Sun Oh. When sun oh expressed his feelings to his bestfriend, this man decides to just leave. Every time Sun Oh tried to initiate an actual conversation with him, he just decided to leave. But of course, JGR did a good job acting as HY.
Sun Oh’s “girlfriend”: I didn’t really notice her character. She didn’t have as much presence so she was unnoticeable to me.
Conclusion: I hated the plot. I hated the storyline. I hated everything about this season. I hated how they gave hope to sun oh and jojo’s relationship in season 1 and just ended it in season 2. And the worst part is that they did give hope to their relationship in season 2 but ended it again. Keeping in mind sun oh’s feelings, it was pretty shitty. But then I do love the cast including KSH, SK and JGR!

Love is a choice, not just hormones
I know some people were disappointed in the endgame of this drama. Most of them wanted a Jojo x SunOh reconciliation. But from season 1, I've always felt that being with SunOh was toxic to Jojo and Hyeyeong or even her original boyfriend will be a better match for her. This is not really a spoiler because it all happened in S1 but you may skip this paragraph because I'm about to rant. What people don't seem to realize was that in S1, SunOh only approached Jojo because he wants to show Hyeyeong that he can get the girl his best friend was crushing on. He's a childish man who had almost everything handed to him in a platter. His mom is an actress, his dad a politician, a supposedly 'perfect' family. His only complaint is his mother does not love him. He looked to Hyeyeong to fill his need for affection. He can never support Jojo emotionally because he's so damaged and wants to keep affirming people's love for him. He was at first jealous of Jojo because she took Hyeyeong's attention from him. He was just testing how much Hyeyeong was willing to give up for him. Then he started an almost stalker behavior. If it was an average looking man, what he did would be scary not sweet. And he kissed her knowing she has a boyfriend? This guy's moral compass was very wrong. To top it off, he somehow made her feel pitiful when he paid for her lunch money and he made her a target of hate but was not able to protect her from his 'fans'. And he was so obsessively clingy, first to Hyeyeong then to Jojo. Okay, maybe Jojo was wrong by installing the shield but what ticks me is that he didn't even support her anymore once she stopped ringing his love alarm, he just felt sorry for himself.
Some people can't seem to find a reason why SunOh and Jojo broke up but it's very simple. Being with SunOh in HS only made her feel small. His fans kept saying she should just die. She felt unworthy to be alive all over again. Yes, he kept ringing her alarm, a telltale sign he still loves/wants her, but he never ever became someone she really needed, someone she can rely on to stand by her no matter what, someone who really respects her and her boundaries. What's funny is that in HS, SunOh kept saying it's Jojo's choice who will be with her and she is not a thing but became angry when the choice wasn't him.
So I think you can guess that I never really rooted for SunOh despite liking their cutesy dates and fluffy kisses. I liked the boyfriend better because even after they broke up, he still cared about Jojo. Hyeyeong was the best match for Jojo because he was emotionally stable and he doesn't even have the 'perfect' life. He has a 'criminal's son' tag for goodness sakes. But he was just always there for her when she needed him. Even when Jojo disappeared from people who might love him, he still rang her alarm 10 times.
Unlike with SunOh, Hyeyeong and Jojo's love may not be instant attraction from both sides. But it is a love that's built on respect and support, a love you want to keep. I really like what Jojo said to SunOh when he found out about the shield "You made me install the shield but Hyeyeong made me want to remove it". It was Hyeyeong who made her feel worthy of being alive.
Some says that it was not fair that SunOh settled for Yukjoo, but for me she was exactly what he needed. Someone who will constantly give him affection.
I couldn't give a perfect rating because I didn't like the other characters. I really couldn't relate to Gulmi, her mom, Brian and DukGu. They felt like plot devices, their characters were not really fleshed out. If it was only about the love triangle arc, I would have rated this 10/10. The underlying theme is love is a choice, choose to live, choose to love.

Season 2 is such a disappointment
Unlike season 1, season 2 is extremely slow moving. Wonder whether the production company was just trying to drag out the story over more episodes. It was too slow. The acting got dragged down and became boring and trying. A BIG BIG LETDOWN after season 1. There was not much music or scenery or acting or good-looking actors and actresses could do to salvage the disastrous production and directing and editing. Netflix should make sure that those key people responsible for season 2 are not again in a (originally) good drama.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
