Interesting... not like typical beauty. FL was not pretty pretty but she's okay. As for ML, not bad i guess. Ohhh the actor who played as xie qilin, we meet again, lieutenant sha ping wei! The painters hurrying to paint what she wore was very fascinating way of making them a bit like paparazzi(?) in modern setting. Not she's bluffing for her clapback. Ouuu the ML would not help her yikes. I've definitely hv seen the villainess feixian somewhere before this drama hmm... FL was a bit ridiculous skskks. She really had hot temper when it came to him ig. Why her family was like that? A bit silly her father and brother. Wait... How did ML get to be in court bcs he was a scholar? Myb he did contribute something?

Being neither female, nor Chinese, nor Asian for that matter, I'm really not up to speed was is considered historically accurate. But I don't care. The first episode was fun. The music was great, and the cinematography colorful and a feast for the eyes. The main actress is not the most beautiful woman on the planet but she fit her role perfectly. The guy is too good looking to be real, but then, I don't really care what dudes look like anyway.All in all, this seems to be a fun, colorful, an totally historically inaccurate series. Just what we need in these dark days (winter here).

Not every movie opening with a scene of jealousy that have done so well, I could not help but to root for the female character. She is strong and free spirit. Also, she could fly. The mystery of the dream help with magical element in the movie too. The episode is just too short.
