I also like the brotherly love between the two main characters, it would have been nice if they delve more on their relationship but romance would never go wrong.
The acting was good and the actors were all pleasing to the eyes. I also like the music and the scenery

No tenía altas expectativas de este drama ya que es un drama de fantasía y W (que es de fantasía y tenía altas expectativas) no me gustó tanto, además mis dramas favoritos no son de fantasía, bueno, más bien no eran, ya que luego de ver este grandioso drama, merece un buen puesto entre mis preferencias (y si que es fantasioso).Primero que todo, amé a Lee Rang, no podía hacer esta reseña sin mencionarlo , supongo que Lee Yeon es guapo pero no puedo evitar preferir a Lee Rang de entre los hermanos zorros y el resto de personajes del drama. Se me hizo imposible odiar a Lee Rang, volviéndose mi personaje favorito. Si no has visto este drama deberías hacerlo, ¡te lo recomiendo al 100%! Y si ya lo viste sabes que no exagero al decir que en serio es muy bueno. Ya habiéndolo terminado de ver me siento triste y molesta con el final, pero aun así fue un drama que disfruté en general y apenas terminé de verlo lo quería volver a ver.

Une histoire complexe, mais un drama qui reste à découvrir.
Dès les premiers épisodes, j'ai trouvé l'histoire assez complexe avec le mélange de beaucoup de contes et légendes. Mais on finit par se laisser porter, il ne faut pas trop se poser de questions.Les acteurs : Lee Dong Wook, est égal à lui même. Il reste vraiment agréable à regarder, on se laisse porter facilement par son personnage qu'il porte bien.
Les seconds rôles sont vraiment top ; Autant Kim Bum que Hwang Hee, que les rôles féminins : Jo Bo Ah, Kim Yong Ji.
Leurs histoires sont touchantes, et chacun a réussi à bien développer son personnage.
Un plus pour l'acteur qui joue l'IMUGI : Lee Tae Ri, vraiment glacial et il fait peur à souhait.
Les derniers épisodes apportent leur lot émotionnel, et malgré quelques lenteurs, j'ai trouvé ce drama bien sympathique.
Je regrette juste un peu la scène de fin ;-) On nous laisse dans un doute qui, à mon avis, n'était pas nécessaire.
Pour les fans de Lee Dong Wook, il est à voir, et pour les autres, cela reste un bon drama.

It's a MUST watch
For anyone who hasn't seen this Kdrama series yet, let me tell you, you don't even need to consider whether you're gonna watch it or not. It is simply too outstanding not to watch it.Everything from the storyline down to the cast has been meticulously planned and it all flows so well with each other.
The two main leads of the series displayed so much chemistry with each other, making it so much more enjoyable and the way the producers and directors portrayed the antagonist(s) doesn't really make you hate them later down the line ?.
The series really takes you on an emotional ride with one episode making you cry and another making you laugh until your stomach hurts.
Overall, you NEED to watch this series if you're into heart-wrenching romance with an air of mystery and thriller.

The Gumiho Brothers stole the show
"Tale Of The Nine Tailed" is a story of foxes, deities, supernatural beings and of course humans. The mythical nine-tailed fox also known as Gumiho, Lee Yeon (Lee Dong Wook) settling in the city and eradicating supernatural beings that possess a threat to the mortal world. His half brother Lee Rang (Kim Bum) harbours a deep-seated contempt for people. Nam Ji Ah (Jo Bo Ah/Ah Eum) is Lee Yeon's reincarnated love interest , director in a show depicting urban myths. Living as a vet, Gu Shin Ju (Hwang Hee)band assistant of Lee Rang,Ki Yu Ri (Kim Yong Ji) are other two foxes.The show unfolds Nam Ji Ah trying to find her parents who were missing due to a mysterious car accident. On the journey she meets with the Gumiho brothers and other beings. The past lives and supernatural characters keep coming in their way discovering the truth.
The acting of Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum was on the spot. Lee Dong Wook always surprised us as supernatural characters. Kim Bum literally stole the show. Lee Rang, was totally different from any other character Kim Bum ever portrayed. The last episode shook the viewers because of his sacrifice. Although we get a hint of his reincarnation.
In the end everyone has a happy ending. Nam Ji Ah and Lee Yeon get married. Gu Shin Ju and Ki Yu Ri are also a happily married couple. Even the snail bride in happy with her reincarnated husband. I hoped that Lee Rang could get a fulfilling happy ending.
Though Lee Yeon says he has turned into a human but we see him using his powers again as a Gumiho. So is it temporary ? Or what he was saying was only a cover?
~So viewers are left with a little bit of mystery to fiddle with as the Gumiho carries goes on.

PERSONAL OPINION (Hope it helps)
If you ask me what comes to my mind when I think of this Kdrama: Lee Dong wook!!!!I started watching this drama due to its hype and ratings of first episode and the truth is I do not regret my decision.
It is a nice love story of a Gumiho and a human. One of the best kdrama to binge-watch if you love fantasy. It is a brilliant mixture of supernatural’s, love, bromance and fight sequences. The chemistry and acting skills of Lee dong-wook and Jo Bo Ah is just perfect. The twist and turns in each episode are exciting, keeps you at the tip of your toes.
I loved how Jo Bo Ah was portrayed as a strong-willed woman but the character lost its clarity later on. Some scenes like people are dying but main leads going on dates and no one cared much is bit too odd.
Gods and Myths with a modern twist was fun to watch, gumiho who loves mint chocolate ice-creams, Souls given presentation on how to deal with afterlife by gatekeeper of Samdo River. Nice thought!!
If you despise even a small amount of Horror and excepts a lot of intelligence , this drama is not your piece of cake.
This drama shows how we are given choices in our lives and we pay for our decisions.

Roller coaster ride
First and foremost, i literally just finished watching this drama and i cried a river while watching the last two episodes. Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum just got me in tears.Secondly, Lee Yeon and Lee Rang are one hell of a handsome nine tailed foxes. I was totally captivated by their handsome faces and that alone is a 9 for me.
Next, cinematography and CGI are so beautiful that it will make you want to visit such places. Effects are so realistically done, so it pays off to have a really big budget when you do fantasy drama like this.
The storyline, though its not a-so-unique story anymore, you know immortal falling in love with a human and human sacrificing her life for the sake of the immortal only to be reborn again and destiny will find itself doing the same thing again.. that kind of cliche drama.. but its pretty much good overall because of some twists and unexpected turn of events.
For the love story part, lee dong wok is sooo gorgeous and bo-ah is also pretty but im sorry to say that i didnt feel any strong chemistry between them at all. Both actors can be both pretty and handsome but both should have strong chemistry so that the audience can feel their emotions and love for each other. Well, maybe im the only one and you may disagree with me, its just my thoughts and opinion after all. So, in the end, even if i was enthralled by each thrilling episodes, the love story part is just a so-so for me. What makes me hook with this drama is Lee Yeon, Lee Rang and and Yu Ri, who has a very interesting character.
From episode 1 to 14, it was a roller coaster ride of emotions for me. There's comedy, mind boggling scenes, aegyo, drama, action. But i cried so much come ep 15 and 16. Not so much because of the love story between Yeon and Ji-ah but more because of the love between brothers, Yeon and Rang. I was touched by their love for each other. Although in descreet manners and as if they hate each other, but the look in their eyes tells you otherwise. The sacrifice that Rang made for Yeon in the end proves just how much he loves his brother. I gave a 9 rating because in the end, the sacrifice that Yeon made just for Ji ah to be saved has been wasted when Ji Ah suddenly wants to die again for Yeon, thats why Rang sacrificed himself so that his brother's death would not go to waste because of ji ah. It would have been better if they ended it as it is.. yeon died for his first love. Well, this is just me. Of course, viewers will always love a happy ending, and that inudes me also. But it still depends on how the story goes by.
Nevertheless, i still rated it 9 and a rewatched value of 9 also, all because of Lee Yeon and Lee Rang.

It has an amazing and interesting story. I love this serial and think you should watch it. I'm very much looking forward to the new season of the series as well. Actually , this series was able to show love very well. It was able to show very well how strong the power of love is. Nam Ji Ah is smart & intelligent. Her smartness was shown in every episode. She isn't a damsel in distress, she is one who will face her enemy face on without any fear.
The way Lee Yeon jumped from the balcony to save Nam Ji Ah &, in the end, getting injected by her

Love Taluipa & Lee Yeon bickering relationship. She shows that she doesn’t care for him, but she does a lot. The way she fought with her brother for him.

Love Lee Rang, how much of a baddie he is. I just love him. Sometimes his love for his brother becomes excessive, but then also I love him. He shows himself as a rude person who doesn't care for anyone, but that's not true. He cares a lot about Lee Yeon, Ki Yoo Ri & Kim Soo Oh.
Gu Shin Joo is coming to Nam Ji Ah house to cook, otherwise Lee Yeon will burn her house down.
Nam Ji Ah called Gu Shin Joo her mother-in-law.
Love how Gu Shin Joo takes care of Lee Yeon. The way he brought food for Lee Yeon while he was in a bad mood.

It could be masterpiece, but ended up being a average drama.
এমনিতেই রোমান্টিক-ফ্যান্টাসি জনরাটা আমার অনেক পছন্দের। এই জনরার একটা ড্রামা দিয়েই আমার ড্রামা জগতে আগমন এবং এখন পর্যন্ত সেই ড্রামাটা আমার মোস্ট ফেভারিট ড্রামার ছোট্ট লিস্টে আছে (My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho/Nine-Tailed Fox)। তাই যখন ফক্স নিয়ে আরেকটা ড্রামা হচ্ছে শুনলাম এবং সেই ড্রামায় ফক্স চরিত্রে অভিনয় করেছে আমাদের সবার প্রিয় গ্রীম-রিপার, স্বভাবতই এক্সপেক্টেশানটা অনেক বেশি ছিল ড্রামাটা নিয়ে।ড্রামাটা ভালো, কিন্তু আমি হতাশ হয়েছি সম্ভবত খুব বেশি এক্সপেক্টেশান থাকার কারণে। গল্পটা কেমন জানি প্রাণহীন মনে হয়েছে আমার কাছে। আরো প্রাণহীন মনে হয়েছে সবার অভিনয়। এর মানে কিন্তু গল্প কিংবা অভিনয় খারাপ হয়েছে সেটা বলছি না, সবই ঠিক আছে। কিন্তু তার পরেও কোথায় জানি একটা শূন্যতা থেকে গেছে বলে মনে হয়েছে।
গল্পটা সাধারণই। এমন পাস্ট লাইফ-লাভ-রিভেঞ্জ জনরার ড্রামা আগেও হয়েছে। তারপরেও ড্রামাটা মাস্টারপিস হতে পারতো, হয়নি শুধুমাত্র দূর্বল এক্সিকিউশনের কারণে। দূর্বল এক্সিকিউশন কেন বললাম, আমার কাছে যে কয়টা মনে হয়েছে, সেগুলো নিয়ে বলি-
৫. এক্সপ্রেশান। আমার কাছে বারবার এক্সপ্রেশানের রিপিটেশান হয়েছে বলে মনে হয়েছে। এক্সপ্রেশান ঠিকই ছিল, কিন্তু সব পরিস্থিতিতে সবার একই ধরনের এক্সপ্রেশান বারবার দেখানোটা বিরক্তিকর ঠেকেছে। যেমন- লি ডং-উকের ভ্রু নাচানি, কিম বামের ঠোঁটের কোণায় বাঁকা হাসি, নায়িকার লাইফলেস এক্সপ্রেশান। মানে সিচুয়েশান যেটাই হোক- স্যাডনেস, হ্যাপিনেস, রোমান্টিক, সারকাস্টিক- সব জায়গায় একই এক্সপ্রেশান দিলে কেমনে কি?
৪. ব্রোমান্স। দুই ভাইয়ের মাঝে যথেষ্ট ব্রোমান্স দেখানো যেতো। কিন্তু আমার কাছে মনে হয়েছে তাদের লাভ-হেইট্রেড রিলেশনের হেইট্রেড অংশটা দেখানো হয়েছে বেশি। দুই ভাইয়ের একজনের অন্যজনের প্রতি যে টান, তার সঠিক এক্সিকিউশন হয়নি বলেই মনে হয়েছে।
৩. সেকেন্ড কাপল। সেকেন্ড লিড কাপলের প্রতি আরেকটু নজর দেয়ার দরকার ছিলো। আমার মনে হয়েছে শুধুমাত্র ক্যারেক্টার দরকার, সেজন্যই তাদের আনা হয়েছে, কিন্তু যত্ন দিয়ে লালন করা হয় নাই। আরেকটু যত্ন নিয়ে ক্যারেক্টারগুলো সাজালে ডটস লেভেলের একটা ফিলিং আসতো। কিন্তু এই ড্রামায় তাদের কোনো গুরত্বই দেয়া হয় নাই।
২. মোটিভ। ইমুগির উদ্দেশ্যটা কি? সে আসলে চায়টা কি? মাউন্টেন স্পিরিটের প্রতি তার এত ক্ষোভ কেন? নায়িকার প্রতি তার এত অবসেশন কেন? মানে, সে তার লজিক দেখিয়েছে ঠিক আছে, কিন্তু আমার কাছে সেটাকে এতটা স্ট্রং মনে হয়নি। ওরা তো সরাসরি তার কোনো ক্ষতি করেনি। তার ব্যাডলাকের জন্য ওরা সরাসরি দায়ীও না। মুন্টেন স্পিরিট তো আরো ছিল, আর হিউম্যান সেক্রিফাইসেরও অভাব ছিলো না তার। তাহলে শুধু মাত্র ওদের প্রতিই তার এমন অবসেশন কেন? সে বারবার বলেছে, মেয়েটাকে প্রথমেই তার উদ্দেশ্যে সেক্রিফাইস করা হয়েছে, সে-ই তার প্রপ্য হকদার। কিন্তু এই সেক্রিফাইসটা কে করেছে তার উত্তর কোথাও দেয়া হয়নি!
১. একশান। ড্রামার একশন সিন গুলো হাস্যকর লেভেলের মনে হয়েছে। মানে, দুই-দুইটা এত পাওয়ারফুল স্বত্তা। এতই পাওয়ারফুল যে দুনিয়া ধ্বংস করার ক্ষমতা রাখে। দুজনের যুদ্ধের সিনগুলো আরো ড্রামাটিক হবার দরকার ছিলো। অথচ সে তুলনায় কিছুই দেখানো হয়নি। কেনো? বাজেট স্বল্পতা? যেটা দেখানো হয়েছে সেটাকে বড়জোর দুইটা ফ্যামিলি ধ্বংসের যুদ্ধ বলা যেতে পারে, পুরো দুনিয়া না!
ড্রামায় যে ভালো লাগার মতো কিছু ছিলো না, সেটা না। কিছু কিছু জিনিস আমার বেশ ভালো লেগেছে। বিশেষ করে পিচ্চিটার অভিনয়! এত্ত গুলুমুলু একটা পিচ্চি! ইদানীং বাচ্চা-কাচ্চা কি বেশি ভালো লাগে! বয়স হয়ে যাচ্ছে, বুঝা যাচ্ছে!!
কিম বাম আর জো বো-আর সাপে-নেউলে সম্পর্কটা! প্রথম থেকেই দুজনের কেমিস্ট্রিটা আমার কাছে বেশ মজা লেগেছে। শেষ দিকে তো মনে হয়েছে ওরা ইটস ওকে টু নট বি ওকে-র কো মুন-ইয়ং আর মুন সাং-তে!
কিছু কিছু ড্রামা আছে যেগুলো বারবার দেখলেও তৃপ্তি মেটে না। আবার কিছু ড্রামা একবার শেষ করতেও কষ্ট হয়ে যায়। আমি বলব The Tale of a Nine Tailed মাস্টারপিস হবার সব ধরণের উপকরণ থাকা স্বত্তেও ওয়ান টাইম ওয়াচেবল হিসাবে থেকে গেছে।

Wow. There's a lot I can say about this drama, but I'll start off by saying; Tale of the nine tailed is one of my all time favorite Kdramas and I enjoy watching it over and over again. It's probably my favorite fantasy drama ever! It has everything, a beautiful story, dramatic scenes, good music, great acting (and really good looking actors, I know that's a big bonus for people)The plot intrigued me from the very beginning. Im usually not a huge fan of romance dramas, but this one is an exception. Lee Yeon and Nam Ji Ah were a perfect couple. They had so much chemistry, I love the back story of Yeon and Ah Eum too. It was very touching. These 2 were just constantly supporting eachother and there was something so magical about their romance. It felt so right and so real, the emotions in this drama were on point! I love the constant rain scene they show with Yeon giving Ji Ah and umbrella, it just feels so romantic. Also, Yeon is the definition of loyalty and I find him quite inspiring in that sense. I generally just love their love story,
Like everyone else, I really love Lee Rang and Lee Yeon. I do love brotherhood in Kdramas, especially evil siblings, lol. In a way, they really remind me of Stefan and Damon from "the vampire diaries". They may fight like dogs, but at the end of the day, they'd die for eachother. Even though Rang always claimed to hate his brother, in the end he was the who who saved Yeon and I loved seeing their connection deepen through the series.
The villan is also very interesting. The serpant, who has a unique ability to cause death and chaos by just touching people.
And of course, the old hag. She was really annoying sometimes, but deep down she loved Yeon and it was very touching to see.
The cast just feels perfect. Lee Dong Wook really seems to suit fantasy dramas, there's just someone so unreal and beautiful about him and IU love his character here. The orange hair suits him well too and his acting as always, was one point.
Jo Bo Ah was amazing as always too. The first drama I saw her in was actually "my strange hero", not this one. But her performance in tale of the nine tailed was so memorable and impressive that whenever I think of her this drama immediately comes to mind.
Kim Bum was probably the most impressive to me. Lee Rang was my favorite character and I think no one could have played him better than Kim Bum. In one scene, he could perfectly play an evil menace and in the next he could make us feel so much sympathy for his character.
The music adds so much emotion to the scenes, especially my favorite OST "Parting at the river of three crossings". It's just beautiful and adds magic to every scene. Everytime it starts playing, I instantly fall in love with the scene. And there are so many other good OST's this drama has to offer.
So, in conclusion, I LOVE tale of the nine tailed. I don't think there's anything I specifically dislike about this drama. I definitely recommend for people who enjoy fantasy and romance. Tale of the nine tailed perfectly ties together many different tropes and genres and creates a beautiful captivating story.

A chance can change everything
I first thought it's about yeon and ji a love story only but it's also about rang and yeon brother love i did't expected rang will give his life i think he is my favorite in this drama in 15,16 episodes i can't stop crying because yeon and rang when yeon give up his life for ji a. Rang can't taked it because he have to stab his brother who he love more than anyone in episode 15 rang become a heartbroken person but when yuri married he slowly becoming ok but when rang and ji a met afterlife judge first ji a said she give up but instead of ji a . Rang give up his life for yeon my most painful moment is when rang said goodbye to his family i thinked after yeon cameback yeon will find the way to bring rang back but rang did't cameback it is most sad moment it's be a full happy ending when rang also cameback but it not happen but it is my favorite drama because yeon and rang brother relationship in all story only lovers give sacrifice but in this drama rang give sacrifice to bring his brother back i really liked this dramaVond je deze recentie nuttig?
