A very good engaging drama
Best drama to watch without feeling like dropping it. Engaging right from the start, My second time of seeing the leads in a drama and Chen Xing Xu came through again, he is literally a good actor with not just a pretty face, this is what happens when you really study drama and learn how to act, no wonder he was the top student in his class. A stellar casts with an amazing story, I didn't want it to end so I watched it for 3 days to delay finishing it because of how amazing the drama is. If you watch 1 episode you will feel like watching more and forget to sleep because of two smart leads put together, both leads are so smart that the villains don't even know what to do with them anymore. Nice Republican era /Warlord period drama
I actually enjoyed that one despite the aseptized, blurred & heavily romanced Republican era / Warlords period background (none true to real History).ML "Oliver" Chen XingXu played Shanghai Commander Tan XuanLin here and before that, Yang Kang in the 2017 best (to me) adaptation of Legend of the Condor Heroes. And young Zhang JingYi was a good FL.
The supporting team of "junior marshalls", cheeky sister and wide eyed actress were sometimes cartoon like, sometimes annoying. The villain war lords and their henchmen were suitably vicious and ugly.
Nevertheless, this drama had a surprisingly good plot with a not too heavy dose of sugar. Lots of twists & suspense.
Nice music, although I did not find it exceptional.
I don't plan to rewatch soon, but don't exclude watching some episodes again.

Have no fear, our hero Tan Xuanlin was bound to walk almost unscathed through so many dangers because of the magic amulet his girl Miss Mu gave him once she began to sense that her kidnapper was not going to kill her (like he ruthlessly did in the case of a female spy in the beginning) 😁! Though everybody did not reach the end episode safely.

i really love this drama you guys must watch this..this drama is verry satisfying and i really love it and the plot it so good like when you watch it really give u a chills like you can't guess what's the next thing there going to do its so unpredictable.. hope to see another drama with the same main lead because they carry the drama verry well and i really love their character they are so verry good at acting they should be given more drama's to act and i really admire this kind of drama hope to see more drama like this i love itVond je deze recentie nuttig?
