Even though "I Told Sunset About You" and "Hello Stranger" are made in different countries, both BL series tackles the struggle of young boys to accept their own feelings. Because of Societal Norms, they are not accepting who they are.

that's the first part of their story! watch teh and oh-aew meet as little kids, turn into best friends, part ways and finally meet again as teenagers who hold all the deep feelings in the world in their chests. good luck!

Has the same small town vibes and the cinematography is gorgeous in both. The colour palette is also very similar, focusing on those rich browns. The story is also similar in that it pulls at your heartstrings at every fitting moment.

Not entirely the same, however the aspect of incorporating learning Chinese or Mandarin is a highlight in both of the dramas. While learning Chinese in these dramas are for vastly different reasons, they are both a good watch.
I Told the Sunset about You is more cinematographic which pulls it together more since it feels like a more serious drama.
Love in Translation is truthfully a feel good drama, with some serious topics and scenes thrown in.
Both are great though!

If you're searching for a drama which is not only a beautiful romance between two childhood friends but also a theatrical masterpiece, then ITSAY is the answer.

While Second Chance can't be weighed on the same scales, it delivers a sweet story of two friends in love without too many complications.

I don't really know how to explain this one. The two main characters remind me a lot of GeminiFourth's characters in MSP (TinnGun), both physically and in terms of their personalities. I would also compare them to HeartLiming from Moonlight Chicken, who are played by the same actors and have a similar vibe.

Although TBFS is a movie while ITSAY is a series, both have some similarities. Both pertain to high school students and teenage love between the main actors. Also, one of the main characters is initially reluctant to express his feelings toward another guy.

If you've liked either ITSAY or Not Me, then you should definitely watch the other one too. There's a high chance you'll like it as well.
While these series have quite different plots, they're both amazing and interesting!

Things ITSAY and Not Me have in common:
- interesting story, very gripping, you won't get bored while watching
- great acting and great characters
- beautiful scenery, stunning views, just really visually pleasing
- great, well fitted soundtracks.

Personally, I find them both to be one of the best Thai bl series I've seen so far.

When Kosuke was 14 years old, his mother died. As a young gay person, he spent his adolescence in a rural village and suppressed his feelings. Now, Kosuke is all grown up and he works as a fashion magazine editor in Tokyo. He meets Ryuta, who works as a personal trainer. Ryuta's mother raised him alone and he is close to his mother. Kosuke and Ryuta become attracted to each other and they sometimes spend time with Ryuta's mother. Kosuke is happy to share time with Ryuta and his mother, which makes him remember his late mother. Kosuke and Ryuta make an appointment to go for a drive together, but, on that day, Ryuta does not show up.

With one of the male lead is proudly gay and the other one is going through the journey of self-acceptance, the series doesn't shy away from sexual attraction towards a person of same-sex. These series stand apart from the contemporary Boy's Love series tend to ignore the sexual orientation of the characters, by using the "I am not gay, I am just in love with you".

ITSAY also has a boy who is not sure about his feelings while the other boy is very open about his.

I don't know how to describe it. Something about the cinematography ,maybe the natural scenery in lovesea really reminds me of " itsay".
Itsay definitely is such a masterpiece in every single way compared to lovesea .but lovesea also managed to capture some level of that angst .

I think the beach scene are kind of like ITSAY, and it have that "dramatic" story but if you don't think that it's okay.

indeed the story is not that similar, but their enthusiasm in learning. and the background of one of the characters entering a new school and meeting the main player. I think this series has the same vibes. I think the vibrations are harmonious. this is about two people who meet at school, at first they don't get along, eventually they walk together.
