At first when i started watching this show i dropped it half way through the first episode. It was kind of weird and not to my taste. But after reading so many good revievs i decided to give it a second try. And it was the best decision. The story overall is pretty average, friends to enemies to friend to lovers. But what made me fall in love with this series was the acting! Billkin and PP did an amazing job in portraying the characters. The chemistry between the actors is one of the best that i've seen in thai dramas. So if anyone is still thinking if they should watch this show than my anwser is YES!! o drama todo é perfeito, tanto a alto descoberta deles, principalmente a do teh, a forma como foi abordado a homofobia interna eu achei algo bem realista, todos os sentimentos que ele tinha e mesmo assim ele não conseguir fazer qualquer coisa sem que ele se sentisse culpado, o apoio que ele recebe do hoon é invejável também, mostra que depois dele falar em voz alta e ouvir tudo que ele sentia, ser compreendido e ter o apoio, ele finalmente consegue se libertar sensacional. A forma como é mostrado o romance entre eles é tão profunda e leve ao mesmo tempo, todos os sentimentos parece que tu consegue sentir tudo que eles sentem junto, obviamente sua visão é mais privilegiada que a deles, mas eu consegui sentir o que eles sentiram.Os personagens são bem construídos, não são aquele raso de faz merda e é errado e pronto tem o motivo, as emoções, o pensar demais, o preconceito, é incrivel, é poético e a atuação é tão boa.

ITSAY é uma experiência única. Soma-se à elevada qualidade técnica um trabalho estético impecável e um roteiro excelente. Os protagonistas são atores muito acima da média, que entregam uma atuação visceral, capaz de dizer muito sem nenhuma palavra.Mas provavelmente o que mais me impressiona é como absolutamente todos os elementos em tela tem significado: o hibisco e o coco, mas também coisas menores como a posição dos alunos na sala. Nada é gratuito. Tudo significa.
Para além de ser um bl, ITSAY é uma das melhores descrições da passagem da adolescência pra vida adulta que eu já vi.

WORTH A TRY!!
This movie is AWESOME! Billkin and PP portrayed their characters super well and they literally made me cry a river. This movie is up and down. Sometimes you’d laugh so hard but I swear you’ll spend most of the time crying. But don’t worry, the ending is amazing and happy! The soundtrack is absolutely fantastic. Every song fits in the movie extremely well in its way. This is my personal opinion, but I feel like ITSAY has a lot of Call Me By Your Name vibes. You’ll see why I make the statement when you watch it! But overall, very worth the time and the tears. :) Highly recommended!Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Um BL com personagens reais que não cristaliza o conceito "amor gay" só pra vender um romance
Minhas espectativas pra I Told Sunset About You estavam beeeeeeeeeeeeem altas, uma vez que tem vários reviews 10 estrelas aqui no MDL. Ainda que com um pé atrás pela média de episódio de uma hora e vinte, eu me desafiei a assistir porque queria sentir a "perfeição" de que todos estavam falando. Vamos a história:I Told Sunset About You conta a história de dois amigos de infância que brigam por conta de suas ambições em se tornarem atores. Um deles, Teh, muda de escola e só volta a encontrar seus amigos no último semestre do ensino médio, numa aula de reforço de Chinês. Ele reencontra Ohaew, com quem tinha brigado, e eles acabam se reaproximando quando Teh resolve tutorar as aulas de chinês de Ohaew.
Eu estive admirada por esse drama do primeiro ao último episódio, sem excessão. Minha paixão por linguística foi o que mais me motivou a quase virar uma noite para terminar a história o mais rápido possível (mas eu me controlei rs). Eu amei o modo como o plot fluia em volta da ideia deles estarem estudando mandarim, eu amei a sinceridade e o medo que os personagens transmitiam só com o olhar, eu amei as cenas fofinhas e amei odiar as cenas tristes. Tudo, mesmo os pontos que normalmente me frustram em relações interpessoais (personalidades que não sabem como se expressar e acabam magoando o próximo porque acham mais fácil se afastar do que lidar com os próprios sentimentos x.x) me fizeram crescer uma admiração descomunal para com esse drama. Eu super pude sentir a energia de "10 estrelas" que as pessoas tem emanado nos reviews rs.
Portanto, não irei apontar aqui as negatividades de I Told Sunset About You, porque elas são opiniões completamente pessoais e eu espero que o leitor absorva desse texto a seguinte mensagem: I Told Sunset About You é uma história sobre dois garotos no ensino médio que se gostam, mas não é uma história produzida para fazer com que o espectador se apaixone pelo romance BL, é uma história para fazer com que o telespectador se apaixone pelo universo singular em que a história se passa, para que se apaixone por cada detalhezinho.

It deserves tens of awards
I needed to take my time before writing this review because I felt quite overwhelmed at the end, for many reasons, and wanted to think it through a lil. So, the first thing I feel like saying is that this drama is superior for a huge amount of reasons. It's literally perfect, I can't think of one single flaw. The story is a bit classic, not the first on screen for sure (two best friends arguing and becoming lovers is quite common) BUT they were able to make it amazing. It almost felt like the first time approaching such plot, when actually it wasn't.The level of storytelling here is so high I can't even bring to words how much it was well thought. Everything flows perfectly, the dynamics are so real it's unbelievable, not mentioning the actors' talent. In my opinion Billkin is on a totally different level, I find it rare. The way he expressed his character's emotions was incredible. The way he moved, the tears, the sobbing, laying around whit his mind full of uncertainties, using the objects around him, tapping on surfaces, the gaze...a mix of details that was sooo real. Insane. PP Krit was amazing too, especially in the way he showed frustration. AND not to talk about the sexual tension! Got to say that those parts and many others were greatly supported by good music/sounds, showing a great research was made. The sound director, sound editor, sound designer and all of the other professional figures did a very good job. The choice of rhythm was clever too, in some parts nothing special happened but you could feel either anxiety or the tension in all its intensity. Going from slow to fast, and alternating these tactics while adding the right music, resulted in a masterpiece.
The cinematography was so good too! Some shots were visually impressive. Overall every actor was good, everything about this drama is hella good!
I knew this drama by name but decided to try it after knowing about the award it received. And it was the best choice I could ever make. This is definetely on the Olympus of dramas. Absolutely.
The chance of me rewatching something was never so high.

Unexpectedly good
April 8, 2021If I am being honest, when I first watched the pilot episode. I thought this would be like your typical drama but it aint. This drama delivered the emotions that you need while touching the subject of friendship, relationship, accepting yourself, and self-love. I really AM SO FKING EXCITED TO WATCH SEASON 2.
I hope that in season two there won't be dragged-on misunderstanding. The way everyone was supportive of each other especially the brother and the ex gf and the other guy backing off. So that the two leads can be together was just phenomenal. I really love the chemistry of the leads. OMFG I WAS ABOUT TO HAVE A HEART ATTACK ON THE SCENE ON HIS BEDROOM AND THAT UNDERWATER SCENE. MY GOD, I ALMOST CLOSED MY LAPTOP JUST TO BREATH. CAUSE THOSE SCENES WERE BREATHTAKING. THE TENSION OF THOSE TWO ACTORS ARE SUPERIOR. I FELT THAT MY STOMACH WAS PUT INTO KNOTS. I WAS SWEATING TOO CAUSE IT WAS JUST WAY TOO STEAMY!!!!

Wow, just wow.
This is the first time I am ever writing a series review. I have seen a ton. I am probably one of those who watch one per day, but this is the first time I've felt compelled to write about one. I had heard about ITSAY several times in the past few months, before I finally decided to watch it this week. And well all that I had heard was well-deserved. It is a beautiful piece of cinema. It seems more and more like an art piece, with every seen. But it isn't the untouchable or too grand to get close kind of art. It's the kind that calls on you to touch, feel, experience and enjoy. It is brilliance personified.The director and the production crew created a masterpiece. I am especially impressed with the story-telling. It's well paced, real, fun, engaging and oh so human. This isn't about just two boys falling in love. It's about love, friendship, growing up, discovering yourself, your dreams, and so much more. Each character is so well acted that these characters become real relatable people. Hats off to Billkin and PP, they delivered splendid performances. They were so honest and believable as Teh and Oh-aew that I felt every single one of their emotions. There were times I cried with them and times when I wanted to knock some sense into them, but at the end I just fell in love with who they were.
I can go on and on about this masterpiece. But I think, the most important thing is it's cinematic brilliance that shouldn't be missed.

one of the best bls in a long time, definitely worthy of a re-watch
What's not to love about this show? The leads have great chemistry, the locations are gorgeous, the music is great and it has a believable, honest and sweet story.Sidenote, it's awesome that this show released a soundtrack of the score, that so seldomly happens in bls. I recommend listening to it and, or buying it.
The two lead actors portray their characters in a believable way. (Even though no one would even dare look at another person if PP Krijgt told you he loved you.) Tech's drama is believable, the reason he hurts Oh is understandable, I may shout at thescreen to just tell Oh you love him, but that would have been dishonest.
It's also lovely to watch a Thai show that was filmed in another place. Watching other dramas you might start to believe Bangkok is the only place where people live in all of Thailand. The scenery is just great, sometimes I'm torn between watching the gorgeous leads or the beautiful scenery.

This show is so well done, the cinematography is so *chef kiss*, the story is REALLY so well written, the acting is so damn good that you would never guess this was the first lead role for the main cast, the music is undeniable one of the superior things about this show, in my life I’ve never heard music in Thai, after the show, I can’t stop listening to the osts on repeat, I feel like i know the fully lyrics now, I mean..,the show has won many awards in Thailand and outside the country for a reason…Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Amazing!
Since I started watching Thai BLs, I haven't shed a single tear, but with this one, I lost count on how many times I cried.Let me start talking about the technical part of the series.
From the beautiful scenery to the plot/acting. Wow… I have never seen a Thai BL like this. Every shot, every color, every little detail, every music… Everything was very well thought out and chosen. It is no surprise that it is being nominated and winning several awards not only in Thailand.
Each scene matched the acting, the setting, the music, and the clothes. I was speechless. This project deserves to be sold internationally, should be on Netflix in other countries. Come on LineTV…
The team behind this project must be very proud. You can see that they believe in it for the passion, the dedication that they put there.
The script was very well developed and the actors delivered the scene as expected. I can also add that it was the only Thai BL where the entire cast performed in sync.
Generally, the second season of BLs is always a problem and I know from the original team only 1 writer remained on the project and P’Boss stayed on as producer and not as director.
