delightful balance of sweet and spicy
Love in the Air is a delightful Thai BL drama that effectively balances two central romantic relationships. Unlike many multi-couple dramas that struggle with pacing or character development, Love in the Air seamlessly integrates the storylines of Rain/Payu and Pai/Sky, providing a satisfying narrative for both pairs. The series boasts impressive cinematography and well-executed intimate scenes, particularly between Rain and Payu. It's refreshing to see a school-based drama that genuinely focuses on academic pursuits and extracurricular activities, rather than treating them as mere backdrops. Love in the Air blends the story of Pit Babe (with lesser make love scenes) with the competitive spirit of My School President.
While the drama excels in many areas, it does have a few minor flaws. The jealous tendencies of the couples, especially after their feelings are established, can sometimes feel repetitive. Additionally, the repeated initial scene could have been edited more effectively.
Of the two couples, Pai and Sky's storyline is particularly compelling, with Sky's sassy demeanor and Pai's emotional depth creating a captivating dynamic. The assault scene involving Sky could have been handled with more emotional impact, but the overall narrative remains engaging.
While some supporting characters, like the racing boss, could have been introduced more thoroughly, the kidnapping scene, though predictable, doesn't significantly detract from the overall enjoyment. Pai and Payu's relationship offers valuable insights into the challenges of navigating a relationship with an overthinker and overly assuming partner.
Overall, Love in the Air is a well-crafted drama that effectively balances multiple storylines, offers engaging characters, and provides a satisfying viewing experience.

The series was okay but a bit weird
I honestly liked it only because of Fort and Peat. The story itself wasn’t bad but the acting was kinda cringy especially from Boss. The spicy scenes were enjoyable but when it came to Payu and Rain i felt really weird. Im not hating on the actors, i really like em but they did Boss and Noeul dirty.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

People can change
This Series is one of the first dramas that got me into Thai BL's in the first place. It created a sensual yet caring environment, showing that people can change overtime.for example, the story between P' Pai and Sky felt really lustful at first, showing P' pai only wanted Sky for sex, But overtime, P' pai gradually grew fond of Sky, showing care for Sky as he comforted him throughout his problems.
another example was with P' payu and Rain, whom - frankly enough - met in the rain when Rain's car breaks down. The two end up in P' Payu's room, and P' Payu pushes Rain onto the bed, which Rain - obviously confused and Flustered - Tries to escape. Later on, P' payu becomes more caring towards Rain, Catching him standing outside his house one time in the rain and immediately Running up to him, worried about him.
Overall, this Series told me that People can change overtime. If you meet someone for the first time, their opinions on you will change overtime. This series is a 10 from me !

Not perfect........but close
I will definitely rewatch this drama.....however as good as it was it wasn't perfect. I will begin with some of the things I enjoyed though and go from there.- Phayu's character was definitely, only to be underscored when I realised this was Boss's first drama (I mean wow the boy can act). The character was multi faceted and nicely balanced. Yes, he was pushy at times but he never went over the line, even though the writers did blur the line at times, when Rain made his stand clear. I enjoyed it greatly.
- The chemistry between the cast was amazing. not just between the couples but between the friends. they couldn't have chosen a better cast for this, you could really tell that the 4 leads got along brilliantly.
- The supporting cast were great, not one of the supporting roles let it down, they all acted well and bought something to the table, making the world richer.
- the cinematography was fantastic, with the bike races, the school and even the two showdowns (of Phayu in the warehouse and Prapai in his condo), you can tell they put some effort into it.
- the story worked together well. Originally its from 2 separate books but they managed to link the main cast in such a way that the story followed on without too much of hitch.
What i didn't like about it mainly comes down to 2 points.
- Prapai's character is set up at the beginning as a bad boy racer but soon becomes a pushover who has that edge taken off him. They managed to keep the edge on the phayu character while making the relationship work, and yes the sky/prapai relationship is different. But changing this confident, bad boy into a love strewn pushover, just changed the characters base idea too much for me.
-The plot. Now i mentioned I liked how they melded the two stories into one earlier, and I did. What I didn't like so much is the execution of it. The series is 13 episodes long (not counting the special episode) and it is basically spilt into almost 2 mini series. 7 episodes where phayu and rain are the leads, and prapai and sky are the second couple, then ep 8 onwards as Prapai/sky as the main cp with phayu/rain as the secondary leads. It even changed the theme music halfway through as well as the credits, and you begin again with the story (admittedly not for long). It just didn't work for me, I felt there were better ways they could have done it.
Over all though it was a great show and one I will definitely be revisiting. It is worth a watch if you like BL dramas.
However a warning...........It earns its 18+ rating!

Midly enjoyable thanks to Pai's smile
This drama consists in two different parts telling the story of two different couples. The first one is so cringe I felt it down my skin. The actors are not to blame, but the no-sense dialogues, the cringey lines. Rain is such a kid, he's basically the classic bimbo waiting for a daddy to take care of him. And I HATED that. Sometimes he says stuff - mostly sexual innuendos - that are just too cringey to be true (ex. ep 7 where he says "P' Payu is the only one who can screw me" to the one who just kidnapped him). Let's not forget the "punishment" scene where Payu smacked Rain's butt: no, it was not anything bdsm, they were not in any kind of relationship, they were basically strangers. What's wrong with the author? That's called assault.
I don't even know what kept me from dopping this - maybe the chemistry was good enough to save the almost-whole thing.
I enjoyed the second part the most. We still have the chasing-concept (almost stalking at some point), but we can see the effort Pai put in gaining Sky's trust. Their relationship started in the most toxic way, but it ended up with a clamorous character development from both sides and I enjoyed it the most. We can see how Pai cares a lot about Sky, how he really wants to take care of him despite his first intention to just get laid with him. And I really enjoyed that. The actors did a great job.
Still, the flaws were in the script. I mean. Sky's trauma is showed just when necessary to create some drama. You shouldn't talk about sexual assault if you're going to take that easily - this was troublesome.
Another HUGE problem of this latest part is the sound problem: music sometimes is louder than the dialogues, the phone-calls are just cringe when you can hear the voice on the phone LOUDER than the voice of the actor on the screen.
In the end, what I'll remember dearly of this drama is Pai's smile. That is the cutest.

Nothing to “ride” home about.
This was actually the first BL I watched and while waiting for the rest of the Eps, I managed to binge a few others over the past few weeks and boy, am I glad I did.Things felt disjointed and I think that came from the imbalanced set-up of telling two different relationship stories one after another instead of intertwining them. There are very few instances in dramas where this technique works, but I think it’s fair to say that this is a great example of how the technique behaved more like a magnifying glass, illuminating the flaws of the plot itself.
The style in which the story was told wasn’t too bad. It was visually appealing, had the aesthetics to portray the racing world of Prapai and Phayu and some decent music choices for the more “iconic” scenes. The problem I had was with the “flow” of plot and with certain dialogue that was (not) used. Personally, I felt that they tried to tackle too many obstacles and because of this, we got very surface level solutions/responses from the characters. This did such a disservice to the character’s growth and progress of the plot, because they essentially had to rush over certain topics that, in my opinion, should never be rushed or overlooked.
It’s an easy watch that, in pretence, puts plasters on gaping wounds, but besides some of the steamy scenes and eye candy, in terms of the plot, it’s your typical ‘Wattpad’ story as another MDLer* so nicely put it! ;)

A good show, but definitely not for the faint of heart.
I just want to make it clear that there's a very strong 18+ warning on this show. Not only are there multiple non-con scenes but some of the later episodes go pretty in depth about abuse etc. If you can't handle more controversial shows then this one probably isn't for you, but if that doesn't bother you then this series is definitely worth it.The intimacy between the two couples was very well written and didn't feel forced at all. The chemistry flowed really naturally, probably thanks to talented actors. The trope of a confident guy going after a shy naive guy is pretty overused in this genre but this show managed to pull it off really well. Their personalities bounced really well off of each other and a lot of moments in the show felt very endearing and sweet.

An attempt of a light BL version of Fast and the Furious, with two almost identical story lines.
Although not a big fan of cars, bikes and races, I am a big fan of Fast and the Furious. So obvious I liked this one. It's far from perfect, but definitely worth watching and enjoyable. Perhaps I should also state here, that I am always after BL series, which leave behind a little bit some of the clichés of high-school/college romance and move on to more adult territories. In fact, I find it nice, if the genre does not solely revolve around the relationship(s). Having said so, however, this is still the case here, were we watch two couples forming, but at least the back bone stories are somehow different.Things I liked:
The acting was decent, the emotional development of all people noteworthy, and dealing with a sensitive subject, namely abusive relationships in someone's past. In particular the last one was nicely handled, in that the focus was not on the abuse itself (just rare flashes and memories), but how the person learns to slowly go on. Some skin is shown, but (at least for my personal taste), not out of proportion. Sleeping with your loved one is finally part of a couple's life.
Things I did not like:
The series consists of practically two seasons. In episodes 1-7 we follow one couple and in the rest another. Although the couples coexist, in their out-of-focus episodes, they are reduced to even less than supportive roles. From what I understand these are indeed two different novels. I really think, that the development of both should progress in parallel, so that it would feel more natural.
Both couples are very similar: the older dominant, rich and clearly more masculine biker pursuing, and the younger more delicate freshman "politely" refusing until finally convinced - they live happily ever after - the end. This is actually quite a bore, although saved by the honest evolving of the characters. Also both stories have an underworld problem to solve (different for each one), which although per se is good, it has two flaws. The one is that the incidents are injected in the story severely out-of-the-blue and do not really contribute to the plot, except for the ensuing "thank you for saving me, I love you" line. The other is that the template of how they are used (even time-wise) are practically identical in both storylines, making the second one extremely predictable and thus boring (OK the first was also predictably, but at least not a repetition within the same series).
In summary: A pleasant BL series, with some twist and a nice character development. Nothing particularly new, but nothing boring either. It's a nice series to watch.

Sky's storyline was much better executed
Phayu’s and Rain’s story was meh, but they had crazy sexual tension and the chemistry was through the roof. the plot was a bit sloppy, and it still bothers me that they never actually got to /know/ each other. Sky and Prapai were sooo cute tho 🥺 sky had me almost crying with his story, and their development didn't feel rushed at all; they also got to know each other and I loved that, it felt more real. However, I do think that sky’s ex coming back and traumatizing sky was completely unnecessary (typical Mame’s show 🙄), and Sky’s trauma should be treated. Sure, he found true love with Prapai, but love is not enough to heal the wound that something like what sky had gone through leaves on people. It would've been so much better if they mentioned at the end that Sky was seeing a therapist, and that he was feeling better bc of that. Overall, I liked the show, and Sky's and Prapai’s arc was much better than phayu's and rain's in my opinion.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
The story line/Characterization was not prioritized
I usually enjoy these kinda series. But somehow, I didnt like this one. I dropped the series after 6 episodes. So this review is based on those 6 episodes. I know a lot of people are loving this series. I am not posting this to hurt anyone's feelings. This is just my opinion and rating.Pros:
1. This series has a lot of handsome faces just like any other BL. It is very aesthetically pleasing.
2. A lot of romantic fluff scenes.
3. Great chemistry between the main characters.
Cons:
1. The story line was not well developed or not prioritized. Sometimes, It feels like watching the same episode again and again.
2. I felt like they overdid the fluffs. The fluffs are the cutest romantic scenes we usually feel like watching again and again. But the fluffs in this series were not realistic and they were over romanticized. It gave me second hand embarrassment and i skipped through most of them.
3. I loved the actors who played P'Payu and Rain. But the characterization of their characters were under developed. A lot of loop holes were there in the characterization and the plot.
4. This series is filled with Fanservice and nothing else. Fanservice is important. But it should come in between the story not instead of the story. We loved the fanservice in Tharntype and Kinnporsche because they had some story to backup the romance. But this series didnt have any standard plot.
5. Explicit sexist, homophobic, Anti-LGBT dialogues and scenes. Too many Red Flags and toxicities.
Overall, I would give a rating of 3/10. ( Please give it a try before deciding, you may like it.)

Guilty pleasure
This BL is definetly a guilty pleasure show for me. I watch it for the insanely good chemistry between both couples, the kisses and the sex scenes. The acting is overall okay, but I especially love Noeul as Rain, he does an awesome job for his very first role!
That were the good things, now moving on to the bad....
The story is dumb and just build around all the hot scenes. Seriously, the plot is just there to have an excuse for hot men feeling each other up on a regular basis, but that's the case for a lot of BLs and I'm not complaining.
The real issue is once again all the non-con elements and scenes in the show. I don't know why the industry is so obsessed with the image of the forcing somebody to "love" with literally sexual harassment. Both Payu and Prapai are hella pushy, manipulative und forceful jerks and especially in Payus case toe the line to assault (Payus and Rains bathroom scene... dude.). Nobody in real life would let them behave like that, no matter how handsome they are and it made me really uncomfortable at times.
Their behaviour get's better, once they managed to make their "ukes" fall in love with them, but that doesn't make up for them being assholes beforehand.
So yeah... I'm not proud of it, but I'm gonna continue watching and try to switch my brain off outside of the love scenes :D
