The music was perfect.

That's the only thing I can certainly say that people should/would not argue about; the music was perfect. Every track fit the drama so well, and whenever Standing Egg's 'Not Clumsy Anymore' came on my eyes would tear up. It's such a beautiful song (♡ω♡ ) ~♪ and the song that JH sings for MJ is called 'Joys of Love/Happiness of Love/사랑의 기쁨' (Hope I spelt it correctly in Korean*)

The acting was good, but ON MY GOODNESS WERE THOSE KISSES STIFF AS HECK! IDK what was going through her head, but whenever Ji Woo got close to Hyeon Ju, you could see her freeze up. She was an immovable object. I hated their kisses ಠ︵ಠ

I would not rewatch this, unless someone can tell me every scene that 'NCA' played, then I'd make compilations for me to enjoy (~ ̄³ ̄)~

Don't watch the drama if you're just here for a certain actor. Unless you really enjoy OSTs (like I do), there isn't anything I can say to convince y'all to watch and enjoy this. It wasn't a bad drama, but it wasn't great either. You can live life without watching it and listen to the OST for the fun of it.

I really hate to drop it..

With all honesty, the drama was quite fun to watch... but sadly i suffer from second lead syndrome and my weak heart cannot bear to watch another episode of it... with a heavy sigh i just quit watching it... though i really really love the parents... i can no longer torment myself...
But if you dont suffer from SLS... give it a try... its super hilarious and entertaining !!!
Although the concept of the drama was a little off... (in a nutshell, dwelling in our past is a big no... by doing so, we missed out what's in the present...) i could let this slide bec its really funny... but my SLS attack me.... bigtime!!!
I just wish baby bro was not that lovable then maybe i could have finished it...

DISGURSTING SHAT

It seemed promising at first: the cast & the plot were so my style. The first episodes were really fresh and funny and that 'past lives' element made everything more intriguing, even though that was cilché.
There were mainly 3 things that went wrong:
1. The triangle. Too much dragging, I felt like we were watching more the 2nd ML than the 1st in the first half of the drama. But that was still "okay"
2. The female lead. I'm a fan of the actress but her character was just so messed up, it wasn't consistent! First episodes: grown-ass, indipendent woman "I'll never marryyy". FeW mOmEnTs LaTeR: passive woman, hasn't a chatacter whatsoever AND she falls in love in a blink of an eye, I mean- wHo ArE yOu?
3. The ROMANCE. OK, so this had to be the best thing in a drama where you talk about *destiny*, this could have been the most romantic love story ever but noOOo, they messed everything up! They had no chemistry and ugh, their moments were so, so, so cringe to watch omg.

TRASH.

I tried, I really tried because I don't like dropping dramas and I love the soulmate concept BUT

The plot is boring, slow & cliched with no substance. Sure they are soulmates who share past lives but what else do they have in common other than that? Show me their bond not just tell me that they are meant to be because of their past lives. I think I maybe would have accepted this story more if the writers would have made e feel why they are falling for each other. Watching the ML & FL's scenes just left me feeling empty, their love story is empty.

Plus the ML is as bland as watching paint dry and the leads have no chemistry whatsoever. I gave it 14 episodes to change my mind and it just couldn't cut it. The only good thing is the cast and Park Do Gyum's character other than that- unless you're a big fan of the cast don't waste your time on this.

Honestly when something makes you angry when you watch an episode then it's time to say goodbye.

LOOKS LIKE I'VE SEEN THIS SCENE BEFORE

Being attached in the past life that makes you decide how your current living goes. You don't want the ill-fated events from the past to take place again in today's life. And does it mean if you love someone in your previous lives that recalls in your current life... you must love him as well? Forever in every reincarnation? That's how everyone describes... DESTINY, FATE, MEANT TO BE, SOULMATES or blah blah. For me, it's overdone as its concept alone.

The amount of bromance here looks forced. Its video effects make me cringe. I don't think it's rare for dramas with "man rumored as gay". LIKE SERIOUSLY CLICHE TROPES EVERYWHERE. Childhood friend falls for FL and she only sees him as his "little brother". AWW, THAT'S SO NEW! There's also this annoying girl... but not falling for the ML this time— What's only interesting for me the reincarnated woman happened to be born older than the reincarnated lovers. And another love triangle—

Fillers, fillers, fillers. Boring fillers. I can skip half an hour in every episode and still can understand what's going on. The writer is capable of creating a surprise conflict for the ML and FL to be together or whatsoever. Seemed already a pantser's work.

Hwang Jung Eum. I have issues with her. I don't even know if I liked her in Mystic Pop-up Bar (my first drama of her). Is it her acting or aura? Both? Hmm... First, I don't understand why people disliked her. Now I know why. And her chemistry with the ML? I've never shipped even the second male lead with her. Why did I even reach almost half-way of the series? I'm not here for romance development... I just want to see how will this drama disappoint me for good. But I don't think I can go on...

it's good

honestly why say it's bad or boring it was entertaining to me. we got a strong FL that's against marriage and i like that anyway i get that she has weak moments but they are all justifiable furthermore she didn't cave into the pressure to get married to ML.

for me this drama is a 10 out of 10 the plot got me on my toes heck i was thinking ML was a sadist or a psycho like and bruh they slowly reveal everything and i mean slowly. if they didn't reveal everything slowly how the heck you expect to get a drama

I have no problem with this the FL sticking to what she wants which is not getting married heck other FL would jump on the frecking train to get married. furthermore, FL is very career orient like bruh every female know that once married in reality everything change and this drama shows that with the other characters too. the characters that show that marriage life isn't all that are the FL two married friends one the housewife and the other divorced wife.

also, FL may have the CEO as her man but mind you. she didn't make him go all out to buy her anything except for a job and she didn't need him to save her she found evidence mind you without ML help. this drama i like it more and more as we get down to it cause it's what independent women want to see in a show, not some damsel in distress and some shitty prince charming or CEO coming to the rescue to save their ass.

don't think i don't hate anything in this drama because there is one thing i don't get FL to have evidence so why the hell did they make it look like CEO save her by giving up his position that shit i hate. they trying to make the ML seem important like burh get over that shit where a woman needs a man's help to save her own ass and this FL has evidence to save her ass ML was the one that stop her.

the ending is basically where he tells people that they ain't getting married but instead do live in with each other also people that do live in wear couple rings. A couple ring and wedding rings are different couple rings are matching pairs of rings and a wedding ring is where the female ring has a diamond on them. furthermore, the ending is not a wedding because they got no priest there they just telling people how they will treat others in the live-in relationship that they gonna be in. heck in the drama FL said they want people to know how they will live with each other without marriage.

at this point, people hate this drama for some odd reason but i like it guess our perspectives are different on this drama

Is there a way that two people can just love each other all their lives and not end up in marriage?

Have you ever met somebody you are drawn to for no reason at all? As they say, there is someone in this world destined to be our partner in a lifetime..in another lifetime or the other.

Do you think past lives are real? Stuck in the nightmare of their past, two people who remembered their past lives because of an accident 27 years ago again met in the present time. Fate or destiny is something Korean culture is obsessed with or perhaps its not only them but every person in this world. The idea that somewhere in the world, there is somebody meant for each of us.

Genre-wise it's a refreshing breath of fresh air from the usual rom-com and relationship-dramas genre. As it touches on opinions about marriage, family, staying single but wanting to have kids which I believe raises a lot of eyebrows in Korean society.

Part of the plot is challenging the ever imminent Korean culture and stand on marriage. Our FL Hyun Joo (Hwang Jun Eum) here totally challenges that. From the very beginning, she announced that she wants to stay married to herself. Our ML Ji Woo (played by Yoon Hyun Min) on the other hand, married our female lead in all three past lives and yet all 3 ended up in a tragedy.

If the antagonist in a story stirred emotions like anger and distraught, she/he must be effective in that role just like the villain here in the story. This is how I feel about Seon Hee in the first parts of the series.

The story is funny at one point, especially the bromance. The romance and kisses were sweet but legit. Hyun Min definitely knows how to kiss!

There are slow moments in the story to the point that I abhor impatience towards Ji Woo. I was screaming and wishing he would spring into action to build suspense and thrill to the whole episode. Luckily, I didn’t give up and continued watching. You should too.

Also, there are some episodes with epilogues, so try to stay until the end per episode so as not to miss out on them.

Wasted premise and the cast.

Honestly speaking, almost nothing worked out in this drama. The idea behind it was truly good, but it was never explored enough, not to mention contradicting messages. Your female lead cannot at the same time change her mind about the ML based on their past life, but also be firm about the past being just the past, and her not being the past version of herself (wording might be confusing, sorry).

While the whole cast did a good job portraying the characters, there was no chemistry between them. I did not care about the main couple, I did not get second lead syndrome - they all just did not work well together to create some sparks on the screen.

One thing I definitely did like about the show though was the female lead. Out of all Hwang Jung Eum’s characters, this one was quite fun. While she made some dumb decisions, all characters in dramas do - It's inevitable.

Another thing that the drama did well was showcasing how marriage is not the only happy ending one can get, and not the only end for a couple that loves each other. Respecting each other’s individuality is an important part of a happy life too.

Sadly, the stakes for the present story were not that high. It’s hard to care about the broken romance between the main characters, when the thing they are trying to prevent is Hyun Joo getting sued. Compare it to death, torture and jail in their past life, it falls short. Not to mention the ridiculousness of Kim Seon Hee’s character. You just don’t try to get your daughter married to the reincarnation of your crush.

So many plot lines, all so boring. The conflicts and problems created for the main couple were truly not that hard to solve, which led me to rolling my eyes, when they made it into a bigger mess than it was.

Was the show beautifully shot? Was it pleasant to the eye? Yes, but at this point, this is a standard in kdramas and not enough to make drama good, interesting, entertaining and worth the watch.

The soundtrack was a rather generic rom-com style. I did enjoy Motte’s So Much Into You, which had a nice sweet sound to it, but that’s the only sound that caught my attention.

Overall, not really worth your time. The only reason I finished it was to find out how ridiculous the plot will be with the mediocre motivation from the villain.

A great romantic comedy to pass the time !

*SPOILERS ALERT*

Well I was hesitant to watch this at first because of the rating and comments here but I really liked it in the end ! It's not the first time that I end up liking shows with "bad rating" on MDL so I'm not really surprised ^^'

I'm a sucker for the reincarnation trope so it hit me right in the feels ! The amount of longing and angst was perfect and it had many funny moments too (especially the female lead's parents they were awesome ! I really liked her friends and coworkers too) I didn't have any second lead syndrome so it was a bonus point, even if he was quite funny and interesting as a character I couldn't help but root for the main lead. It's true that the main lead seems cold and stone-faced at first but his character development soon shows that he's in fact quite funny and gentle.

Sadly I was a little more perplexed with the female lead. I don't know if it was due to the actress or the character (it felt like her character here was a copy and paste from her role in Lucky romance) but I had some trouble understanding her, especially in the last episodes. I mean I could totally understand her perplexity and anger when coming face to face with a man she dosen't know (at least in this present life) who made her fired from her last job, because he apparently had feellings for her and wanted to be close to her (I can honestly say that if it happened in real life to me I would have been freaked out too) so I can understand the slow building of their relationship. I loved it even because I'm a sucker for longing, especially when it comes from the male lead xD BUT why make the 2 last episodes entirely focus on the "marriage VS not marriage" talk ? Maybe the writers didn't have anymore ideas to fill up the last episodes but at least make it make sense ! I coud understand her if she thought that getting married will lead to tragedy again (like some sort of superstition) and I honestly think marriage is essentially just paperwork nowadays : you can totally live with someone without getting married, have children if that's what you want and be happy like that. But then why make them exhange couple rings and have them organize a ceremony in front of their family and friends ? With the flowers, the clothes, the promise, the kiss ? I don't know I felt like it was in disagreement with the whole "marriage isn't necessary to be happy" talk, that's why the last 2 episodes lost me a little. I also thought that the actress was a little too stiff in kissing scenes but it's a recurrent problem in dramaland it seems.

Moreover I would have liked it better if we had an insight in the male lead's family. We met his mother at the beginning of the drama then she disappears entirely. We learn that he has 2 older brothers at the end, but that's it, the show doesn't offer more info on them. It was a little disappointing to not show the 2 families encounter each other, I think it would have been better to dedicate maybe episode 15 or 16 at this but that's just my personal preference and it dosen't mean that I didn't enjoy watching this drama ^^

I also liked the fact that the female lead works as a webtoons' producer, it was a little different and I liked all the glimpses at the authors working (especially the young female author who works on 18+ webtoons she was hilarious haha) and the OST was pretty great too !

Not on my rewatch list

OMG - watched this because I love the actors in it. Disappointed greatly at the way modern thinking presented in media today has turned our culture where a sacred union called marriage between 2 people has been turned into living however you like because “love doesn’t last”. What a farce!!!! Hate to break it to you people but Love is NOT A FEELING it’s an Active decision that we CHOOSE TO DO. Laying down our own selfish desires for that of the other person. This generation today need to wake up and realise how far we’ve come from the sacred union of loving each other for the other person’s sake into the complete and utter self-centred way if life today. The wonder why they’re never happy. You can’t be happy while living selfishly.

.

The key here is to approach this drama with tempered expectations. Its primary driving forces lie within a heavy love triangle and a big play on "memories from past lives". If you can't tolerate either elements then maybe you should skip it.

However, what stood out the most to me is who wrote this drama. I noticed that, this writer, across her other previous projects, she harbors a discernible aversion towards the institution of marriage, a sentiment that seems to have a deeply personal resonance for her. This notion was amplified even further in this particular drama. She took it even further by carrying her agenda across all of the side couples blatantly. Speaking of agendas and taking things personal, this writer really likes to shove her owns while disregarding its effect on the coherency. Another example, the whole ordeal with both male leads at the beginning. There were other examples as well.

While any writer is entitled to hold any opinions or take a stance on social matters they want, it can become a headache and burdensome when these viewpoints are overtly thrust upon the audience without contributing anything substantial to the broader conversation. They just end up shouting into an echo chamber eventually.

The final episode, unfortunately, proved to be an insufferably superficial culmination of the drama.

It was a good romantic comedy series

It was a good romantic comedy series. The absence of the boy's family in the series was very felt. Regarding the ending, it went according to the theme of the series. I thought it was reasonable. The storyline of the series revolved around previous lives and I think it was a good series in this sense.

Spoiler
Because the girl did not get married in her previous lives or at least she did not have a stable marriage, it was logical that she would not get married in this life either. Similarly, the series examined modern relations in Korea. Out of four friends, one was married and had a normal life. One of them was single and wanted to have a child. One had two partners and Hyun Joo didn't want to get married either. In this sense, the story went logically
