"Grades aren't important. Being healthy and safe is."

To the person who thought of that trash ending, you need to go. It wasn't bad, but it was pretty unexpected and I never thought it turned out the way it did. I would switch people's deaths for other people if I could. But I love the interactions between the students, WHAT I WOULD GIVE TO HAVE CLASS LIKE THIS. I would like a season 2 just to elaborate on the ending, no need to add more. I dare say this show was better than Squid Game-

Nam On Jo should've, in all honesty, be a supporting character. I guess she was important because of her dad saving them or whatever, but I mean she really could have been the supporting character. Lee Cheong San...AH I LOVE HIM. He's best friend material, I do not care what anyone else says. I loved it when he pushed Lee Na Yeon because of what she did. Speaking of her, I hated her, don't get me wrong. But what Yoon Gwi Nam did to her was a little too much, she was actually trying to do better. He was...I don't know I felt off about him the whole show I didn't like most of the things he did, sorry. Choi Nam Ra was a good character, I liked how she was class president, but nobody apparently listened to her just because her mom was someone important. Lee Soo Hyeok was a little too clingy over Nam Ra, and now that I think about it, so was On Jo. He kept trying to say "If you want to do it, do it to me" or whatever. On Jo kept trying to be the hero and kept telling her the same thing. People, stop telling her before she actually does it. I loved Yang Dae Soo, I think he was the class's binding person, he got along with virtually everyone. Jang Woo Jin and Oh Joon Young are hot, I don't care what anyone says. I mean in general the only ones I didn't like were the adults, except for On Jo's dad, and that funny detective. That detective, Song Jae Ik is hot and funny, he's literally me.

Acting was really on fire. hope we can get season 2. yihyun was my fav actress in school 2021 for her i started to watch the show but later on the four become my fav . I will never forget this master piece. The way they protect their friends from zombies, they
sacrificed them selves for saving their loved ones. Tears rolling my eyes.....I cant ....when cheongsan confessed his love to on jo tears cant stop flowing my years. She realized only the last moment. But is all good. finally i want to say that this is awsome.

Students Fight For Their Lives Inside Of A School Overrun By Zombies

In spite of all the horror and struggle for survival, there is still room for the heart in "All of Us Are Dead." While not specific to South Korean culture, it's unsurprising that the story was born in South Korea, a country where the brutal educational system exposes youth to immense pressure. The demand for high performance is among the highest globally. Bullying often becomes an outlet for stress, leaving the bullied doubly burdened. Other escapes include withdrawal, drugs, or even suicide. South Korean society largely turns a blind eye or remains helpless against this. The pressure to succeed, along with the psychological suffering of the young, is seen as an inevitable cost of nationwide (and global economic) competition. As a result, youngsters are left alone to navigate this merciless world. This scenario, perhaps less blatantly, is familiar to youth in many countries worldwide.

This is where "All of Us Are Dead" makes its mark with its impressive and striking portrayal. The original title, which translates to "Currently at Our School," focuses on the school and its students. The horror of everyday school life, which varies in intensity for different individuals, escalates into a universal horror. A desperate father attempts to help his suicidal son confront his bullies through a dangerous experiment that goes awry. The resulting vicious, zombie-like virus spreads throughout the city and beyond, necessitating disaster control, a state of emergency, and martial law. Despite these measures, the young people are once again left to fend for themselves in their existential crisis.

The storytelling and depiction of various group and relationship dynamics among the young characters showcase high-end KDrama quality—intense, powerful, sensitive, and excellent. The narrative's strength lies in this aspect, making it worth watching.

The drama also parallels the global struggle during the Covid pandemic. When established rules are overridden, individuals in power—whether arbitrary or scientifically based, rational or irrational, often driven by fear—make decisions from a safe distance. Quickly, individual concerns are overshadowed by the bigger picture.

"All of Us Are Dead" is a demanding KDrama in multiple respects. Despite the horror and survival struggle, there is still room for emotional depth. However, the show also features a virus turning people into flesh-eating zombies. The abundance of screaming, rattling, biting, and blood-smeared zombie scenes, lacking aesthetic appeal, is integral to the story. The drama is brutal, catering to the international zeitgeist and staged accordingly for the global Netflix audience. While the brutal details and zombie screen time could be less prominent, fans of the genre appreciate this aspect.

From the first moment I watched "All of Us Are Dead," I was hooked. The intensity and emotional depth of the series were unlike anything I had experienced before. As someone who enjoys a well-crafted story with strong character development, this KDrama delivered on all fronts. The way it delved into the psychological and emotional struggles of the characters, set against the backdrop of a zombie apocalypse, was both captivating and heart-wrenching.

One of the most compelling aspects of the show was its portrayal of the South Korean educational system and the immense pressure it places on students. The opening scenes of the series highlight the daily struggles of the students as they navigate their way through school life, dealing with bullying, academic pressure, and personal issues. This realistic depiction of the students' lives before the outbreak made their subsequent fight for survival even more poignant.

The character dynamics in "All of Us Are Dead" were a standout feature for me. Each character had a unique background and set of motivations, which added depth to the story. The way the series explored the relationships between the students, their teachers, and their families created a rich tapestry of human connections. I found myself deeply invested in the characters' fates, rooting for their survival and mourning their losses.

The series also did an excellent job of highlighting the societal issues faced by South Korean youth. The themes of bullying, mental health, and the pressures of academic performance were woven seamlessly into the narrative. These issues were not just used as plot devices but were integral to the characters' development and the story's progression. It was a stark reminder of the real-world challenges faced by young people in South Korea and many other countries.

As the zombie virus spread, the series shifted into high gear, delivering some of the most intense and thrilling scenes I have ever seen. The portrayal of the outbreak's chaos, the students' desperate attempts to survive, and the authorities' struggle to contain the virus was executed with precision and skill. The series maintained a relentless pace, keeping me on the edge of my seat from start to finish.

The parallels between the fictional outbreak and the real-world Covid pandemic were impossible to ignore. The series' depiction of quarantine measures, the spread of the virus, and the fear and uncertainty experienced by the characters resonated deeply with my own experiences during the pandemic. It was a powerful reminder of the fragility of our world and the importance of resilience and hope in the face of adversity.

In terms of production quality, "All of Us Are Dead" was top-notch. The cinematography, special effects, and makeup were all outstanding, creating a visually stunning and immersive experience. The zombie scenes, while brutal and graphic, were a testament to the show's commitment to authenticity and realism. The attention to detail in the portrayal of the virus and its effects on the human body was both impressive and horrifying.

Despite the horror and gore, the series never lost sight of its emotional core. The moments of humanity and compassion between the characters provided a much-needed counterbalance to the relentless violence. The scenes of friendship, sacrifice, and love were some of the most memorable and impactful moments in the series. These emotional beats made the characters' struggles feel real and grounded, allowing me to connect with them on a deeper level.

The ending of "All of Us Are Dead" left a lasting impression on me. Without giving away any spoilers, I can say that it was a fitting conclusion to a story that was as much about human resilience as it was about survival. The final scenes were both heartbreaking and hopeful, leaving me with a sense of closure and satisfaction.

In conclusion, "All of Us Are Dead" was an unforgettable experience for me. It combined intense action, emotional depth, and thought-provoking themes to create a truly exceptional KDrama. The series not only entertained but also offered a powerful commentary on the pressures faced by young people in South Korea and beyond. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, from the thrill of the chase to the heartbreak of loss, and it left me eagerly anticipating more from this talented team of creators. For anyone looking for a high-quality drama that goes beyond the typical zombie fare, "All of Us Are Dead" is a must-watch.

To be honest, I don't understand how there as many negative reviews on this as there is.

I personally finished this series in a few days and it was a new look on 'zombies'. It kept me wanting more by the end of each episode. Take for granted that the first 2-3 episodes were a bit slow, but once it got up and running, it kept me wanting more.

Of course with any zombie or horror movie, you're sitting there and thinking "what are you doing?!" and you think that the characters choices are so stupid. I love a good zombie movie or series where they actually acknowledge that there are zombies. The characters aren't clueless to what a zombie is and they have good strategies.

I think that Cheong San should have lived and On-Jo's dad. After everything they went through, only for them to wind up dead in the end really got me. Gwi Nam was on a whole other level with the determined mission to kill Cheong San. It's like he became 'immortal' and then he was just so intent on getting revenge. He was a bully, even in a zombie apocalypse he was still determined to be finish off as a bully.

I also found to be really funny that 3 characters who wind up being asymptomatic are characters with no real purpose. I mean, Nam Ra wound up being a good character in the end, but what about the other strong characters? You have Gwi Nam, which was just a bully who apparently deserved to been immune to actually becoming a zombie. Then you had the girl who was being bullied. Only for her to wind up being a total nuisance in the end. A few characters I found there was no real purpose to them, except to maybe add a little bit more of a story. The assemblywoman was a bit confusing to me as I found there to be no real use to her character.

All Of Us Are Dead (2022) - for me it's interesting at first but then I was lost with what's the purpose or reason why I'm watching it, I realized this sentiment somewhere in the middle of the drama and for the sake to at least finished it has just become my motivation to continue watching. It’s extravagant in all aspects of the drama, especially the props and the make up, the set up but there are scenes that is suppose to be emotional but I didn't felt it somehow because I felt that there is something that is lacking. Some of the characters are also not utilized to its full potential that I felt regretful. There are too many characters as well.

Good first season.

All of Us Are Dead is the typical apocalyptic series which this time tells the story of several students and their fight to survive against zombies.

The premise may seem like deja vu but it's really entertaining. Especially since it takes place in a school, and sometimes we are even entitled to comic relief moments. The series really relied on good production, be it the zombies, the gory and violent scenes. As for the script, I mean, it's fictional but it makes sense, through and through.

The characters are so adolescent representation that it's funny, between impromptu jealousies, friendships, enmities, and love, it was human.

I also liked how much the series also describes human stupidity, like this streamer who goes to the zombie zone just to do live and gain likes and subscribers, it represents our time so much, and is sadly too accurate.

I'm not going to write more, I'll finish saying that the series is good and entertaining, I especially hope that a character will make his return, his character might of seemed dull to some, but he was loyal and combative even if quiet. I hope he is transformed like the new species of zombies (which are not really) and that he will perhaps bring more depth and side to his character next season.

Can't wait for season 2.

Not rlly a review. I just want to share my brain juices. I mean, it kind of is a review. But don't take it to seriously.

I was really sad about finishing penthouse because I was trying to take forever to watch it so I could enjoy it some more, however I finally gave in and finished it. Then about 2 days later started watching All of us are dead.

Okay, so I never really bothered watching it when it first came out because I felt like it'd just be some basic zombie show. And at the time (compared to now after finishing penthouse) I wasn't really into all the blood #romancefreak. However, this has definitely expanded my drama needs to the point I will probably start searching for dramas like this. Before I was mainly only into romance (Because I am a hopeless romantic) however somehow, this show, that I finished in under 24 hours, has completely changed my view on everything for what might be forever.

I am seriously in love with Cheongsan that I might cry myself to sleep tonight. The show made me feel a mix of emotions that I cannot describe. From me gripping my chest at the intensity on a Tuesday night, to nearly crying my eyes out to the point I flooded my whole city.

Now personally about the cast, I would like to say they did an excellent job, maybe not as good as what I've seen before, however it was still empressive AND expressive. And ESPECIALLY the actor for Gwinam. I was on the floor shaking. But also, especially with the work of all the zombies. Even if some of it was CGI, (?) I can't imagine all the work it would take. Just imagine all the zombies walking around though. What I liked about the setting of the show is that it kind of made you feel like you were there. I don't know if that is just because sometimes I am very into a show to the point I imagine myself in the show, or if it is just because of the camera work and the use of long shots. For example the perspective of Nayeon when Cheongsan was in the room. And also when they decided to leave the rooftop, it made me want to be there, like experience it. I am a bit off a big horror fan, but I only really played horror GAMES not really watched horror movies other than classics like, i don't know, Annabelle...?

Even though she kind of barely didn't last, Nayeon was probably my favourite character, despite her wrong doings. But to be honest, it made her more likable. Because it kind of separated her from everyone. Like everyone was on one side, except for her. Which I just found interesting. When she died I was kind of upset. Before I started watching the show, I thought she'd be a half zombie, because I just for some reason thought she'd be one so when she died I was kind of upset, like.. I felt like I lied to myself for like 8 episodes. So I had a lot of reflecting. And I was kind of praying that she was just somehow alive in some way, but then when they were going to bomb everything that REALLY? HURT MY FEELINGS? BECAUSE I SAW MY GIRL NAYEON THERE.

Would I watch again? No. I am not putting myself through 12 hours of pain over and over again. Also my attention span is horrible, and near the end, when it wasn't suspenseful as the other episodes, I did kind of get bored and get distracted. To be fair I was speaking to my friend whilst watching it however it was just, not as entertaining as the other episodes.

Honestly I was sad for all the deaths that happened in this show. whether or not I hated them.

I just rlly liked this show

Strong Start

I did NOT expect to watch this drama. The first time I saw the trailer I was terrified and had no intentions of watching it but after my friends pushed me to watch it, I gave in. 15 MINUTES into the drama I was already hooked. The Show was AMAZINGGGG the first 5 episode it was just so addicting. But after that, I guess I could understand why the show was dragging because they had to extend the cast to the military too and less toward the students. I am satisfied by the ending because I thought most of the characters would die and only one would remain but a lot of the characters survived so I was happy about that but some important characters did die and that was really painful. This is a drama you would binge watch in a few days because if you extend it or drag it. It may become boring because this drama starts fast-paced like most netflix thriller dramas. I highly recommend for stress relief because your mind will only be worried about what will happen next in the drama rather than your outside world.

I wanted to rate this with a solid 7.5, because despite me not liking it very much, it was pretty well made. But after thinking about this series for two days and feeling like I wasted my time and I want that time back, I think I can no longer be objective. I HATE THIS. The characters are annoying, the gore is boring and too much, there is no character development, people just die for the shock value like it's common in those zombie apocalypses - but why should I care? The characters weren't likable or relatable to begin with. They gave some characters like the girl's father an important story arc just to end everything in such a pointless way.
So ... the filming is good, the acting is good too. I don't blame the actors for those lifeless characters. I'm pretty sure they were told to act like this. The older actors were pretty disappointing though. I expected more from them. The comment is a mess like my head after watching this pointless series. POINTLESS is the right word I guess.
NOT IMPRESSED.
