Meh
Watch this only if you're bored out of your mind, cause there really isn't all that much happening. And, while sometimes that may be a good thing (see: Because This Is My First Life or A Piece Of Your Mind), it's certainly not in this case. I usually binge watch my dramas in 2-3 days, but actually forgot I was watching this one several times. They hate each other, they like each other, they break up with each other, they get back with each other. Really, you won't be missing out on much if you skip this.
Oh, and the last episode ruined everything the previous 15 had built up to. You could probably guess how, since it seems to be a common kdrama trope.

a huge potential with a terrible ending
If we ignore the ending its one of my best dramas i've ever watched recently. An amazing humor with just the right slice of romance and a wonderful friendship and bond between the cast. I looked forward for wednesday and thursday. The drama started with an amazing humor but unfortunately it became a bit dull towards the end.the good things:
-it really showed the struggles of home owners and made us understand so much more about real estate without making it boring
-the beautiful houses
-ja sung's cocky but super sweet personality once he opens up.
-the amazing chemistry between the two ml that made the romance so much better
-the romance is just the right amount of cheesiness that made me swoon and grin from ear to ear
-the amazing backstories of the ml and also all the support roles
the bad:
-there were a lot of things that should've been introduced in earlier episodes than it is so that made the last two episodes so rushed and bad
-unnecessary breakups, like they're in their 30s and they don't even discuss anything they just break up instantly
-the huge contradiction between the old young won and the one from the last episode, like she told him that she doesn't want anyone to let go of her but she instantly did it
to sum it up, i really loved MMH and if only the ending could've been better i would've definitely gave it a 10/10

Cliché “mandatory separation “ is getting OLD!
I am pretty much used to the tropes in romantic K-dramas. Mayyyyybe the midway “breakup” is explainable (albeit pretty stupid since the ML literally told the FL that he would treat her well and then turns around and breaks up with her with no explanation whatsoever). “Okay”, I say, “there’s enough episodes for them to get back together, whatever, we’ve seen that before”……but then, WHAT THE ? In the last episode? 3 months pass, then 3 years? Unlikely. As if anyone would stay single and what? After that long? I hate how ambiguous the ending was.The writers should have spent more time focusing on building up the FL in how she saves money to afford her own home ( they kinda lost sight of the theme midway through the story when the romance gets involved). No more saving, the ML spends and spends, the FL spends money on soju when the mid breakup happens). After all is said and done, I have to remind myself that the same thing happens in “Because This Is My First Life” (coincidentally the same actress FL): although many people loved BTIMFL, that story also had an unnecessary “obligatory separation” where once the ML and FL get together, FL decides to leave her love “to find herself”……?
I agree with others in that they focused on getting the secondary characters together more than fixing the writing on the main leads.
Overall, I would not recommend if you’re looking for a satisfying ending!

finally FL acheived her dreams indepently
❤ animated intro layout integrated with character highlights.. so thoughtful. some practical side to the story worked well and and plot didn't get too heavy or burdensome. loved the series.I'm soooooo happy with the ending. Finally!!!Female lead did accomplish what she had always wanted to do. Honestly I thought "oh no here we go again the FL is now so happy and comfortable the knight in shinning armor will save the day for her and it did feel like that but they gave it nice twist in last two episode and the conclusion I had hoped for and what the show deserved. After all it's not just romantic story it's story of people dreaming to get their own house. Completely understand their breakup and for 3 years, cause of course it's not possible to live with so much emotional burden next to person you've loved and left and still be able to achieve your dream. I don't agree with the timeline though cause we do see FL struggling while she was in office. so I thought maybe she would need 5years for that.(P.S One thing that I didn't agree with is small part where chief is complaining and drinking with CEO's secretary and sec comments that instead of complaining he tried to learn and hence achieved something. I mean whoa you've got no understanding of the kinds of bosses people get. Even in context to the series I don't think the CEO would have developed any caring side if he had not come across Editor Na won, and second point no body in their right mind divulges trade secret, even to their secretary. It's shown here to glimpse at hardworking side of CEO. In reality to learn from you superiors and to put it in play requires much more hoops to jump. I don't blame Chief editor to be nagger, even though it did annoy me from first episode to last at least he was constant.)

A Comfort Drama
Anyone else may find this drama cliche, but for me, this is a well-written drama. This drama actually encourages people to stand firm on their goals in life. And I know everyone dreams to have their own home too, may it be a physical house or somebody, where they can be who they are, in ups and downs. In romance side, Jung So Min and Kim Ji Seok's chemistry is so good. I find Kim Ji Seok cute here. Their acting is great, and I like how the drama also focus on supporting characters and not only on main leads alone. This drama gives comfort to me. I hope all of us could find our own "home" too.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Unorthodoxy rom-com
While watching the first episode the bgm made me shocked as it was played very well – it made me anticipate the drama to be great. However, as I continuously watched it I got mixed feelings such as hating both main characters' personality. I also lost my interest in watching this as I felt the vibes of the drama titled "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim". I doubted whether I should continue watching it. But then thankfully I continued watching it and it proved to me that I was wrong. It had its own flavor plot-wise, given the fact that it was kinda knowledgeable about houses.Overall you should check this out if you want to watch a rom-com drama that is not cliche. It gave me lots of fun.

How to ruin a wonderful drama within the last 20 minutes
This drama had high potential to get into my list of all-time favorites. Unfortunately, this is an ending gone wrong. The drama contained so many misunderstandings, but I accepted it. I loved the romance between the leads, and I even tolerated the first break-up although it was unnecessary and definitely not needed for the plot (definitely could’ve sorted that issue faster than in 3 episodes). When they got back together? Amazing. Cute Romance, adorable moments. Episode 16, Minute 40 - our female lead decides to break up with him because her father betrayed him and stuff. Bestie, your father hurt him, I get that, but breaking up with him will hurt him even more. Children aren’t responsible for their parents actions!!! And okay, they‘ve broken up (FOR THE DUCKING 2ND TIME) and then a time jump… 3 YEARS. Every side character is happy, living their best life where our leads meet again, and instead of us getting a kiss, all we get is the leads friendly talking like old friends. Bruh? Thank you for NOTHING! Writers, I‘m highly disappointed. I was in a huge kdrama slump and this helped me a lot, because it was really funny and had me laughing out load sometimes and I literally couldn’t stop watching. The comments on viki helped as well. Don’t watch this people, you‘ll only get disappointed by this drama. Wasted potential.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
A strong concept that's let down by the script
This drama had alot of potential, it sets itself up to be heart-warming and uplifting. The concept is solid and the actors do a good job but I feel like the script leaves alot to be desired. There are way too many clichés crammed into one narrative and that makes it feel like theres always something that's left incomplete. Even up until the last episode they introduce new plot points that in my opinion end up detracting from the story and possible relationships that they've attempted to build earlier in the drama. I would still say it's worth a watch if you're a fan on the actors or are looking for something light hearted, just don't expect to truly go on an emotional journey as these moments are never really given room to breath.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Horrible ending
Watched this one to the end and liked it until the last episode. The acting was good but ended up like the second couple's ending more than the main couple. The music was great and loved seeing the different houses of Korea but not worth it in the end. There are some funny moments and some heartfelt moments as well but the ending was not worth it. The last 45 minutes of the last episode left a sour taste and was a big let down. Cute drama until the very last moment. Not worth the time, sadly. One of the family's bottom three.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Light and fluffy romance
Monthly Magazine House (2021)Watch this if you like the classic romcoms kind of Kdramas.

1. Kim ji Suk ?? So hilarious and handsome. His character is an a$$hat at the start but somehow I couldn't get angry at him because he is played by Jisuk. I just know that when he falls for Youngwon it will be hard.
2. Somin's character is a more upbeat version of BIMFL character. Why does she keep playing a poor writer with no home? But she is wonderful and charming.
3. I love all the houses that got featured in every episode and all the tidbits about home and money saving. My fave was the beach house.
4. Great supporting cast.. they were so funny esp the second couple. Of course my fave Kim Won Hae was both annoying and funny here.
5. The OST is so nice. Yup i just bought my own copy!
6. The second lead was cute but boring. He was no match to Jasung's charisma and energy. Hope Gunjoo gets the girl next time.
Dislikes
The ending could have been wayyy better but it didn't detract me from loving the show. I'll just make up my own happy ever after.
