I found this to be the most boring show I've seen in the last month or two
I actually love watching business plots but this show had nothing more to it than a boring and way too dragged-out business plot. I have literally fast-forwarded more than 25 episodes of this show. That's how boring it was for me, personally. I'm so angry at the unnecessary 32 episodes, that just adds to one's misery.There is barely any depth to the characters. More and more side characters keep getting introduced without any proper story or need. Even the love triangle seems to be so forced. It was not at all needed to be extended for 20 long and boring episodes.
The only thing going for this show that allowed me to finish all the 32 not-needed episodes is the beautiful female comradeship shown in the show. I love how women support one another throughout the show whether it be in friendship or work. Very nice to see! Another saviour was the brilliant acting by all the actors. I can't fault them at all. They had great chemistry and skill but the script and direction was just too faulty and did them really bad. I hope I get to see them in a better drama soon!

NOT THE TYPICAL C-DRAMA FEMALE LEAD
This drama really flips the script on the typical toxic relationship dynamic. Yes, the male lead is pretty unbearable at times, but some of his insults are so over the top that they're almost comical. And after all, this kind of dysfunctional dynamic is par for the course in c-dramas.But what's different here is the female lead. She's not having any of it. She's strong, vocal, and independent, and she doesn't let the male lead walk all over her. It's like the writers made him the perfect foil to show off her strength and determination.
That's what hooked me on this drama—the female lead's journey to success and autonomy. It's refreshing to see a female character who doesn't just take the abuse but stands up for herself. I’d say "Master of My Own" is definitely worth a watch if you're tired of the same old passive female leads.

As for Lu Ji Ming, his character is so overly rude and unpleasant in the beginning that it's took some time to root for the blossoming feelings between him and Ning Meng. Thankfully, this drama is not centered around a romance between them, and he experiences a lot of growth as well. His friend Ceng Yu Hang brings a lot of humor to the drama and made me laugh out loud several times. I'm also so glad they didn't make Xu Si Tian one of those annoying second leads who won't give up on the male lead. Very pleasantly surprised by her character!
Not quite sure I'd rewatch this but I enjoyed it.

Everything of the drama was just perfect the only thing which was disappointing me they had no episodes of their togetherness . I really wanted to see their chemistry . First time very different story of boss and his assistance .I understood that the story was about how to chase our dreams ,never give up type attitude ,firm determination .But I think every story is incomplete without love story that's why the drama end with their love story . Main male lead character was tough but hesitate at the time of confessing his feelings , so after accept of his proposal, so how he will takes his love story futher . Chemistry (loyalty) speaks louder ?
Best c-drama of 2022.Lin Gengxin and 7 Tan brings out a very natural portrayal of a boss and a secy. Their acting were phenomenal in this drama. They had got a very lovable chemistry even though they express less towards each other. All the other supporting cast were outstanding in their given roles. Ending ost was really soft and melancholic in tune, i really loved it so much🥰

Rating must be above 8.5 atleast, this seems underrated.
Conclusion : A must watch drama for all drama lovers. Very motivating and lovely. I have no interest in investment or anything like that but this drama really is a gem and it sparkles.

Ricordati qual'è il tuo sogno e lotta per esso.
Credo fermamente che questo drama sia eccessivamente sottovalutato e penso anche di saperne il perchè: per la maggiore, ci si avvicina a quest'opera pensando sia un romance/office solito ma questo segue uno schema completamente diverso rispetto agli altri. Più che sull'amore, cmq presente, questo drama si focalizza su FL e sul suo perseguire il proprio sogno, anche a costo di continue pressioni e mobbing. Seguiamo la protagonista dall'inizio alla fine, in tutto il suo percorso di crescita e maturità all'intero di un mondo difficile come può essere quello degli investimenti. Cosa che ho amato veramente tanto è che questo fattore non va alle ortiche man mano che il drama avanza per focalizzarsi sulla parte romantica, tutt'altro. Rimane l'unico chiodo fisso di tutto il drama e ho adorato come è stato trattato l'argomento. Ho apprezzato che le storie romantiche siano mature, ma veramente mature, senza momenti pucci pucci simil ragazzini delle superiori (momenti che solitamente amo nei drama) o scleri improvvisi, incidenti strani, e chi più ne ha più ne metta (qualcosa c'è, ma è ben ponderata). Sembra una storia vera. Non si avverte per nulla la finzione.Io non l'ho mai trovato noioso nonostante la lunghezza perchè ogni singola clip è studiata davvero bene e nonostante i tempi "molli" ci siano non danno fastidio, anzi nell'insieme creano personaggi sempre più tridimensionali.
Davvero davvero consigliato, soprattutto a chi si trova in un momento lavorativo particolarmente duro. Mi ha dato le stesse sensazioni (per quanto riguarda inseguire i propri sogni e battersi per loro) del kdrama Start Up: entrambe è come se mi avessero aiutato in tal senso.

I love how Chinese dramas have evolved in recent years. They are showing strong female leads and this drama did the same.Ning Meng-
The female lead’s character was so well written and Seven did a commendable job of portraying it. She was told that she could not become an investor. That's a norm set by our society that women cannot make good investments. But she proved them wrong. From being a secretary to being a director, her journey became motivational to all the women.
She was straightforward, and kind, never gave up on her dreams and even helped his former boss when he lost everything. This drama will make you cheer for her in her career growth. This was the best role Seven played(in my opinion)
Lu Ji Ming-
Whatever I say about this character will not be enough. He is a self-centred jerk from the start who only knows how to belittle everyone around him. When he said what he said in front of her senior while having dinner was unacceptable. I wanted to punch him so hard. Then they showed us his backstory. I did pity him after that for a few episodes until Yimeng’s entry. He was so nice and kind to Yimeng which means he knows what being nice means. Then why did he do that to Ning Meng, I will never understand this. But after episodes 17-18, he understood that he was in the wrong and that he liked Ning Meng. After that, he began to change and his character development was good and his father’s death played a crucial part in the development.
Their chemistry-
There was no chemistry. There was slow burn romance that can be categorized as emotional intimacy and understanding. This drama was not about romance from the beginning, it was about career growth and this drama did well. They got together in the very last scene and I liked it. They matured in their own way and then they came together.
Side characters
Su Wei Ran-
I have no sympathy for this character. If someone is born rich then they are not at fault. You cannot deny their existence or you cannot take revenge on all the rich kids just because your girl got away with the rich man. To be honest I don't think she cheated, he said they were having problems and they were fighting a lot. They both were struggling and he became aggressive. It was her fault but only partially. The way he denied his part was uncanny.
Si Tian and Yu hang-
They both are my favourites after Ning Meng. They are so cute together. They did not waste any time and got together. They were supportive of each other and of the people surrounding them.

satisfy screenplay writer
I was very much surprised!!! without any romantic scene or intimacy, the story able to tie us , keep following everyday till the last episode.. Each episode well composed . The cast was good enough to make us stick on it.. Showing a strong Female lead inspires. Well done to the screenplay writer. The writing makes us involved which each character .. since FL and ML is my favorite , i knew they will nailed the character., especially Kenny... OMG. he look handsome . Seven Tan , keep on moulding her acting skill in each of her serial. Anyhow, overall in was a good show. Thanks Mr. Director , to gave such a warm drama... Amazing Story of Self Actualisation and Character progression
This drama had my favourite features...a strong FL who believes in herself and is undaunted by adverse circumstances, a ML who is cold and arrogant but changes to total mush later on, supportive parents, sismance in workplace ( not easy to find it) and an ending which makes me happy and well assured that things do turn out for the best. Of course, Kenny Lin and Seven Tan were the stars of the show but the side characters had quite a bit of contribution in increasing the appeal of the drama. i never had even one boring moment with this drama and enjoyed it thoroughlyVond je deze recentie nuttig?

De romance tiene poco
El drama esta lindo. Me gusto. Te engancha pero debo reconocer que gira mas en torno al trabajo que al romance. Se me hizo llevadero. Esta interesante todo el mundo de las inversiones y demás. De aplicarlo en buenos proyectos y de alguna manera hablan de la responsabilidad social de los mismos. No solo importa el dinero sino la gente en un trabajo.No esperes besos ni escenas romanticas ni tire y afloje. NI de los principales ni de los secundarios. Me extraño. Se supone que pertenece al genero romántico pero....... nada........... los besos se cuentan con menos de media mano.
Igual por ahora me gustan mas los ch-dramas que lo lakorn. Son historias con buenos principios y si bien pasan dificultades. Siempre la idea es salir adelante !!
