One of the best historical drama
Based in China 1930s, this story is being told during the time of war. Starting with theCheng Yi Zhi (Steven Zhang), a young brilliant man who is managing a commercial shop at the heart of the city. And somejow he gets to know Li Zi (Elvira Cai) and she is a daughter of the Banker Wu Ru Fu, a well-established banker who will be killed in a mesytrious events. During that Yi Zhi finds himself in front of a bigger world, he enters the world of finance. With his quick wit and natural skill, he soon catches the eye of the master ( Huang Ru ) one of the banking industry’s biggest players. Quickly earring Boss Huang’s trust, Yi Zhi soon finds himself the boss’s closest confidante. Privy to Huang’s darkest secrets, Yi Zhi uncovers a truth so shocking, it drives him from Huang’s side. With Li Zi’s support who is now married to Yo Zhi because she is seeking revenge for her father's death. Yi Zhi is determined to make his own way in the world of finance.
It's not only a story about the finance world during 1930s but also is very amazing historical romance drama.
Every character even the supporting leads have grown through the 41 EP. Everyone has their own story and secrets.
To be honest, i watched it for Steven Zhang but i was so pleased with the whole cast acting. They are amazing. Also loved the Female lead, Li Zi is a very strong woman, i didn't liked her for the first 20 eps but i can understand her feelings, then i loved her so much.
So many beloved characters like Charlie and little Bell didn't make to the end but that what makes the story more worthy.
I'm sure now this drama is always going to be on my top favourite list. Lots of love to the whole crew.
