Rich, spoiled princess saved by powerful boyfriend
It’s a horrible story about horrible people. One female lead is a cruel, manipulative, spoiled princess. The other is a doormat who continually takes abuse from the princess and never stands up for herself. At first, it’s fun to watch the princess suffer a little after the way she manipulates the other, causing her to lose her job in the process. You think she might start learning some lessons, but she doesn’t. And it’s hard to keep cheering on the other because she continues to go back and let the princess manipulate her without any consequences. I started to believe they both deserve to fail.
The only two likable characters are Yang Jian and Hong Die. The rest are overtly stereotyped and without depth. They hint at some secondary story lines, but by episode 23 they are still only hinted at with no development.
I know some of the actors are very capable of being adorable and charismatic and fun to watch, but it’s not evident in this show. Not sure if it’s the writing or the directing. Everything is bland and monotone.
The princess schemes and doesn’t care who gets hurt. The doormat quietly takes abuse and comes back for more. The mysterious guy both girls like is just sort of there in the background. The guy who loves the doormat teams up with the princess and almost costs her a second job (though he meant well, the princess didn’t.) Doormat sits around letting everyone else decide her fate. Powerful investor guy works behind the scenes to clean up the princess’s messes. No one has shown any progress towards becoming a better human being. I’m really not sure why this show has so many good reviews.
I watched it because of actors I like, but they’ve been muted by the story.

Deserve To Be Award Drama
Watching this drama is getting me so hooked, with the engaging story, cinematography, the journey, the acting skill of each actor/actress is just so good This is also the closest to reality C-Drama I have ever seen in term of the business and investment. My favorite here is of course the FL, really love ZHX acting and as always the aura that she bring in her acting skill. Overall really learn a lot of thing in this drama and I really recommend those to watch this drama too. If I had to say the shortage of this drama, I would say it is not enough episode. I think it can be extended to 42 so we can see ML FL wedding and how the two company stand side by side in a few year timeline.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Running With and Against the Wind
I love this drama for its storyline, its cast and the love story between the main leads. The script is well written and nothing is superfluous. The main leads have well-fleshed out characters and both have their flaws amidst their strong personalities. Elaine Zhong portrays a strong-minded, feisty rich girl, Jiang Hu who has to turn her family business around when she is met with tragedy and betrayal of family and friends. I think Elaine carried this character well and is able to portray the independent and self-confident woman who has smart ways of turning events to her advantage. To her, trust is the most valued aspect of relationships and she seemed to have lost her faith in trust when her family, friends and most of all, her lover seemed to have betrayed her. She grew up as a much-indulged daughter and to her, her father could do no wrong. Along the way in her quest to make sure that the family business stays relevant and thrives, she finds out truths about her father and realised that there are reasons behind the events that led to the business' downfall. Gong Jun did an excellent job as a super-confident investor, Xu Si whose beliefs in his investing profession are questioned when his action caused Jiang Hu to walk away from him. The chemistry between both leads is good and their relationship develops with the progress of the business. Like many other viewers, I feel that the ending is too abrupt and could have been fleshed out more. Nevertheless a great drama - I have already rewatched it.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Best C-Drama in my life
This is the best Chinese drama I have ever watched, both in terms of the artists' visuals and their acting skills, which feel incredibly natural, as if it's real life. The storyline is intriguing and goes against the mainstream, very realistic. The plot twists add to the curiosity. The OST is also good and enjoyable even though I don't understand the Chinese language. I haven't been able to watch other Chinese dramas because I'm still rewatching this one. I deeply feel the happiness and sadness experienced by Jiang Hu. I also want to experience the seeds of love growing between Xu Si and Jiang Hu. The storyline feels authentic, showing us how to handle betrayal, how to forgive, and teaching us that we must rise even after a fall.If a season 2 could be made or if we could wait for Gong Jun and Zhong Chuxi to pair up in another drama, that would be great. The final scene of the drama lacks a bit of excitement, at least there should be a wedding.

Where is the romance at ?
from the beginning of the story to the end it only talks about business and there is no progress between the ML and FL characters. I know, even though it's only 8 episodes, there should be some spice of romance, even if it's just a little. What's more, for me, I'm watching this drama just for romance, not to learn about business or investment, and in this drama it's too in-depth to talk about investing in company owners/company power. I think the story is pretty good but I still don't enjoy watching this drama. I don't know why. Maybe dramas like this aren't my favorite. If the author adds spices of romance to progress the romance of ML and FL, maybe I will like this drama more than just talking about business. .Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
I love Rising With The Wind soooooo much!!!
Everything in this drama is PERFECT!!! I don’t know what to say, but I know all cast and crew have done a hard work. Business story is easy to understand, and love lines are soooooo good for me! All Ost. are beautiful and I’m waiting to listen via Apple Music or other music streamings.I love Gong Jun and Zhong Chuxi more and more! Xu Si / Jiang Hu’s relationship and their character developments make me crazy in love with them. I think their business certificate is everything more than marriage certificate. It’s intense, I don’t know how to explain my feeling. Gong Jun is always good-looking (I’m falling into him, someone helps me) and Zhong Chuxi is my pretty girl (She’s the reason why I watched this drama, but everything is masterpiece, so I stay here.)
And I want to admire Wu Xuanyi and Gao Zhiting. They have done their great jobs and fullfilled this drama too! Their love line is interesting and warming my heart. And every cast is PERFECT! I love all of them, obviously.
I assure I can say the word ‘PERFECT’ for a thousand times to Rising With The Wind. I’ll rewatch this drama as soon as possible, because I love it!!!!!

It makes sense to wait for two years
After watching three episodes, I'm on the verge of falling asleep.Ordinarily, it is my interest to have a growth-oriented heroine to pursue a career, but unfortunately it has so many shortcomings that it is really tasteless. ① The plot is scattered and the amount of information is low. In the first episode, three or four BGM songs are inserted, and the slow-motion close-ups of the same template highlight the charm of the characters. ②The director loves all kinds of meaningless split screens. It can be seen that he has strong PPT skills and is somewhat in the wrong field (Picture 2). ③The plot conforms to the stereotype of domestic idol dramas, which means all the suspended water-injected industrial saccharin is standard. ④The characters are assigned as needed. The creator's understanding of "three-dimensional characters" is to make everyone feel schizophrenic from the beginning.
The fatal blow is that all the leading actors have a strong sense of acting. The most terrible thing is Gong Jun. His expressions are exaggerated and his lines are hot-tongued. He no longer has the same visual sense as a good reader. He just stumbles and recites it. His lips, tongue and teeth look like he just bought it. It has never been opened for more than a day. Next is Wu Xuanyi, whose face and expressions are all flat, and she reads the text with emotion when she opens her mouth. Zhong Chuxi has the weakest acting performance among the three.

totally in shock at the high ratings
Trust me, i havent seen a slower and cheesier 1st episode in years... And packed with clichés to the point it bursts. We get the diva, the public manipulation, the fashion industry setting, the handsome businessman, some catfight too... I got the impression of watching a low-quality lakorn, where everything pretends to be glamourous, but it's just fake. (Sorry to the lakorn producers, at least they own the brand of glossy and glitzy!)About to drop it.

An disappointing show, I wish I can have my time back for watching 5 episodes.
If you're looking for a meaningful and engaging drama, you may want to steer clear of this one."Rising With the Wind" is a drama that falls short of expectations in many ways. From the screenwriting to the direction, it seems like the creators had no idea what they were doing. It's essentially a poorly executed romantic story masquerading as a startup-themed drama.
The biggest issue with this series is the lack of depth in both the storyline and the characters. The main leads, portrayed by Gong Jun and Zhong Chuxi, don't seem to be serving the plot or the roles they're given. Instead, they treat the show as a fashion runway, wearing expensive branded clothes, constantly posing and posturing for the camera. This overemphasis on style comes at the cost of substance.
The performances in this drama leave much to be desired, especially Gong Jun. His delivery of lines is inconsistent and lacks emotion, he has no idea how a successful investor would behave in real life. This lack of depth and understanding makes it challenging for viewers to connect with or empathize with his character. His stilted acting raises the question of how he managed to secure this leading role.
Zhong Chuxi is equally disappointing. It's evident that she only had a superficial understanding of her character, resulting in a one-dimensional and overly formulaic performance.
The show's attempt to blend romance with the startup theme feels forced and awkward. The two elements don't complement each other effectively, resulting in a disjointed narrative.
Overall, "Rising With the Wind" fails to deliver on its promises. It's a superficial drama with underdeveloped characters, unconvincing performances, and a poorly executed storyline.
