I think what made me gravitate towards this drama is because it contains a lot of things I've been dreaming to watch; a perfectly balanced cool-but-not-overwhelmingly-cold, just the right amount of loser kinda malewife and a domineering, but still sweet in particular time wife. Even though the marriage contract trope is stale at best, but I kinda like the dynamic between the two leads. this is my first chinese drama that I followed thru until 40 episodes, ngl it's kinda hard, but the pacing of the story and how the conlicts are peppering right is what made me continue on.i saw a lot of people complain about "unnecessary conflict" at the last 6 episodes but I think it's inevitable. their entire brand relationship is based and fundamentally build on lie, so it made sense to rework the building into trust if they actually want it to work. But i really dont understand the male lead's wishy washy attitude. all in all, not a fan, but i could understand it a little bit.
I watched xukai's performance in falling into your smile, and i could say i did not really see a different acting her and there? but it's still good, because Yang Hua's character is just the right amount of aloof and caring. Yang Mi though, it;s my first time watching her in cdrama, and I could honestly say she embodied Qin Shi very well. the actress and actor are being saved by the characters i guess?

Why disappoint at the end
Is best they had extended it for a next four episode than to ruin a good show like that. I just started cussing from when they missed each other at the airport total cliche with all airport scenes but then I saw seven months later what happen between that seven months am like what the hell where are they going with this show and if that wasn’t enough to piss you off boom here comes she running into his arms let’s get back together show done like bruhhhhhhhhh whyyy y’all does give me so much high blood pressure don’t try cram everything in one episode after having a good flow throughout the series.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

- Nhạc hay, lồng ghép hợp lý và dẫn dắt cảm xúc người xem.
- Mối quan hệ giữa nam chính và nữ chính cực kỳ lành mạnh. Cả hai đều là những phiên bản không hoàn hảo, ai cũng có những nết xấu khó coi nhưng họ đã vì nhau mà thay đổi, trở thành phiên bản tốt hơn của chính mình.
Mình cực kỳ một mối quan hệ không yêu nhau từ cái nhìn đầu tiên, không phải tình yêu sét đánh mà ở bên nhau lâu dài đủ hiểu nhau và từ đó hai trái tim tìm thấy sự đồng điệu trong tâm hồn. Vì nhau mà trưởng thành, vì nhau mà cố gắng.
- Phim không có couple phụ. Kể cả có thì tua cũng không ảnh hưởng đến mạch phim.
- Mình cực kỳ đồng cảm với nhân vật Tần Thi, vì đổ vỡ gia đình mà không tin tưởng vào tình yêu, hôn nhân, sợ bị tổn thương. Nhưng thật may đã có một Dương Hoa với trái tim ấm áp yêu thương Tần Thi.
- Dù là tình chị em nhưng nam chính cũng gần ba mươi nên không bốc đồng, trẻ trâu mà chững chạc, trưởng thành để có thề làm "toà thành" cho nữ chính.
- Chem giữa nam nữ chính ổn và bình yên. Không phải kiểu bùng nổ mà nhẹ nhàng như nước, từ từ thấm đẫm. Mấy cảnh làm nũng của Tần Thi cũng đáng yêu lắm
- Đào Tuấn Huy ngon wa trời à. Lý Trạch Phong diễn vai thâm tình mà mình quắn quéo hehe. Đoạn đòi lấy Tần Thi bùng nổ cảm xúc thật sự. Ảnh ơi, lấy em!!!
2. Điểm trừ
- Cả câu chuyện thì hay nhưng phần kết hơi vội và yếu. Thôi vẫn là HE hee he.
- Hứa Khải diễn nhiều lúc hơi đơ ?. Cảnh tình cảm thì tự nhiên lắm nhưng nhiều khi cần thể hiện cảm xúc thì gương mặt đẹp trai của anh như tượng trong chùa huhu.

And please dont listen to the comments who judged the whole drama based on the episodes between 35-40
The ML made the right decision to allow the FL to separate herself from an emotional fortress and reality.
He wanted to start over without all the complication of their "fabricated marriage" because He really had fallen in love with her
But she couldn't differiante feelings and ambitions
Am unashamed to say that I enjoy noona romance(older FL younger ML) and personally age is just 1234, a numeral number and I dont get triggered as long as it's within the legal bracket.With great luck,writers didn't put it in our faces repetitively and in the end it was never an issue that was visible.
Am a sucker for a FL who is strong with a badass attitude and the creators picked one of the best in the industry Ms Yang Mi,not only she came with beauty and determination but with her,she showed up on the scene with a brain and a glorious wardrobe.
In the field where the glass ceiling is higher than the Eiffel tower and decisions of who advances or who stays at the cubicle desk are made in the boardroom and in the bedroom.So you better be playing chess not checkers,and if you are a woman the game is even worse.
So the whole drama is based on a “tiny” white lie told by her mentor during her hiring process after she was rejected by everyone because of her status and this became a premise of her rise or downfall.
Enters our ML played by Xu Kai,Just your normal introvert but genius with a touch of OCD.who fell from grace and is hiding in his parent house who have decided that 4500 RBM per month is all he needs to survive,without knowing that for the last 2 years he is been someone’s perfect husband in a couple’s picture somewhere in a lawyer’s office and as fate would decide they meet at a party where he is giving in to his mom constant request to go on a blind date and our FL is trying to get her foot in the door by socializing and networking with the same people who don't want you to even come to the door.
From the time they bump into each other to contracts being signed and sharing the same space,their intellectual banter is what really kept me hooked,no matter how much the crybabies in the comment section kept on being impatient.
The two characters had the most memorable communication I have ever seen in the C-drama world.They really completed each other without even noticing that they are yin and yan.
She brings home all her frustration of the day and he picks her shoes which without malice she tends to leave at the door and he cooks,cleans and soaks her feet in the bucket to release her stress.As the drama is called, He is the perfect husband.But there is more….
How will they continue to survive as the truth of the lie keeps getting in the gossip circles closer to the office and their families who came with their baggage?
I was immersed in the topic and the character development that I don't think talking about production,Set,OST or cinematography is necessary because it was a top tier production and thank you to whoever designed all the sets and houses..Should i mention the wardrobe team? Yes they slayed all the looks,You could feel the Shanghai soul in all the looks and the location that were used..It felt like 1920 has incarnated into 2022.
OVERALL;This is a beautiful drama that requires the viewer to love the subject and patiently look forward to how Yang Hua will solve Qin Shi’s puzzle in any of her cases that has fiances in them.
WHAT I DISLIKED: The last episode.The jump of a whole 7 months from the airport scene where the FL thinks the ML has left the country..I won't say where he was to avoid spoilers but that last episode could have gone a lot better.
Yang Hua’s famous line in my books,He had many philosophical and poetic ones whenever he was drunk but this one was epic while he was sober.

Sebenarnya tema yang diangkat bagus tentang kehidupan wanita karir yang didiskriminasi terutama profesi pengacara. Pesan ceritanya bagus sekali. Tapi, alur cerita keseluruhan dan alur romantismenya bertele-tele dan membosankan. Apalagi saat membahas tentang kehidupan pernikahan yang rumit, alurnya sangat lambat. Gak suka sama karakter male lead yang rapuh dan pelit. Justru lebih suka dengan karakter second male lead. Gak akan rewatch drama ini. A perfect contract marriage drama
Been waiting for this drama for a long time. One for the two main characters YM and XK, two eyes candies, no need to explain more. I thought it going to be a pluffy love story, but the storyline is very intriguing and refreshing! The surprise and fast pace of each case make me anticipate the next episodes. Waiting for the next day is torturing. Love QS strong women character and YH perfect husband chemistry! The only annoying part is the ex’s annoy fiancée that really need a life. Overall it is funny, heart warming and refreshing.And for those who are complaining about last episode but in my opinion this is the best way for female lead to understand the meaning of marriage .

Watch this of course for my Xu Kai & Yang Mi. Although I quite like the dynamic between this couple but the plot itself more & more uninterested toward the end. All the case related to them is kinda doesn't make sense & I kinda doesn't really understand what that's all about.... It seem what Qin Shi (QS) did in her lawfirm kinda over her scoop as an attorney, like when they defense He Dong Na, or when they want to make pre-martial agreement, all the things they did I don't know is it lawyer supposed to do...? And also all the chaos related to Yang Hua previous job very confusing....
What I really like from this couple (QS & Yang Hua) is how mature they are. They always talk about their feeling and honest with each other. But their feeling is so sudden & quite unclear when it's even started. The other thing that I really like is the friendship between Li Dai & QS. The healthy rivalry that in the end make friendship out of it...
What I really don't like is how childish Wu Fei is. Yeah I know jealousy is a b*tch and very hard to control. But at first she's the one that arrange the job for Tao Jun Hui & yet she's also the one that did all the stupid things in the end.
And don't let me started with QS's brother & his wife. How messy their marriage is. One of the most toxic relationship that I've ever watch in the drama....
Well in the end this just another drama to watch.

A drama with the potential to score, and then the writer & the director dropped the ball!
This drama had a lot of potential, but the writing was shoddy, and the director also did a poor job of telling the story. There were holes in the storyline throughout, that left the viewers guessing and wondering what just happened and why! There was no obvious character development even with the main characters.I started watching this because of the excitement from the (mostly) followers of both Xu Kai and Yang Mi. Xu Kai was good in his role as Yang Hua – and Yang Mi as Qin Shi was passable. I found him to be a little too passive and she was wooden and barely emotional until the very end when things fell apart.
I think the thing that saved this drama for me was the chemistry between the ML & FL. Despite their poorly written roles, their connection was believable, and they were sweet together, especially Yang Hua. (Those puppy dog eyes). Yang Mi was underwhelming – not believable as a kick-ass independent career woman. She could deliver some good punchlines, but ruined the image with the whiny, petulant kissing-up to her lady boss.
Let’s talk about the story arcs. SML (Tao Junhui) – I didn’t know whether to pity him or kick him to the curb. His character had potential to be a decent person but man! Weak and spineless! And his girlfriend was such a spoiled, bratty bitch! She certainly did not deserve the ending she got. The brother (Wenyu) and his wife (Meimei) – what a dysfunctional mess! We had to guess about their ‘growth’ and they too turned up with a happy ending. Yes, ML & FL got their happy ending too, but I don’t think enough time was given to that conclusion and it felt like we were cheated out of it in the last episode.
People who deserve special mention:
Baddies – Li Dai. I see quite a few viewers admired her. I did NOT. She was a vicious bitch. With ‘friends’ like those, you don’t need enemies. Her character could have been admirable. Instead (imo) she was petty, spiteful and mean. Tang Yihui (lady boss) – what a piece of work! And FL was like her lapdog - fawning and desperate for attention. It’s a pity she got away with so much manipulation. And just a mention – Yang Hua’s mom. If I had a parent like her, I would ask to be put up for adoption.
Goodies – Yang Hua’s best friend (Cai Liang) – misguided and shallow at times, but a true friend. There weren’t a lot of those in this series. Qin Shi’s older brother – I'd like a big brother like him. But the best character of all hands down was Yan Hua’s dad! Soft-spoken and long-suffering, but wise and loving of his family, especially his son. I loved his scenes the most (after our lead couple, of course).
I wanted to give this one a high rating and a good review, but after about episode 30, it was mostly downhill for me. I can’t even say it’s worth re-watching. After the long wait and anticipation, it disappoints – and that is solely the fault of the writer and the director.

You can find love in unexpected places . . . but do you want to?Due to hijinks, Qin Shi and Yang Hua decide to pretend to be husband and wife. They both 'could do worse' and are attractive . . and so why not move from fake to real? The suspense comes from Qin Shi being a known quantity, but Yang Hua is a mystery to the audience, why does he know so much about finance? why does he have such an odd attitude towards relationships? What makes him tick?
It's not the most compelling plot, but there is an eagerness in seeing him finally lose his cool, or revealing some of the mysteries of the past.
But, I am dropping this series because I absolutely can't stand the secondary couple. They are both miserable, but the woman doesn't want to let go, and the man is incapable on his own. The family tries to encourage the woman to stay as she is a steadying, good influence on him and the family business. This is the story of every dysfunctional relationship ever, and by all accounts has been going on for years . . . what are we supposed to be learning from this? It's beyond the we fight and make up phase.
They are showing every single sign of a completely failed relationship, physical violence, emotional and/perhaps sexual cheating, demeaning and derisive comments about each others characters. It may turn out that there is a relationship lesson down the line, but for now it seems to hint that they are some sort of Romeo and Juliet, instead of a couple who should have split up years ago before people got hurt. I started skipping their scenes, but the pros are small and cons large for this series, and it's time to give up.

I've waited for this drama since last year. The teaser seems promising. I love the actors. Tbh I expect it to be like Love you just the way you are and maybe a bit below you are my glory in terms of quality.What we got is the generic throw your brain away to watch this. I cant watch it anymore
1. WTF with that toxic relationship between her bro n friend. I always skip theirs because there was no character development for them and they were given A LOT of screentime.
2. WTF with that wu fei girl. At first she seems decent, but suddenly she turn super crazy and irrational like a different person??
3. WTF the reason behind Qin Shi's lie. All she did was say yes to that sly boss when I expect her to be smart not dumb like that.
4. QS and YH relationship is bland, awkward, and very little progress.
5. Of course the stupid ending.... they always have good communication and suddenly the divorce and being away for months? WTF is that.
6. The antagonists got away just like that.
7. I dont even care about the workplace story at all. I skip almost all of it since ep 14. And by ep 18, I cant continue anymore. Just watch QS and YH scene till ep 30. And then enough is enough.
