Nail Shop Paris Episode 1 Reacties
It doesn't need to have a very good plot because I happen to like cutesy stuff. Hope it won't become too boring later on!
This drama reminds me of Coffee Prince and You're Beautiful all into one.

The first episode was okay, nothing extraordinary; it’s normal and the acting is average. Nonetheless, I will keep watching this with the hope that it will become more interesting.

All the the customers happen to have a hand/nail related problem/trauma and it's a must to meddle in all of those affairs...
You also must pick up & eat food that's found outside! (:
+ lots and lots more that I could rant about.

I just don't think I can handle any more of this ridiculousness...
I don't even understand why this kind of dramas get aired... Korea has that much free time on their channels? =__=;;

A plus is definitely the extremely good-looking guys and female protagonist. Gyuri pulls off the pretty boy look very well when she is acting as a boy, but the one thing that prevents me from believing that any of the other characters would not immediately recognize her as a girl is her voice. It's just a bit too high pitched to make her cover seem plausible. Also, her pants are just a little too tight, since they don't hide her obviously feminine lower body as well as some loser pants would.
Can I just say how awesome the idea of a nail shop with only male employees is? Especially very hot and talented Korean ones! That's a dream come true for all us K-drama and K-pop lovers. We certainly like our ramen shops, coffee shops, nail shops, and all sorts of shops in dramas filled with flower boys.
On to what happens in the 1st episode, I thought that what the Nail Shop crew did for the soft-spoken couple was very sweet. The lady's nails turned out very lovely, and the fact that they were done to look like she had a wedding ring was beautiful.
One thing that's bugging me at the end is whether Alex actually thought that Yeo-joo brought the coffee (which she found outside the nail shop) just for him, or if he sensed it might be danger and took it off her hands so she wouldn't be the one drinking it. If it's the first one, then that's kind of...weird; why would he think it's for him and not that she just brought it in to drink herself? And if it's the second, then why would he drink from it and not just throw it away? Hmmm.
