Continuing with my rewatch. Episode 2 lets us see the gang in action and makes us slowly understand their dynamic. We continue to try to figure out who Black was. We find out Black is the one who brought them together. It seems that their main connection is their shared hatred of Tawi. Would be interesting to know how they all actually met and found each other. I like that we're getting to know a bit of the personalities. Yok is an artist and a bit of a romantic. Gram is the kindest of them all. Sean is very driven. Gumpa is the one who taught them all they know. White is actually not a very good liar and doesn't think about his actions much. I like how much White is trying to figure out Black's motivations. He really doesn't know his brother at all and doesn't know what he's gotten himself into. We also meet the mysterious UNAR. Once again with hindsight, I like some of the writing choices done here. Establishing Black as the person who often doesn't stick to plan and that's why the characters keep repeating it (which for us is important since we're hearing it for the first time). It's a nice in universe explanation of the need to explain to the audience what's happening. I also think the way they're continuing to have Todd be the one who helps White and how they keep each other informed is also good for reasons later on.I do have to mention that the quote Gram says "freedom is the oxygen of the soul"? Yeah it's from a Israeli military leader. Which I do think is a bit tone deaf considering what the show is about
read comments that said Sean knows Black isn't Black and is playing along, cause they had something... (well that just makes it weirder) cause if he n Black r in a relationship, he would have even more reasons to demanded answers from the imposter. even if he knew that Black had a twin, he would also know they was estranged. so why the twin suddenly show-up, let alone why pretend to be Black?!? if u were in a 'ship' with one, wouldn't u want answers? out of care/worry, not just curiosity?!? ******cause agree that the sec "Black" raised his arms in self-defense (in the previous ep) when he thought he was gonna get punched, Sean noticed something was up. from the start of this ep he keeps testing "Black", pushing a little then helping him out when the others in the group, start questioning "Black's" weird unusual behavior. so maybe he feels something n is gauging the situation or idk ¯\(°_o)/¯ like mentioned already, the logic here is lacking, big time(ノω<。)ノ********************************* ****************************************************************************************************************************************n have to say, donno why everyone is so gaga over Gun's acting. i don't like him as W/B n he giving me Third from Theory of Love vibes (dropped that crap in the 5th ep, couldn't stand his throwing himself a constant pity party making himself the victim, blaming Khai, who wasn't at fault. that was a frustrating watch). so seeing him yet again playing the blame game, where he suddenly got beef only with Sean, when Yok was as hostile towards him. i donno what to say ( ˘︹˘ ) just that as of these 2 eps, the only reason i haven't bailed yet is the potential seen between Yok & Dan (●ˇ∀ˇ●) now that was fire. very promising (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)*****************************************************************************************************************************************White/Black on the other hand, is just a mess idk what anyone be thinking, when a backboneless nerd tries to impersonate a person he not capable of understanding, his every word n action scream he's not his brother, and yet no one calling him out?!? especially given the dangerous things they r doing `(*>﹏<*)′ jails in Thailand aint a picnic, n White is a liability, this ludicrous *******************************************************************************************************************************************also know Tawi the big-bad-guy but idk why Tod comes off shady too me, White blindly confiding in a stranger he knew as a kid is ridiculous... but why look for logic (*゜ー゜*)
I really like how they add slow motion when burning Tawi's house. The BGM, cg and the fire that burned the house was absolutely wonderful. The scene when gram and white come home from Tawi's house and talk about freedom is the oxygen of the soul is very beautiful.
The mood for this episode is scaroused!Sean is more and more suspicious of White disguised as Black, Yok found the love of his life while committing crimes, Gram is a cutie and I want to hug him and Tod is... I actually don't know what to think about him yet!White is trying is best, but it is quite obvious he has no idea at all what he should do, he nearly died (again) along with Black and I'm a bit scared about what will happen next...This series is so damn good!I'm loving it!We also see that girls exist! It is not a world composed by man alone, we already knew, but it is nice to be reminded in such a good looking way! ?I'm even more interested now!
I am constantly amazed by this series. The little details that are presented are simply amazing. I was also very impressed with the beauty of the cinematography. The right background also makes the atmosphere more lively. The flow is very beautiful. I totally agree to say that Not Me is a masterpiece.
This series has me on the edge of my seat. The plot is flowing along perfectly as of now (I pray that GMMTV doesn't ruin it)! It's obvious that Sean knows that Black isn't Black. The motorcycle scene at the end is proof of that. I haven't seen Fluke since DBK, and damn, does he look gorgeous. Was not expecting him and First to be our side couple, but I'm not complaining! Gun did a phenomenal job, Mond is still fine as hell, Off looks beautiful in low lighting, and the cinematography is astounding. Excited for the next episode! (the BLM reference was very surprising, but it was awesome to hear. This series is by far the most political that I've seen GMMTV ever go).
i don't think there's anything in the series so far that i don't like, which is surprising bc i'm very judgey :) but yeah it was really good and i cant wait for the next one. a lot of people say its going too fast, which is understandable but i'm super impatient so this series is perfect bc im tired of the same slow plots.
I liked how this episode dealt with the aftermath of the fire and how White is really different from Black and that he doesn’t know much about his brother. It was great seeing the second BL couple especially seeing Fluke, he is dreamy !
I am very convinced that Sean knows that white is pretending to be black. Especially if it goes based on the book on that point. It seems like Sean is trying to help white adjust to Black's life so he doesn't get caught. I think they did a really good job with everything I feel like this scenes go together really well and the emotions through the actor's eyes really come through.
