Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Episode 2 Reacties
This episode was the king of second hand embarrassment. Yoon Hye Jin is rude to her new neighbors thoughtlessly saying things and looking down on the countryside town and people. Despite her seeing the charm of her new home that made her want to stay. Oh, lord. And then one of my least favorite tropes happens. Yoon Hye Jin accidentally gets broadcasted talking down about the ex-singer, Oh Chun Jae. Oh Chun Jae is basically a golden retriever and it's so sad to think anyone would hurt him.
Yoon Hye Jin doesn't even think about addressing all the mean she spread and only realizes how bad it is when no one shows up for the opening of her Dentistry. She doesn't even mention in to her bestfriend who decides to move there after a bad break up. Which I'm so happy for some Womance!!!! Female friendship in dramas is my favorite!
Hong Doo Shik ends up helping Yoon Hye Jin out. We see what a tradesmen Hong Doo Shik is. When you live in a small town people do learn how to do everything. It's just the way of it, and something I've always admired.
Yoon Hye Jin also has to learn some of the older thought processes in living in such a small community. Especially with older judgey people. I live in a small town and I know that well. Especially if you're kind of an outsider because you don't conform to their beliefs.
There is still plenty of charm in this episode. Not to mention we're already getting to see how Yoon Hye Jin and Hong Doo Shik's paths crossed when they were younger. So cute!!! I love it when this trope is done well in dramas, especially K-dramas!!!! I hope there's more. In their case it was that fateful day at the beach when they were children! >_< I don't even think I have to wait for episode 4 to say I am in to this drama and will probably just keep going.

All grandmas complaining about Hye Jin's workout attire had me cracking up like crazy. That's how my grandmas think!! I thought it's an Indian thing but apparently, it's an Asian thing... Seeing Hye Jin struggle with people is best!! They are all going to bad mouth her behind her back. An issue I totally understand when you are from a big city and are visiting or moving to the countryside.
And maybe I should start wearing impractical shoes. If I am lucky, I might end up falling into some guy's arms!!!

Living in a small town in which everyone knows everyone, I totally get what that feeling is especially because I know none and I'm always seen as the strange(r) one!Whatever she is doing, she is doing it the wrong way, living in a big city apply following totally different rules and dynamics, she is not a totally bad person, she is a normal human being with her fouls and lack of understanding of the situation, but the residents have that too in a different (if not opposite) way!The one who has a better understanding of the whole situation is surely Doo Shik, who's trying to mediate between the to sides in his own way.I like it, because they are all humans and you can totally see that! The way they act is natural!I love Hye Jin's best friend, and I'm happy we'll get to see her more, even if the reason is a bad breakup...The last few minutes of the episode surprised me again!I'm so sad I'll have to wait a week for Netflix to upload the next two episodes...I need more now... ?I like how things are going!

The first thing that came to my mind about this EP was its cinematography, it's really amazing but beside that the characters type are really lovely... I connected with them and I'm truly familiar how hard and challenging is living in the small city, village etc.

The personality of Hye Jin is still not so strong here, and it just seems like another good starting episode so far. It does not make sense how Du Shik put on good words for the other residents, that annoys me a little but other else was so good! Everyone looked soooo happy in this episode in the end. :)

Really liked the scene where she moved in, So funny!! Love how Doo Shik is always helping Hye Jin. The scene where he asked her to pay him back for snacks was predictable but adorable and funny!! Can't wait for next episodes!!

After watching ep 2 I became hooked to this drama. Wanting Sat and Sun to come faster.

The drama was warm, relaxing, and comforting. Cinematography was spot on, the setting which is Pohang was really beautiful.

The Scene in the middle of the episode was so unwatchable, I kept facepalming out of 2nd hand embarrasment. One thing I understood for sure is that the FL is really bad at socializing. Wasn't a fan of the "we meet again" Trope. There is improvement in the comedy and the shots were beautiful. Will keep watching.

Formula: let Kim Seon Ho just be Kim Seon Ho. That seems to have been the elevator pitch.It’s a good building block but beyond that, there’s not much else going on yet. Shin Min-A’s character seemed an almost entirely different person than from episode one. She’s fearful and insensitive here when she was empathic with the kids and unwavering with the old boss in the opener. And it’s a little too severe “everyone hates her, she can’t do anything right” one way and then flips too easily to “her clinic is swamped, all is forgiven”.But it has a solid cast and a lovely setting and with development and a little more humor, should be an enjoyable show.
