I have questions...

I dont know how i feel about this.

I preface this by saying im a OhmFluke bitch. I love them. Ohm could literally coach me through commiting a crime with that sweet voice of his and the /stare/ and i wouldnt question it.

Anyways....The story brought interesting set up but then did nothing with it. I am tempted to watch the season 2 scenes of this couple because i really do wonder where they will go with this (and i will wathc it, because: (see sentences 2-4 of this text)). Fluke's acting is so good it embarasses other actors in this short movie and brings real unbalance (though im not sure how i feel about his character. felt a bit too immature).

Pretend to Love

so gathered that as this Six different pairs of men, n 6 ep's. each ep is about different couple. which is fine, not everything has to be drawn-out into a full-blown drama. especially if done right - and that is the big/main question before us... **********************************************************************************************************************************************************side note - thought maybe this (as it's about couples established from different BL's) was (kind off) a continuation/follow-up/throw-back to those BL's. but doesn't seem so - as the 1st couple Pierce & Typhoon (who come from Until We Meet Again, where their character's r Dean & Pharm) so just the pairing is a carry-through. cool. **************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************back to the ep, Mark a total douche, don't get when i see singer's like this (as this a cliché I've watched one time too many) he might be "hot sh*t" but he needs the ones he considers "nobodies" to do the grunt work, so he can keep his place in the spotlight. so glad he toned it down, even though the way things were going between the mains, maybe not. but then, when the name of the ep is "Pretend to Love" this can't be anything but heartache .. *************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************so u see Typhoon who 3 yrs later feels the same, but Pierce's heart is no longer in that relationship. which is sad. n he coming off a bit obnoxious, as he knows his heart is not involved, he from the word go started making cow-eyes at Mark. not to mention lying when Typhoon called, and he told Mark it was his "brother". so he knows where he stands and what he doesn't want, maybe even what he wants. what he waiting for?!? ***************************************************************************on the other hand Typhoon is TOO Needy(!) i donno about others, but if i hear that my other-half has finally caught a break n got a job that could change his future. what i wouldn't do was wonder why he stuck at work and bother him on the phone or ask, why he needs to go back when he spent the night. (would message, wishing it was going well with the artist etc...) but wouldn't turn into this needy child. and FOR SURE wouldn't show up at his work place too ridicule him in front of complete stranger's ones he has to work with. like talk cringe, airing ur personal laundry in front of strangers ugh so freakin embarrassing. ****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************sorry but that whole scene yeah Pierce messed-up, he didn't remember a significant date. BUT not the freakin end of the word and for sure doesn't justify Typhoon's tantrum. so him coming to the conclusion that their relationship/ love isn't the same is ridiculous. is love being stuck to the one u love 24/7?!? his definition of love is infantile, if what he needs is someone to coddle him 24/7. that honeymoon phase last a yr if ur lucky. oh idk - cause of that, this a fitting end. they a mess! they need to talk, either work at this 'ship' or break-up. but what we got is a band-aid that WONT fix the problem. but it's realistic, as there a lot of people that rather push the tough stuff to the side and ignore it, until it burst in the faces.

Hoping high for a sequel

OhmFluke really great at potraying PierceTyphoon. Unfortunately, the short time of the series didn't bring justice to show the audience what happens to PierceTyphoon relationship as it end with an abrupt kiss.

However, after knowing the contents of the novel, I found so many missing pieces that should be put into the series to enlighten the audience how did PierceTyphoon relationship went wrong.

I'm pretty sure most of us would like to know more details on PierceTyphoon early stage love like their first encounter with each other or how lovey dovey they are before Pierce got the job & it would be great to see a closure of PierceTyphoon relationship after the kiss.

The highlight is Fluke's acting which itself added 2 stars to my rating

Just realised we can separately rate the episodes, so here I am copying part of my review of the overall series into the specific episodes. ;D The plot is quite thin to be honest, but what can we expect when the episode is only 20 mins long? At least the message behind the story sort of resonated with me. Fluke did a great job in the limited time and plot he was given, as usual. In every scene we see a different vibe and facial expressions: joy, anger, disappointment, hurt, fear and disbelief. He's the only actor in his generation I can trust to salvage a poor plot just by making individual scenes a highlight. The song for this episode was quite easy on the ear too and that one liner summed up the message of this episode.

Afterthought

I would prefer this series to be longer. Ohmfluke’s acting skills are very good, they bring the emotions of the audience into it very well, and the chemical reaction between the two people is also very good. But the 20-minute plot is really too tight. I feel that there is a lot of plot missing in the middle. Although the emotions have been brought in, when I watched the drama, I still did not understand why the two main characters "pretended to love each other"? Is it just to match the title of the song "Pretend to Love"? I am quite confused. In this short 20 minutes, the plot between the main characters did not feel much, the interaction was not much, and there were some contradictions and the resolution of contradictions were not clearly explained. At the end of the play, Typhoon asked Pierce if he could pretend I fell in love, but Pierce didn’t answer, he just kissed Typhoon, and it ended. It ended suddenly. I was a little confused. I always feel that there are still many plots behind, which are not shown in the play. This may not just be for me. That said, this may be true for many viewers. I really hope to have a sequel, this ending is really a pity for me，The plot is very good,The actors performed well, too. I'm looking forward to what happens later. Looking forward to a perfect ending. Looking forward to the seque。

Their chemistry and acting deserved the stars

For a barely 30mins series, it’s not easy to convey the message behind the story in full but, OhmFluke did them well, their emotions are all at the point. I brought the novel, read the story and I seriously they have acted out what was required by them. The chemistry between them is still one of the top notch for me. The story in the novel totally have potential to be filmed to a full hour plus of movie or even to be developed to a short series of around 5 episodes. The love between PierceTyphoon is non-Toxic and they covered the issue that most lovers experienced, and can be well resolved. I very much wanna to see OhmFluke acting out the whole story, it will be very well anticipated. Thanks for having OhmFluke in the short series, it proven that they should have more collaboration in the future. They are not only actors with great potential but one of the best chemistry BL couples.
