Uea and King need to learn how to express their true feeling properly rather than getting influenced by the heat of the moment and Krit. Krit is so damn annoying but really did a good job by visiting Uea's house. At least now Uea got a reality check from his Uea. Uea's Mom has never cared for or protected him, and she is very selfish. Uea did a great job by disappearing and being only in contact with Jade.
disjointed editing made the episode feel like filler
I'm disappointed by the direction of this episode and also the 5th episode. There are so many gaps in storytelling that it's hard to follow and care about what we're following. with a tighter script and solid narrative direction I think this series could be amazing. Perhaps not leaning so much on the novel and going more into the story of King rather than staying with Uea in the office. If we're going to be stuck in the office space, we should have more moments where we learn and progress with either Uea or King and what they're thinking and up against internally and externally. How's it's being shown right now is very elementary and it's very clear that the actors can deliver more given the script and story. The editing could also be tighter with cuts happening sooner. The blocking is too obvious and rigid which stilts some of the performances making it seem like maybe they're tired of the script, too. I hope it improves in the next episodes. The 1st 3 episodes got my hopes up, but I feel let down these past weeks.
I need duct tape to patch it all up again. Uea's Mom has never cared and protected him. When someone is meeting someone else for an arranged marriage, why stay when you have agreed to let that person go when they're interested in someone else? I would not only disappear, I would change my number and only keep in touch with Jade, the only loyal and true friend Uea has.
