Nice topic brought into highlights
(English is not my first language so please excuse any mistakes)After I finished it for the first time, I found it was a simple a short little story to bing watch, nothing Extraordinary, with actors who do their jobs and that's it. ( I reviewed it 7.5/10/
I decided to watch this series again few month after. And omg. Was i stupid or what?? This BL is absolutely incredible ! I must have been blind because it actually deals about toxic masculinity and the pressure and social judgement based on your looks in such a wonderful way ! Actors aren't just "good" they're fantastic ! Especially Eun Bin (si won) ! The scene with his mum is heartbreaking and I cried because he really touched me. Just thinking of it makes me emotional. Yes the format is still very short like a lot of Korean bl but I think it actually fits really good. Ofc I wouldn't have mind a bit longer episodes but I still totally recommend it !!

Simples, porém profundo
Esse bl foi uma bela surpresa. Pra ser sincera eu não esperava muita coisa. Pela sinopse, parecia uma história que eu assistiria apenas pelas cenas fofas. E na verdade, eu fui assistir com isso em mente mesmo.Entretanto, mesmo que esse bl possa parecer simples, ele entrega uma grande profundidade de roteiro. O drama tem um tom mais melodramático, com a presença de monólogos que demonstram os pensamentos do protagonista. E bem, isso foi um ponto crucial para prender minha atenção e me conquistar, visto que amo melodramas.
O roteiro desse bl é sensível, é humano e de fácil identificação com os dilemas dos personagens. O drama é calmo, às vezes lento, e acima de tudo é confortável de assistir, nos deixando com o coração quentinho. Eu gostei da história e do desenvolvimento dos personagens, principalmente pelo fato de não ter clichês desnecessários.
O casal é muito fofo, eles são um conforto um para o outro. Foi muito bom ver o desenvolvimento do relacionamento deles. A trilha sonora é maravilhosa e possui grande sintonia com as cenas, junto a fotografia e direção que trazem uma sensação calma e relaxante. Além disso, também gostei das atuações.
Enfim, eu gostei muito desse bl e considero um dos melhores que já vi. É lindo e poético. Recomendo demais.

Not as good as I Had Hoped
I really thought something was wrong with me today, after seeing all the rave reviews and comments, and I just wasn't feeling what everyone else was feeling as I watched this series.The chemistry between the two main actors was seriously lacking, one main bl was good with blank stares and apparently having difficulty speaking his mind, the other was antagonistic - for what reason? Because he wasn't the most popular? Then he suddenly likes his supposed competition? Not acted or directed in a manner that was believable.
The actors are competent, but they seemed to be directed to under react or overreact. The story line just didn't have enough drama, comedy or chemistry to make it interesting.
There were a few good scenes, the reason I didn't rate this lower, but this one has no rewatch value for me.

Beautifully done slice-of-life BL
I had heard good things about Blueming for so long, but put off watching it because of the format. I find that many Korean BLs with 15-min episodes fall victim to the same pitfall - there's simply not enough time to get things done. This one, however, surprised me by how much they were able to do with their short time frame.Siwon has always been taught that the most important thing is how other people view you, which has made him overly insecure about how is perceived - his looks, his interests, etc. Most of the time, he comes off as charming and interesting, but a lot of what he says is actually just a facade so he retains this image of himself. However, Dawoon sees right through him. This makes Siwon anxious, and he really dislikes Dawoon for it. Once the two of them start to understand each other more, feelings between Dawoon and Siwon start to emerge.
Even though this is basically the length of a movie, they managed to convey so much in so little time. The conflicts surrounding both characters' personal lives, as well as their issues within film school, are very realistic without being overly complex, which makes them ideal for this show. I do think that the relationship aspect of the show would have benefitted greatly from more time, but overall the show was a really great short watch with a lovely romance between the main character. I ended up much more invested in them than I thought I would, and the ups and downs made this a fantastic watch.

É preciso dizer que minhas expectativas eram bem baixas, em meio a um mar de BL's, era apenas mais um, com atores fofos que ia contar uma história bonitinha. Como eu estava enganada... a história tem um drama profundo, me arrisco a dizer que existe um tom melodramático que nos ajuda a entender o drama psicológico que ocorre na cabeça de SiWon, enquanto ele coloca suas maiores dores familiares em seu filme, sua história de vida, os problemas das famílias dos dois protagonistas sem nenhuma romantização, principalmente SiWon, pois aquilo que o moldou, agora é seu projeto de vida. Ele literalmente pegou o limão e fez uma limonada. A sinceridade dos sentimentos demonstrados e o quanto isso é transmitido para nós de forma real, e ao mesmo tempo gradativa e leve, não tem aquele excesso incômodo de clichês e personagens desnecessários, ou histórias paralelas que só ocupam tempo de tela. As críticas ao modelo familiar, sociais, entre tantas outras são gritantes, e nem são críticas veladas, são escancaradas mesmo. O casal principal tem um romance sem muitos obstáculos, além deles mesmos, podemos ver o romance na perspectiva dos dois, mas o amor deles é lindo, e o mais lindo é ver que na hora que eles se aceitam eles simplesmente se entregam ao amor sem maiores dramas.Outro ponto que eu gostei muito, me fez entender a mente dos meninos, foram os monólogos que sempre explicavam os sentimentos deles, o que eles estavam pensando. No aspecto técnico, atuação, filmografia, fotografia, ost, química, todo o conjunto trouxe um belo resultado. Com certeza recomendo essa série.

At first, I wasn't too sure if I would like the drama, it took an ep or two to get going for me, but once it started peeling back the characters' layers, it got really interesting. Especially once we got into Si Won's background, as revealed by that spiteful older student.What I really loved about this little drama was that both the main characters made mistakes - either they were knee-jerk reactions (Si Won) or good intentions going all bad and awry (Da Woon) - but they always owned up to them and apologized. Maybe not right away and maybe they had to stew about them for a while but they always did. Communication, what a marvelous thing!
Also, for two newbie actors, they were really good and I hope we will get to see them in more dramas soon. Especially Jo Hyuk Joon got to me with his deep, smooth voice. What a voice that was!

Sweet BL story about growth, acceptance and self-confidence
A sweet BL drama with a consistently sensical storyline and clear writing choices. It was a more quiet show reflecting on rather deep topics such as acceptance, self-confidence, rumours and doubts.The story, built around a central conflict, was paced quite well. Even though it is a short series (11 episodes of about 15 minutes), it managed to show appealing characters developments and also to provide appropriate context to the viewer to understand some of the emotional injuries sustained by the leads. Too bad that given the length of the series, it was not possible to develop deeper some of the interesting secondary characters.
The acting was okay. The chemistry between the actors could have been a bit better but they still had quite a bit of very cute moments supported by a nice soundtrack and good film making direction. After a first half quite platonic, the second part of the show increase the speed of their relationship in an organic and natural way, still staying on the soft side. This made perfect sense in this atmospheric and melancholic drama.
I would recommend this to people looking for a more profound BL romance and that do not mind watching a show with a more subdued ambience.

Might be a "NOT A ROMANCE" series
The romantic story in it was really blurred. Not a clarification why and how the lead got to know the other was in love and why he suddenly accepted him.BUT!!!!!!
I need to appreciate the relation with the families. I think the direction was most focused on that and I clearly would give that a 10/10.
kids thinking parents aren't enough in their way and parents working hard to give their kids everything. Both two are two different things needing a different approach. But I loved it how they portrayed that story.
Watch the series not putting more hope in the relationship of main leads, but watch it fir the later story.

So underrated!
I hate how underrated this show is! I swear it's so good?? It's totally a game changer to Korean BL! They set the bar so high! The chemistry, the acting, the storyline, all perfect!I love how the characters actually communicate, they talk about the problems through.
And are we gonna talk about the silhouette scene?? Totally a game changer to all other bls!! They need to step up the game!!
I'm blaming IQIYI for releasing all the episodes in one go! They could've make way more bigger sound if they released 2 episodes/week. I curse you iqiyi.

Me gusto, tengo que admitir que el primer capítulo me aburrió pero ya cuándo la seguí la serie remonto. Los personajes son muy queribles y tiernos, principalmente siwon que lo amo y el actor actúa RE BIEN, LA ESCENA QUE ME LLEGO AL CORAZON FUE CUANDO LLORA CON LA MADRE, MUY BUENA ESCENA ME TRASMITO TODOS LOS SENTIMIENTOS.También tengo que decir que no me gusto como resolvieron el conflicto y supongo que fue porque tenian que resolverlo de manera rapida pero no me gusto, igualmente deja un mensaje de que hablando las cosas se pueden solucionar. Es buena serie y va a salir temporada dos si no me equivoco, la espero <3

Eventhough it has no original storyline its worth to watch
Blueming is one of my personal favorites just because of the great acting and the general feeling of watching it.It doesn't have like a never seen before storyline and jet you won't get tired of watching it. It has some comedic aspects as well which is always a delight.
It's realistic which I value a lot in a drama and somehow it just pulls you in :)

Top 5 best KBL
Usually I get annoyed by the short lengthened kbls but with blueming it just works. It’s simple and sweet. The problem between the two main leads makes sense and isn’t just an overreaction between the two leads like a normal BL. They way they they don’t take long to make up but also open to es h other was also good. I liked how the last episode it’s literally just the two main leads making up and then just having a relaxing day with each other. The script writes doesn’t try to throw any more unnecessary plot lines in. One of the best things in general about this show is the lack of unnecessary plot lines. Very few KBLs do a good job with realizing the small time frame they have and making good efficient of time with it. Overall tone of my favorite BLs in general and I’m always rewatching it.
