Non-existent sugar-coated plot
Firstly, I wanna tell you that I got all hyped last year because of this show. I even read the whole novel to have understanding when I started to watch. However, after 6 episodes, I felt that there was something off regarding the plot. Moreover, it coincidentally aired alongside a meticulously-written wuxia drama 'A Journey to Love' and also my exams. You can see, I need to divide my time to watch both shows (but eventually siding with AJTL and abandoning this one).The plot is kinda non-existent, if you ask me. The main characters do nothing aside from eating, singing, traveling, cooking, and voice dubbing. To me, it is quite cliche (reminded me of Fox Spirit Matchmaker's childish script). ML is an omniscient/know-it-all god. He can do everything from being a voice dubber to singer, doctor, and chef (a green-flag boyfriend, but too illogical, it will very hard to encounter such a guy these days). As for the FL, she is okay-ish, nothing irks me about her. The other characters are funny and always love to tease the main leads tho.
Despite the awful plot, the acting is decent enough. I mainly watch for Zhou Ye. She embodies the role of Gu Sheng/Sheng Sheng Man very well. However, I think she is better off to badass roles instead of being cute little girl (for instance 'Word of Honor', 'Back from the Brink', and the upcoming 'Legend of Female General'). My first time watching Tan Jianci and I'd say he nails his role as Mo Qingcheng/Qiang Qing Ci (btw, he's also a singer). Kudos to the supporting casts too.
I watch with my volume turned off so I skip the singing part. I'm not sure about the OST too so a seven point will do for the music.
The reason why I'm dropping this is because I'm not a very patient person. Too many sugar-coated and lovey-dovey scenes will make me sleep for sure lol. But, if you like this type of show, just give it a go. However, if you're looking for a well-craved plot, go watch something else.

An Empty vessel
This drama could have been better but it’s just boring and blah. There is no story here. Yes there are many dramas about th couple fall in love but they had substance. This one not so much. The ML is far too good to be cast in this drama and all the FL does is smile and eat. They both just smile at each other and talk about mundane stuff . How much can you watch this for 33 episodes. There is nothing going on there. The FL is a woman child and there is nothing interesting about her. The ML is too mature for her - there is absolutely no character development nothing. Just weightless fluff. I usually don’t dig such stories and I am officially doneVond je deze recentie nuttig?
