Could have been good if they focused more on the romance and the main characters
This show is very weirdly structured. They spend so much time in side stories that go nowhere that by the end, I wasn’t really that invested in the main couple. Well, at least not until the time jump. The cast is overall good, with highest praise going to Nut.I don’t really understand the role of most of the supporting cast in this show. We need the mom to have all the family drama and someone to care for Phat at home. And me need Dream so we have the connection to the supernatural world. But Nuan get’s so much screen time for nothing. She’s not a good person, she’s doesn’t really care about anything and her one “punishment”, after causing a lot of trouble, is not getting Kinn. If she didn’t existing, and Phob just ran aways from home because of anything else, would give us the same end result. The guardian spirit of the house might be important, but he didn’t need to have a connection to Nuan, adding to my last point.
The story is kinda simple, we don’t actually get must mystery about Phob’s death. We don’t hear about the fact that he was involved in an hit and run. Also, the way this show bends the rules stablished just a few episodes before is unbelievable. In one episode we clearly see Phob and Phat not being able to touch each other and the explanation for that. Then, on episode 7 Phat is laying on Phob’s leg and they are touching like it’s nothing. No mention of it being nice to finally touch or them being surprised. Only on the following episode do we see Phob asking the guardian spirit about the fact that they can touch now. I truly believe the show did that just so they could do the sponsored scene where Phob is applying a hair treatment on Phat.
Now, the family drama with Dream and her dad, and all the alien stuff with Luck… It did not deliver anything at all. We keep hearing about Dream’s dad, and in the end he’s just a post it note. And after hearing about Luck’s parents being, possibly, adducted by aliens and he seeing two weird flashes, we get… nothing. Am I supposed to be hoping for another series focused on Dream and Luck to learn about their mysteries? Sorry, but I’ll pass.
Now, for the good part. I have to admit, the time jump to adult Phat telling Phob his story was nice. It’s a plot device that can work in a situation like this human/ghost romance. It was nice to learn that Phat managed to live a fairly good life, get and married, but never forgot Phob. It was also, obviously, very nice to see them reunited in the end.
By the way, I’ve never seen a worst reedit of a show as the one that was upload in the official Youtube channel. They literally just cut several scenes to reduce the runtime. It's impossible to watch Something in My Room on Youtube.

Weirdness at its finest
Decided to watch this show with low expectations. A classic romantic-horror drama that broke the norms in most paranormal stories since the ghost here can be clearly photographed and even had sex with a living human. All throughout the story, aside from getting bored from the slow phase of the sequence, I can’t take the acting seriously. Almost all of the cast can’t act and fell into below average skills in terms of acting. Nut somehow slightly improves compared to his performance during Oxygen the series yet he still can’t maintain the certain emotions needed for the story. The actor who played Phat mostly delivered his scene with a heavy breathing tends to derive it into being emotional. Poor acting performance, a big NO NO for a semi-dramatic show. The creepiest thing about this show is not the ghost or spirits but the actual humans themselves. Hailing as the weirdest character goes to the landlady. She is insane and needs psychological treatment for her obsessiveness to Phob’s father. Installing CCTV at the house which she allowed others to rent was irksome. She even had the audacity to give an attitude to Phat’s mother then eventually they became best of friends which was unbelievably accepted in reality. The guy who stated that he saw some alien kind of stuff is just a waste of screentime.
Plot keeps getting weirder and weirder in the worst way. At first, the show was fine until they offered such silly plot twists in the story. Some dramas with cliche storyline are much better than this one. I can’t help but to fast forward every single episode. I lost interest and felt so much complicated feelings on how badly the rules of the story were implied. On the good hand, the girl bestfriend is the only likable character from the show who can also act good.

Contains symbolic life and death lessons to behold upon
I really loved seeing Nut playing Phob here, it shows how he is improving in his acting. The way he handled Phob's personality and expressions as well as the turmoil of emotions his character has to go through into this self-discovery path is amazing. He made it in a way that grows on us viewers, we find ourselves cherishing Phob, just as much as Phat does.It his hard when the secrets begin to unveil and the truth comes out, reality starts to sink in by each and every episode.
We are able to see that there is no turning point, or a possibility of a happy romantic ending.
But then again this series was never meant to be a typical BL story or focused on their potential relationship.
It was more like the voyage of learning to love and let go, of self-healing for both the dead and the living. To be able to let go of the past and the pains one carries within their soul in order to be free from guilt and try to cope and move on.
"Trying to forget you is harder than trying to remember you." - Phat
We can think of Phob as being Phat's first love in that sense, intense and like most ephemeral. Either good or bad, it's always unforgettable. He came into Phat's life with the purpose of seeking for his help, but in the end they both helped each other in their own special ways.
Phob gave Phat the chance to try to pursue his dream despite failing to keep on trying. To make a living, to be more brave and optimistic despite failure. It's a part of life. And Phat helped Phob remember who he was, he helped him reconnect with his past, and learn the truth behind his life and find himself. He also helped to stay away from the darkness by keeping Phob close.
Most of all I actually enjoyed the connection they both created through the days they were able to spent together.
"Should we go into your dreams?" - Phob
"No. We should say goodbye while we're awake, we've been in our dreams for too long" - Phat
The dreams where they met at first were always symbolic. But as I remember what the guardian spirit warned Phob when he first used it, that the more he dwelled in Phat's dreams the more dangerous it would be for both and mainly for Phat... I started to realize how that eventually ceased from happening. They stopped meeting in there, gradually, the more connected they felt and the more close they've got. To not need to meet in such a state where danger could lurk in the dark corners of the mind.
'Something in my Room' is somehow different than other paranormal BLs such as 'He's Coming to Me', this is a bit more darker, almost in a thriller like format to keep the viewer on his toes with the climatic suspense they try to pull of here. It also carries more symbolic value and that dose of reality until the very end. Endings are always hard to get by, mainly because they fail to keep up with the expectations or even the consistency of the plot. But surprisingly this one didn't, at least not for me. It showed the only way out, and the aftermath. Giving in a way a sense of purpose to each character who had their own individual path to follow. I liked how symbolic the ending is, that we may consider it a sort of happy ending for both of them.
Every episode feels like symbolic emotional rollercoaster, the more we learn about Phob.
Plan did a great job as Phat, but Nut as Phob definitely stole my heart and show with his friendly and pure role.
The true scene stealer at some point it had to be Green. I swear his role here as Ben was beyond words. I think he really gave his all into it, even though it was a support role that showed up temporarily into the plot. It held that amount of emotional grief and pain throughout his actions, his theatrical performance, the powerful dance and his belated confessions...
Really and eye opener, both in the drama and for him as a rising actor.
The OST is as weary as the climatic vibes the drama tries to sell. Somehow it works.
It's not a horror genre per se, but a light thriller in the making. The intro is a great though.
Supanut's song ' Just like a Dream' is really cute, with meaningful lyrics and with a happier vibe.
I recommend giving it a go. Endure the first episodes, if you enjoy symbolic messages than this has plenty to go from. This drama is mostly made in a sort of slow and attempted spooky pace, it's supposed to be a voyage of the soul after all.

Y'ALL THINK IT'S “HE'S COMING TO ME wannabe”, NAH, IN A GOOD WAY!!!!!
This series is imperfect but really touches with the values or essence of life and death. This underrated title gave me sobs and teary eyes. I can say it brought a lot of He's Coming to Me memories all throughout but hear me out. This is not trying to be like that series, it instead touches a different ground. The plot might not be unique but is rather compelling and concise. Figuring the plot out is as simple that you don't need to venture the rocky terrains of your brain to think what's going on. The beginning of the series seemed similar to He's Coming to Me but as it progresses, the tension and plot twists show up precisely. It's not like they're giving you many episodes with nothing's changing or going on instead they reveal each plot twist and tension along the way.The writing and the direction of this series is outstanding because it's not really trying hard to be an amazing series, rather they're keeping it simple and clear which really worked as it should.
I applaud the main couple NutPlan, especially Nut being more expressive of emotions unlike his past series Oxygen. We can how he stepped up in terms of acting and how well he portrayed Phob. Plan is, rather an applaudable actor too especially because I think this is his debut series being a main lead. Plan really portrayed his character really well too. The main lead really worked and their chemistry is great. When it comes to the other cast I think I like Took (Phat's mother) here than I did as the hypocrite mother from My Tee Series. Here, she really did well. The girl (Dream), I think in this series, is needed as Phob can't really go in a spiritual ritual by himself alone. I really like her character. There's nothing really special about her but she fit in. Her boyfriend, nah, he's jealous and fishy though he's understanding but Dream is better off single, so that's that. The actor who portrayed as Dream's bf is bland I guess. He's like emotionless throughout the series so he's the least likeable characters there. Green's character (Phob's ex) is, I really can't help but think, he's suspicious. I always thought he have something up in his sleeve like he's the bad guy in the series but glad I'm wrong. The clairvoyant/rental house owner lady is like Green's character. Those two characters made me hesitate to trust them. They're like villainy but not-so or the other way around, especially when she set up cameras in the house to watch Phob and her mother to be freaked out by Phob.
I enjoy the series with the number of revelations shown in the series such as the enigmatic lady being the daughter of the so-called guardian spirit of Phob, Phob's suicide, the affair of Phob's father and the lady I mentioned before. It was really built well concise and straightforward. We also learned that Phob's mother was terminally ill and in the footage she begged Phob to let her rest in peace which made me realize that Phob's father did not really pull her life support, therefore he's innocent.
I really love how it all went down to forgiveness and acceptance that in reality nothing stays forever but the memories and our love towards our loved ones. I thought they will emulate the ending of either Peach of Time or He's Coming to Me but nah. I really love that Phat got old and is also terminally ill after her mother died. When he died he finally met Phob waiting for him so they can join each other in the afterlife. It's bittersweet but that's reality. Nothing stays even ourselves eventually we will die. It's just that keeping precious moments with the people you love.
I really commend the people behind this underrated gem. I strongly recommend this such an underrated treasure out there.

Melancholy and the missing ring
I was absolutely sure I won’t write this review, but I couldn’t stop thinking about this series whole night. I was left with an uneasy feeling and a veil of melancholy. In general, the end cannot be defined as happy or sad, it is just somehow bittersweet. I cannot find the better word at the moment. The scenes and aesthetics are wonderful. I love the costumes a lot and a few episodes left me speechless, mostly because of the emotions that overflowed me.
The episode with the theater performance is masterpiece.
One detail caught my eye at the end of the last episode, I was looking for the ring on Phats hand. I understand why it is not there but I was hoping in the last scene he would wear it.
Overall, living lonely life that Phat was left with after Phobs passing - broke me. But the lack of sadness once the Phat realized he is dying of cancer (knowing that he will be reunited with the love of his life), made me feel a little bit calmer. Dark parts of my soul loved this a lot. I will not forget this series, the flaws are so unimportant because the impact the whole story left on me is much stronger.

Sad but happy at the same time
It takes me a months to finish this series because it's too long to watch this, but I enjoyed every bit of this. Yes, the first ep is kinda boring to watch and the fact that this is too long, it felt like there's nothing to be hook by this. I really wanna drop this because I have so many bls to watch to but since I already wasted my 1 hour time in this series I decided to watch this day by day and I'm glad that I actually finished watching this but for what cost? sad hour? sadness in the middle of the night? T.T... btw is anyone of you know the score music used here? The background music I mean? I really can't get over it. They said it's a collaboration from Epidemic sound and Banana Sound Studio but I can't really find it on Epidemic Sound's youtube channel becuase they have a thousands of musics T.T *Please comeback here if you find the score music because I've been searching for it so long.. T.TStory: A new atmosphere, not so kinda new concept, and definitely not a college school bl. I enjoyed this series. I don't have any memories watching this beside from the ending T.T just like I said It takes me a months to finished this.
A normal person falling to a ghost, Phob is a naughty ghost but sweet at the same time. Phat is a introvert guy that never tried something new in his life. (I think they're kinda match). Will they be together untill the end? *watch it because I forgot some part of this and I don't want this to be tag a spoiler XD..
The ending. THE ENDING???? for me It's fine
Acting: if it's overall 8/10 but since I got hook by the ending 10/10 for me.
Music: please Banana Sound Studio and Deehup Studio upload all the score music used here!!! I'm begging!!!! 100000000/10 T.T
Rewatch Value: definitely..... I don't know how to feel about this after watching it again? :/ 6/10
I don't know if I'm gonna recommend this but since we're here already... If you want to watch something not bad but not so good bl drama I think this the right thing to watch to? :/

I'm amazed and in tears.
So I've just watched this Series despite the mixed Reviews and I'm prod to announce that I don't regret any of it. IMO one of the best Series of 2022!Before I say anything about my thoughts, I BEG of you to NOT watch the cut version. Yeah you heard that right, there's a cut and an uncut version. I have watched the first 3 Episodes on YouTube, to then see in the "previously" sequence of the 4th Episode scenes that I've never seen. I even skipped through the previous 3 Episodes to see if I really missed something... and I didn't the scene shown in Ep 4 was not in the previous ones. I then switched to Dramacool and skipped through the first 3 episodes again, and what do I see? SO MANY SCENES that were just left out on YouTube. Some were so important, that without them, you either wouldn't get what's happening or just couldn't relate to a character. So please, if you want to watch this wonderful Series, watch the uncut one. It's available on Dramacool and on bilibili.
This Story is very well written, I honestly thought that it would end on a very sad note but it ended very realistic and on a happy note. Of course a ghost who lost every his memories of his old life will have SOME sentimental note (but really, i was crying so much bc of the last 2 Episodes, so get them tissues ready!)
The actors also did a great Job, the kissing scenes weren't awkward at all, the actors really get the chemistry across.
It is not steamy at all, just a very emotionaly and cute love story, but also very thrilling. I've watched episode after episode because it really has me hooked.
The Music is also very good, the Intro doesn't have a Song but a very nice instrumental which I find very mysterious and just fits the vibe. Though the Outro and the little comercial break screens have a song, it's still good and I also have it stuck in my head since then.

Definitely an extra ordinary bl with nice story
At 1st I thought this might be a regular old fantasy bl, but i was wrong till I watch it . I know many viewers are more into nudity in BL's but I'm into stories. This story was great, and it showed a special bonding between a mother and a son. That coming out scene was very iconic. So i wanted to see a bl about ghost and something like this, and here it it. Cast was great, and their acting was also great. Definitely worth watching .I know people will not see this series cz of some popular shit, but hey popular doesn't mean those are actually good, I'm telling you those bl can't bring any new specialty to itself. But this type of underrated series did bring so much specialty to itself just proud of it.

A Surprisingly Haunting and Emotional Drama.
My rating is a bit subjective —- I'm a sucker for old school ghost stories and have always had a certain liking for books and movies related to the paranormal and humans.9 is definitely an overblown rating for a production such as this, but I might be one of the few people who had no trouble following the plot. (I watched the Uncut version.) And mostly, Something In My Room gave me a strong sense of nostalgia as it reminded me of the Mediator series, Anna Dressed in Blood, Hotel del Luna and Shadowkiss.
Most of such stories have repeated tropes, myths and endings. This might also be the reason why I liked this series a lot. One note for viewers who come for the "Romance": the drama isn't romantic per se. It is rather the side dish that comes along with the ghost mystery. If you are a fan of old school romantic ghost novels that we've heard a million times, this drama is perfect for you to binge through.
Phat and his Mom Chris move into a new home following his dad's permanent retreat into monkhood. Phat, who still struggles to come into terms with the separation instantly has a strong ill feeling at House No.88, but his mom refuses to listen to his very real concerns about it being haunted. Taunted into renting it by a weird neighbour/housekeeper Aunt Nuan, they attempt to settle in. Until Phat breaks down for real and seeks help from his friend Dream in order to find out more about the haunting. The ghost happens to be Phob, who is unfortunately an amnesiac. He needs Phat's help to find out who he was and move on from the living realm in peace within 49 days.
The first time I heard of the 49 day deadline was in Shadowkiss by Richelle Mead. Meg Cabot's Mediator series dealt with the concept of the dead staying around for a while, or wandering aimlessly until they find out the reason for their haunting. It even has the same premise: a ghost haunts her new bedroom and she falls for him. Trouble was that she did not know why he was still around. And would she keep him with her for her own reasons? Or should she help him and let him move on?
If Susannah Simon was a certified Mediator whose job was to purposefully help ghosts move on, Phat is the forced mediator who slowly warms upto Phob, who undoubtedly is a prankster and the only genuinely funny character in the entire drama. (Probably because he was an amnesiac.)
Something In My Room is not just about finding out Phob's true identity —- it dealt with heavy themes such as separation, death, goals, parental love, and the importance of life in general.
Phat and his Mom's relationship was a strong one. I adored how they really cared for each other and how Phat was ready to share all his secrets with her, whoever outlandish it might be. I absolutely loved this aspect of the show. Yes, somethings can't be revealed without stirring ill emotions, but their genuine understanding and support for each other is a highlight. Both the actors nailed their roles. I particularly liked Phat's 'introvert, but secret extrovert' attitude. He was funny in the beginning, but he is definitely one of the most loneliest characters I've seen. This is a largely negligible point, but I've seen "heteronormativity agenda being pushed into everyone" arguments. Personally, from my observation, Phat starts appreciating and falling for a person based on how close he was and how much he knew them. Not because of their sexual orientation or looks.
Phat's friend Dream was interesting in her own way. I've heard that she was badly written, but I think they randomly added the plot in to show how difficult it was for her to accept herself and her father's deeds. Also, as I said, I'm a sucker for ghost tropes, which might be the reason this part did not annoy me. Luck was the only character who was really "off". He piqued my curiosity, but his real trouble was with himself.
Ghost stories, especially long ones, come in with filler content.
Phob is definitely the real hero. Mostly, because when we begin the drama, he is a fun loving jester who has zero idea about himself. This slowly starts to change as the story progresses and we begin discovering bits of his memories. Kudos to the actor who played him as there were emotional scenes that were just plain hard to watch. (Apparently his past role in a BL romance left many viewers hopeless, but I guarantee that this one can change your mind.)
Luck was one character that they could've done away with. His sceptical view of events and his own trauma appeared conflicting to me.
Production wise, it's evident that they were short on budget. The editing is not perfect. On episode 5 and 6, there is a play performed by a character and I still do not know what was real and what was fake. Or I might just be too stupid to appreciate his art.
There are scenes that appear to be still missing, particularly in EP1. Product Placement was minimum, but when it did appear, they did not even attempt to hide the promotion. Nothing is prim and polished. It irked me so much that House No. 88 was always dark at night. Yes, Phat's mom was out of the province, but that doesn't mean that the electricity went with her, right?
The BGM was beyond fantastic. Particularly the synthwave that played during the first time that Phob meets Phat in his dream and the finale.
Extra round of applause to the screenwriter for the very satisfying conclusion. The FB scene is one of the most bittersweet moments I've seen on TV. The finale can be interpretted as either sad, bitter or happy. But, it's definitely an ending that nobody would easily forget. This is definitely an easily bingeworthy watch which I would highly recommend to lovers of ghost stories.

A bit Slow to Start
So even though I found this drama really good, I did find it slow and often dragging. This is a sweet rom com showing us the value of loving while being fully aware of the fact that you will soon part ways, at first I was like really a ghost with amnesia and the falling in love part was for me a bit on the unrealistic side , but I carried on watching it. he actual script adds too much nonsense and unrealistic scenes/sub-stories that just don't match.
This series is going above and beyond the fantasy world. I find the series to be boring, wrongly structured and very very slow.
So I guess I feel disappointed but I mean to each their own, lots of people have seemed to enjoy it.
Overall: This is a NO for me
