it was a bit too short :(
The general concept is one that's really intriguing, but the run time per episode was just too short to really develop a nice plot with more facets to it. The characters lacked personality and really only existed to serve the plot. There wasn't much development in terms of getting to know the characters so they appeared very flat and boring. The first five episodes I had wondered if they forgot to put the comedy tag because the whole scenario and lack of explanation as well as the characters' demeanors with each other had me laughing my ass off. The last couple of episodes I did feel moved when Yudam remembered what happened in the past (loved the historical garb! they were so pretty <3) and then watched the love of his life die before his eyes again by the same person. But, other than that, there weren't very many high points to the show. Like others, I'm hopeful that there will be another season so that maybe they can be fleshed out a bit more, but I highly doubt there will be. Sweet.. but too short
I don't really have anything to add from other reviews.The main characters all did a good job with what they had to work with. What I really don't understand is the view that wtchrs want these short shows. There is so much they could have done with this, but they turned it into just a sweet, short story with only a little emotion. Nothing is explained, kisses are sweet, but there is no passion, too many blank looks and a lack of a really solid storyline.
Maybe it's true that many manga's do not make the best stories for series, or whoever is making them into series isn't really concerned with what the viewers want, or maybe they just don't have the budget, who knows.
I am not the only one who longs for more bl's.... but they need to be as high a quality as other dramas. And this one is not.
I hope things pick up for 2023 or I may have to give up on bl forever.

Good - in the right mood
Here are some cons and pros:Cons:
-The acting is mediocre. Not the worst, though.
-It's way too short for it's story. We don't even know what happened to Denis! Why is he the way he is?
The story wanted an action but it didn't have the time for it.
-The characters are kinda dry.
Pros:
+The ending broke me, in a good way. (But it ended way too soon.)
+On the other hand, when it comes to fluffy love story it's really good - perfect example of "short and sweet" - 10 episodes with like 12 minutes of action.
Overall: good drama, there must be a mood for it.

Had potential
I read the manhwa, and I like some of the changes they made, even the flip at the end but the series left out some critical details that some of the character's actions did not make sense. They never explain Denis' purpose or why he kept saying the Director always abandons people, etc. I get why they did not show the moments from the other lives they lived, but even a montage could have helped explain Denis' behavior. It had a lot of potential, but ultimately it left me scratching my head. I would still recommend it as a series to watch, but if you have a lot on your list, I'd say it is not one to make a priority.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Great Story - Just too Short
I love supernatural stories and this one was very interesting. I was hooked from the first episode. Both lead actors did a great job convincing me of the story. The death scenes were so well done and had me crying both times. Denis was also amazing. He played the part perfectly.I only wish it could have been longer. 10 episodes are okay but 10 minutes each (minus opening and closing)? Really? That is shorter than a typical movie.
You really had to fill in the details of the story but at the end I had it figured out. I just wanted to see it acted out. Plus, I would have liked to have seen more of why Denis was such a mess. I felt bad for him.
I enjoyed this. I have less tissues now. Watch it. Just know that it is short.

assista se vc estiver entediado, talvez funcione.mesmo tendo tão pouco tempo por episódio, são bem mal aproveitados, com cenas chatas e repetitivas, o desenvolvimento é bem ruim, poderia explicar muito mais coisas, a única coisa que parece funcionar é a boa dinâmica dos protagonistas, mas mesmo assim não adiantou muito,, pois não me apeguei a ninguém (nem a história) as vezes parece que eles tentam criar um clima meio goblin mas não funciona só me fez rir ou ficar entediada!

What was the point of this?
The story felt bland and monodimensional, without tangible character development or a plot. It's a light-hearted and quick drama to watch between darker stories.My major issue with this drama was the abundance of plot holes and the lack of closure the story—and the viewer—needed. This could have been addressed had they only increased the episode length and put some effort into writing a script coherent with the premises.
And no, I cannot accept that, as a viewer, I had to be left alone with my thoughts, trying to fill in all the holes the scriptwriter couldn't care less to amend.
In conclusion, this drama was a waste of a good and quick-paced story that I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
PROS:
MCs are eye candy;
Respect, communication, and willingness to adapt and overcome issues... Kinda
CONS:
Not a refreshing setting;
Plot holes;
Star-crossed lovers + love that spans lifetimes;
Characters acting out of their characters for no apparent reason

While it's not the best Korean BL out there, it's also not the worst
Another series has been completed. And while it wasn't what I was expecting, I can say that I liked it to a degree. It started off drawing in my attention, getting a little muddled in the middle and, personally to me, ended on an okay note.Could it have been better? Most definitely. But I must say, the ending isn't really predictable (a HEA) and I guess that's why I like it.
Pros (with some spoilers):
♡ The acting of the MC was good in all of the episodes as they were able to carry me on an emotional journey.
♡ Learning about the past lives of Min Yu Dam and Seol Dong Baek gave us an understanding on why the director was doing what he was doing.
♡ The ending also went a different direction that I thought it would as now Seol Dong Baek is the one who knows about the past life when he didn't previously. And now it is him who willingly wants to date the director and not leaving it up to destiny.
Cons (with spoilers):
♡ Character development or in this case the lack of it
♡ What was the purpose of Dennis character? Cause he had some serious issues that needed to be resolved and he needed professionally help for those issues.
♡ And what does Dennis mean tha Min Yu Dam uses people? Was...was he and Dennis an item previously? Or he felt that Min Yu Dam used him professionally and was now getting ready to replace him with a new act?
♡ In the early part of the series, something possessed Seol Dong Baek. What the heck was it, because that wasn't explained properly.
At the end, I give this series a 7.5. It had potential. It just was ot able to met it.

Great storyline but fell short of execution
I was sold on the synopsis of the story, loved the main leads and how their story grew, but i felt robbed on the last episode as it felt rushed leaving me with an unexplained open ending, also i didn't understand Denise's character as it was not explained as to how he's entangled with the director and his mental capacity(his character felt forced on Seol). Before I forget, also why did the director stop buying dinner as per the title of the story and the whole premise of it.All in all i hope there will be a season 2 as more needs to be explained and explored.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Una serie muy dulce, con unos personajes adorables y la historia bastante peculiar, me gusto demasiado, es tan corta que desearía mas de ella, te acabas esta serie en dos segundos y cuando llegas al final te deja un sabor agridulce donde tus sentimientos se dividen y solo quieres mas para volver a verlos juntos para siempre.
La recomiendo bastante si buscan algo sencillo y romántico, pero a la vez corto que te entretenga lo suficiente para pasar un lindo rato viéndola.

one of the saddest dramas i have ever seen
i watched this last night and oh my god… just… oh. my. god. i thought this was going to be a lighthearted fluffy BL, but what the heck did i just watch!? most dramas don’t make me feel emotion, i just watch because i’m bored, but this one? this one had me on the floor, SOBBING. when i tell you i had to do a meditation exercise after episode 10, i mean it. i burst out in tears, it was super dramatic, but it felt right. for what the story was about, and for how it was acted, crying felt perfect. i was so lost because i was genuinely convinced that the story was real, and now for everything to just- be gone???it’s an emotional roller coaster. i really wish i would’ve read the reviews before watching, but im kind of glad i didn’t, because if i saw that it was a sad show, i wouldn’t have watched it. i’m so glad i didn’t read, and watched the show blindly, because this is one of the BEST BL dramas i have EVER seen.

Disappointed
I was going to give this a 7.5 because it lacked a bit of flavor but for that ending, it deserve a 6. An, ' It was all a dream' is the worst thing that any show can do. It is lazy writing. I am so disappointed cause I like the first few episode. This series also didn't really do well with the drama and the supernatural part. Also the 'villain' was so fucking boring, he existed to just be a hurdle to the couple and he didn't even do that part well. We didn't know anything about his character, throughout the series he was just a whiney bitch, so why was there the need to put him there anyways. He contributed little to nothing. It was all lackluster and to top it off it have only a 14 mins run time, if you minus the recap of the previous two episodes. Like that was so unnecessary, you already have little run time, why waste it recaps. Who asked for it? A series can do well even if it has little run time. A very good example is 'Blueming'.
