cute found family college youth show with too much side plot
this show had such a good vibe and was a cute college show with very cute characters that ended up feeling like a found family.notes:
-YOU DID NOT CLOSE THE SHOW BY HAVING THE SQUAD AS OLDER PPL PERFORM THE ROUTINE AND THEN BREAK THE FOURTH WALL BY PANNING OUT TO SHOW THE CREW AND THEM BOWING that actually was so cute but it broke me bc I actually did get emotional watching g the side by side
-what I mean by side plot: I liked even loved how many different couples there were to look forward to like the quiet girl and the dorky guy do not remember their names but some were just too much! wasn’t very interested in the bar owners storyline or the mothers storyline or the mystery unfolding, in fact the mystery was so annoying to me bc I just wanted to see our squad have a good time! I think these side plots bogged down the shows quality when it could have been simplified and there was also a random ep where they were being filmed?
-love the male lead actor but the character was just not compelling at all hate to say it. kind of made me root for the second lead but in honesty wasn’t rooting for either that hard, the female lead actress killed it though
-many cute moments loved the atmosphere most of all minus the thriller element but likely would not rewatch

maybe not the best.. but I liked it
I guess if I was to judge it objectively, the drama isn't very thoughtout in terms of the plot. the love triangle is frustrating and the mystery isn't very impactful especially towards the end. but i lovedd the female lead and how bright and energetic she is but also how unapologetically she is herself. the side relationships are also really cute.i love how supportive and close the team gets and i feel that is an opportunity that not many people get. to me its very wholesome and heartwarming.
the ost and whole concept gives me coming of age and it really makes me feel nostalgic. looking at the banner and poster it kinda gives me motivation to be as determined as them.
even though it has it pitfalls, with some cliche kdrama writing, i really liked it. however if these things upset you, you probably shouldn't watch it.

Worst school drama I ever seen
I haven't watched any school dramas lately poor written..... If you write somuch potential in the drama.. but what is the writing.... Draggy love triangle... Trend from 90s.... Obsession SML... Immature fl... Poor ml... .. side cast also not effect to the plot.... I still not understand why they break up... I dosent fell any chemistry... ...,,,....................................... No character growth at all...,.,.........,.,,,........................................,,.........................

Cast was very good. They were a great pair but the plot disturbed the rhythm of romantic element. Such great visuals in single drama made the drama promising the mystery element was also great but the episodes were almost the same the confusion of mfl over her love, the idioctic gesture of sml and the mml being the greatest green flag of all times which was the only interesting thing of this drama but also annoying.
The side plot of romance between side characters was the only delight in this whole drama

This show is a train wreck but I can't seem to look away
INCOMING RANT: The main lead, Jungwoo, has the personality of a tree. Not only this but him and Haeyi have almost ZERO chemistry. Like they don't even feel like friends. They just exist. Then there's the second male lead, Sunho. And sweet Jesus, the fact that people think he should be with Haeyi is concerning. Haeyi already rejected him, yet he continues to approach her. And to make things worse, when Haeyi is VERY drunk, he kisses her?! He literally took advantage of her. I mean, Sunho is just a walking red flag for these reasons: he can't take "no" for an answer, continues to approach Haeyi with romantic intentions, and takes advantage of Haeyi when she's drunk. I mean, why would anyone think that Sunho is good for Haeyi? Or for any woman for that matter. Anyways, I don't really ship Haeyi with any of the leads, but if I HAD to choose, I think Jungwoo is much better for her. The main redeeming factor for this show is the interesting story and mystery aspect. The whole creepy stalker thing leaves you on edge. I love watching the episodes so much . The story is so good and I really loveeeee this show .But then there is a but ..
the entire love triangle is so frustrating at this point .. the second lead is so annoying I’m sorry .. the end of episode 7 made me so mad , he’s getting on my nerves more and more each episode , he got rejected so many times and he knows she don’t like himmm. And he knows she’s in love with the main lead so whyyyy HES KEEP DOING WHAT HES DOING . just let go man fr
Expect of the second lead I literally love the main lead with her and they’re the cutest thing to exist please be together next episode Do hea yi and park jung woo ☺️☺️☺️

no geral é um bom dorama, principalmente para assistir quando quer algo pra passar o tempo. diversas coisas me irritaram e achei a história muito rasa. sinceramente, tem partes que nem precisavam estar lá mas parece que colocaram só pra concluir os 16 episódios. o final foi bem bonito para cada personagem e me agradou bastante, ainda bem que insisti até o fim mesmo passando por ódio algumas vezes. os personagens são extremamente cativantes e foram o verdadeiro motivo por eu ter insistido mais em cheer up.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

if you want to give comfort to yourself, watch this drama. expect to skip/fast forward some scenes
This drama would be perfect above all when it does not take so much longer to drag the plot of the story. So i'll make this note short, since what I like is just the beginning and the ending, not the whole plot of the drama. Now I understand why this drama was rated below 7.8 out of 10. I guess a 12-14 episode would be enough for the story to be told.But the drama was quite a good vibe to watch since it's giving the viewers a positive energy and vibes while watching, with a little heart touching a bit. For me, the plot seems to be so much dragging, like its out of the place. The love triangle must be fixed even better than what the drama shown to us. What I just liked is the jolly vibes, with moral lessons of teamwork, hardships, relationships or specifically, the youth. The casts seems, eh okay but I don't think for me especially Hae yi's attitude seems to be pretty annoying but pretty makes sense to all of the team cheerleading. In a college setup? with her personality? I don't think that's common to see, its rare. Specifically, too much fantasy and does not focus more of reality. Some areas from the drama were not that clear as well, especially when the cheer captain was stabbed, then I never seen such thing that it was rushed and no justice being served, just a response from the university saying that they would focus more to the safety of everyone, like what the???
To make this drama give a chance, I think its really beneficial to some kdrama fans who were beginners. Honestly, I felt that I had this feeling of mine that there is something missing. But the vibe from the story makes me get interested. I appreciate the cast as well in this drama since they worked so hard for this drama to be successful. Not to be biased, but for me this drama deserve high or low rating, I think an 7.5 or 8 out of 10 would be enough.

~ the prophecy seems very interesting from the beginning to the end
~ acting was pretty clear, especially Han Ji Hyun gave so much spotlight to her acting skills from crying, acting crazy, and such.
So I would say, good for beginners and recommended if ever you need to freshen up or lighten up your mind and enjoy watching this drama since again it's mostly full of happiness as well.

For me, finishing kdramas is actually pretty rare so I was shocked that I was able to actually finish this without forcing myself toCons:
I think the writers were aiming to create a combination drama where there are many different genres in one drama, sort of like Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. However, it was no where near as well executed but it did have potential. The writers tried to mix comedy, thriller, romance, slice of life and action all in one and frankly it was a poor choice and could have been presented so much better. The plot can be quite unrealistic at times which makes you end up disliking a lot of the characters because of their unrealistic and stupid decisions. I know a lot of people disliked the SML and so did I, but honestly his character was kinda irrelevant to me since he is the SML after all. I honestly don't mind an unlikeable SML because than i wont get second lead syndrome.
Pros:
I really enjoyed the friendships and other relationships in the drama, i think that is my most favourite part overall. I also liked Hae Yi's character although she could be a bit annoying at times, i think her character was unique compared to your typical poor FL character. I also really liked Hae Yi's family and her relationship with her Mother, I'm so used to harsh and mean kdrama mothers so it was nice to see a kind and funny mom for a change. I especially enjoyed our ML and FL relationship, they are honestly so cute together and since it is a friends to lovers trope i think it made it even cuter.
Overall, if you are looking for a cute college romance i would recommend this, just make sure you don't take things too seriously and don't have extremely high expectations.

A drama that inspires youth alongside with romance and friendship...
tbh i was first swaying whether to watch this drama or not cuz there were some reviews which said it was boring and stuff. But i really liked to see Bae In hyuk in another drama since my roommate is a gumiho. i must say that i really rrally enjoyed this drama that had mystery init too... the cast was super perfect and they made passion in cheer leading . one of the things that i really like is the main couple. they were not either too cheesy or clingy . i reall loved the two actors who gave life to their roles and made the show smoother. honestly i was confused at first who was the male lead bcuz both the leads were so promising . but finally it ended in the way i wanted hehe :))if you are looking for a drama to cheer you up CHEERUP is one of the best options

Poteva essere molto carino, invece è stato solo molto confuso
Questo drama era partito molto bene. Leggero, frizzante, ambienteuniversitario con una protagonista simpatica esuberante e ben definita, anche il suo interesse amoroso si delinea fin dalle prime puntaate e anche lui è ben costruito anche se meno approfondito. Il terzo incomodo pure compare da subito ma non è fastidioso e il trangolo amoroso al centro del drama anche se tirato un po troppo per le lunghe, specie nelle puntate centrali, ci sta e non esagera mai, nè infastidisce lo spettatore. Anche l'idea di ambientare il tutto in un gruppo di cheerleading è carina e interssante perchè il cheerleading coreano è mooolto diverso da quello americano. Tutto fila bene, anche la trama secondaria leggermente misteriosa con quegli strania ccidenti è interessante, ma poi dopo circa 5/6 punate tutto rallenta si blocca la trama degli incidenti non sa più da che parte andare e il cheerleading quasi scompare. Non si esibiranno più si alleneranno solo fino alla fine del drama. Il ritorno dell'ex capitano della squadra che sembrava dover chiarire tutto o almeno essere la chiave per il mistero da risolvere, sembra invece del tutto inutile. Due personaggi vengono usati per sembare colpevoli, ma non lo sembrano e lo spettatore resta confuso. E lo è ancora di più quando a tra puntate dalla fine quando finalmente il triangolo amoroso si è risolto e la coppia si è formata con grande sofddisfazione, il drama decide di inserire venti clichè nelle ultime due puntate: rottura della coppia principale, rimettersiassieme della coppia principale(nella stessa puntata), salvataggio della protagonista femminile da parte del protagonista maschile che rischia la vita e finisce in ospedale, rivelazione del colpevole psicopatico e suo arresto (nella stessa puntata), malattia terminale, salto in avanti di tre anni. Peccato perchè poteva essere un drama molto carino ma non riesce a brillare perchè non sa bene che direzione prendere e ne prende troppe. Se almeno lo psicopatico avesse avuto un movente serio, o fosse stato scoperto dagli altri tramite una loro indagine, se le coppire secondarie fossero state di meno (sono ben 4!) e più approfondite.....Tanti se, e tanta confusione. Un colpo mancato ma gli attori sono stati tutti bravi. La mancanza più grave: non far esibire il gruppo nella puntata finale. Sarebbe stata una chiusura col botto.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

One of the best 2022 dramas I've seen!
Cheer Up is a beautiful drama about youth and cheerleading, as must watch if you love romantic comedies and dramas set in a school environment!Story: Super interesting! Once you watch you get invested right away with things like the three prophecies, how the female lead joined the cheerleading team etc.
Music: Super happy and catchy! There's no doubt these songs will get stuck in your head, especially the ones that the characters perform on stage!
Rewatch Value: Although this is a really great drama, I doubt I'd watch the whole thing again as there are a lot of scenes I'd rather not watch again specifically the ones that seem unnecessary such as the romances between side characters.
