Really Good
I really like this series it introduced me to pondphwuin couple. I initially didn’t watch this for the low reviews but binging it now I love it! It’s a body guard story yes nothing crazy there but the chemistry was so good with the actors. I really enjoyed the story it had those intense moments where I did scream at my tv. And then it had those soft lighthearted moments. Really think GMMTV are the kings of making bl because they all be good.,

Went beyond my expectations
The plot is quite cliche but I like how there are very few plotholes, which is quite rare in Thai series as most Thai series has ending that looses the plot. But NLMG is very well written and well scripted. None of the scenes felt like it was not required or exaggerated. It's a show quite comfortable to watch without cringe scenes. I liked how even the jealousy scenes are showcased in a great way. The plot twists were predictable but what really threw me off was Palm's mother's death. I did cry when Palm left the letter for Neung. That was also unexpected. The emotions of each characters are portrayed well and totally valid. I love the color grading of the drama. It's so aesthetic. Phuwin is a great actor. Pond has improved so much. Overall it was a great drama.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
People are too harsh on this show/ stop comparing it to kinnporsche!!!
Ok so I’m not gonna sit here and say that Never let me go is an amazing show that you need to watch. But the reviews are not doing the show the Justice that I think it deserves so let me share a pretty neutral take. Not to harsh but not sugar coated.Let’s start with the good:
-pondphuwin chemistry never feels forced, very good.
-the times in the show where it’s supposed to be emotional, really does a good evoking it.
-palm and nueng’s relationship is not perfect and is even problematic at the beginning, but the way it progresses later on is very natural and doesn’t feel rushed or sudden.
-basically the whole island arc deepened the characters which makes you feel more connected with them when the conflicts happen near the end.
-episode 9 is amazing and single-handedly brings this show up one rating
-side couple is very cute and loveable
Ok now what makes this show not the best:
-plot holes: why is palm like freakishly strong and can fight and shoot a gun if he’s a fisherman living away from the city??
-nuengs uncle could’ve been caught and stopped so easily even though they were tryna pretend he was rlly powerful
-weak and predictable antagonist (I thought maybe there’d be a twist cuz it was laughably predictable.. but no)
-nueng and palm are both annoying sometimes and don’t get each other. When palm pulled that running away stunt after nueng did it it just felt so out of place and unnecessary. (Unlike when nueng did it)
-Ben and chopper relationship rushed and not enough screen time.
-ending was very very predictable
Btw: GUYS!! palm being a body guard for nueng makes sense.. he needs someone his own age to actually attend the school plus palm kinda owes his family his life. Also, I think palms mom wanted nueng to have a friend more than anything and that’s kinda apparent when she’s pushing for palm to joint nueng with his activities: him being a bodyguard is just a perk. (But I do agree that nueng being so badly bullied in that school is incredibly unrealistic)
Also sorry but I have to give a little section to episode 9: because the emotions in that episode felt so real and were so realistic and it actually made me tear up a little. I was surprised because the acting throughout the show was very average but it was like all of a sudden they bumped it up for this one episode. So yeah that’s all I have to say on that.
SO:
Never let me go is a good show. Not amazing, but certainly not bad at all. They successfully created an entertaining and emotional show, that fell flat due to plot holes and rushed story telling. I wholeheartedly believe that if the writers had more run time, and more time to improve the script, the show would be amazing.
Please don’t be to harsh on it, all the actors did amazing and the show was a genuinely entertaining watch!!! Unnecessary hate in these reviews!

Despite an interesting premise, the execution fell flat. The actors seemed disconnected from their characters, which made it hard to get invested in the story. It’s a shame because with better acting, this could have been a much more enjoyable show.

Second half fell flat
So I wrote this long review and accidentally refreshed the page, so I'm going to sum this up quicker.This drama had potential. The main characters had great chemistry, and from the start the way Palm looked at Nueng set off fireworks. Where they went wrong was with trying to make a plot without fully committing. It didn't feel like organized crime, but instead just like some solo bad guys being shady. I feel they may have avoided actually going down that path because it would've had them acknowledge Nueng's father's involvement in those dynamics, but who knows.
I appreciated elements such as Chopper's redemption arc (but his begging for forgiveness in the hospital was horrific timing), Mam's growth (truly don't think her end got the weight it deserved), and Maggie (seriously, Maggie was not letting anything slide... BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO HER?! Literally fell from the planet after her visit to the hostel.)
I think the cast carried it for me, but what is making me consider dropping the rating even lower is one my most detested tropes -- deciding what your partner needs/wants without ever actually taking them into account or talking with them. Unfortunately, this drama had it happen not only once, but at least twice (in large ways, many more in smaller ones). The end also felt like deflated balloon after Palm did it, so I didn't even really feel committed to most of the last episode, which is sad because the beginning and middle actually really captured me.
I'll watch more dramas with the mains for sure, but this one was just okay for me.

While it had its moments, I felt that it was missing something
I honestly binge watched this series because of Our Skyy 2, which premieres on Wednesday. The MC here will be the first couple. And...what I thought I was going to get, I felt that this series kind of fell short on.I mean, the acting is good and the music is addictive. But the storyline wasn't presented properly as it felt choppy in certain parts. Also, some of the things that were happening just made me want to scream.
And then, unfortunately, I didn't click or feel something for nearly all of the characters. Only one character I can say that I really cared for and that was Palm's mom. She admitted that she was selfish, yet she still loved her son. Heck! She gave up her life for Palm and Neuengdiao. Also, I was getting a wee bit bored with those last three episodes. And then that ending for me? Yeah....personally I just wasn't feeling it.
My overall score is 6/10. And here's hoping the two special episode from Our Skyy 2 will make me fall for these characters .

This was almost a 9/10
Contrary to the title, towards the end they leave each other a lot?! Like why do they fight so much to be together and keep leaving each other notes that they are leaving? ? The third act breakup was just too much and ruined the last episode for me. The couple had JUST broken up and gotten back together so why do it all over again?! They could've focused on the justice and a nice epilogue of the boys with their own hostel. Instead it was all about them breaking up and getting back together AGAIN bc despite their many conversations they keep insisting they're a burden to the other and uno reverse break up before they FINALLY get back together for good.Last episode aside, this series is amazing. It's entertaining, emotional, and fresh to me. The acting was so well done, you couldn't stop the tears from running from my eyes!

Amazing story
At first I was hesitating to watch this. But after watching fish upon the sky - I got to know the cast and their comfortable chemistry.Some people compared this with KinnPorsche.
But it's not too much similar with KinnPorsche.
The drama has its own power.
Plam has gentle nature. It is Plam or Mork(Character name in Fish upon the sky) , I love both.
Nueng is sometimes immature but sometimes reasonable. His character development is amazing. And I really love the chemistry they have here.
For me this drama is more than worth watching.

The BL romance which we deserve
When you demand on the romantic BL stories the accuracy of a 'real life situation', have you ever thought: is it always logical and 'adult' in real life? And haven't you ever blamed the classical Hollywood stories about the straight couples for 'non-realistic plot'?What is Never Let Me Go? It's a beautiful and a little painful classical 'prince and his bodyguard' story, but it has very good ideas about self-acceptance and the partner acceptance, despite the deep and co-dependent feelings. It often happens when we're young and in love... especially when this love is pure, deep and real.
I liked Nueng and Palm in general, especially their chemistry and how they looked in quite innocent love scenes. They are teenagers, but not children, and they behave quite adequate, despite all the illogical (but absolutely normal for the film) situations with teen-bodyguard etc. Phuwin and Pond are quite promising actors ib my opinion and especially Pond has very interesting emotional spectre onscreen. I liked both moms, Thanya and Mam, and the second couple, a little annoying Ben and quite interesting Chopper showed us rather natural types of late teenagers.
I liked the music, despite I prefer rock and the vusual is absolutely great, I adore the colors.
So, I can say it's a really good romance with the elements of action and drama, and I'm planning to rewatch NLMG soon.

A tratti… Vegas e Kinn
Allora, non so come fare la recensione a questa storia. Perché parti mi sono piaciute molto e altre… insomma. Posso dividerlo in tre parti: la prima, dove mi hanno irritato ogni singolo personaggio, la seconda (o luna di miele) che è carina e la terza che dovrebbe essere una specie di Kinn e Porsche light. Insomma overall non è male, consigliata e gli attori sono bravi e hanno molta chimica (addirittura ho rivalutato di parecchio anche Perth, che non mi aveva mai convinto fino in fondo). A parte le musiche che, non so per quale ragione mi cringiavano leggermente in inglese devo dire ben eseguito. Solo… il filtro seppia veramente? Il problema si pone perché io sono passata da ViceVersa che è pieno di colori a Never Let Me Go che sembra un film ambientato nel Messico dei peggio spacciatori… non so, quei toni anche soft erano perfetti per la parte luna di miele, ma avrei voluto qualcosa di più intenso nelle altre scene (anche se ho apprezzato le scene dove i grandi enti erano sul viola/rosa). Вот и я решилась на отзыв, насмотревшись отзывов "критиков". Довольно забавно выходит, что большинство критиков проводят сравнение с "КиннПорш"ем из-за жанра криминала и мафии. Но, как чаще всего бывает, забывают, что это абсолютно два разных произведения и сюжета. Можно связывать сезоны или связанные произведения, но не абсолютно два разных сюжета. и так об игре и лакорне. С актерской игрой было все восхитительно и было приятно мое удивление насколько Понд и Пувин выросли в актерской игре. Здесь более взрослая и отличная игра. Про Пертра - ту без комментариев. Браво парень. ОСТ. О мой Бог. Эти двое главных героев проделали прекрасную работу, а их голоса и текст песни до мурашек приятны и слушаются снова и снова. Химия. Химия всей четверки была восхитительно милой и прекрасной. А такие хорошие поцелуи были не кой вишенкой. есть конечно и вопросы и дыры в лакорне. Есть и не понятные моменты - зачем это было и для чего? Но тем не менее, это хороший лакорн. Папочке телохранителю, было желание порой по голове постучать))) но он цепляет. Концовка была ожидаемой и это было уже заранее понятно после не которых эпизодов. Но это правильная и комфортная концовка.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Slow but realistic and overall nice
The show at the beginning is very cute and you have some sense of what the main characters feel for each other and it goes back and forth of them getting jealous for a while because they know they can't do anything about their feelings in their current situation especially when one of them has a secret boyfriend. After the two flee because of family complications and they go to the hotel where we see more of their relationship become official and no, the one with a secret boyfriend is not cheating because they unofficially and officially broke up with each other if that makes sense. Even if they gave the two characters the same type of jealousy role back and forth in the beginning they add wholesome moments between the two andgive information that will later set up the plot you just have to get past the first five episodes for all the gears to move. And just a side note about the soundtrack but please tell me i'm not the only one who hears an instrumental of Noel in the background that absolutely kills the serious mood that the actors are trying to play out and why have I heard it in other bl's for example till the world ends during the same sort of situation.
