CLW is for silly people like me!
SOO... when I said to people: I will watch CLW (Cupid's Last Wish) they were like "It's bad", but let me tell you the truth: I think people were still in A Tale of Thousand Stars.I understand since this was the second series of EarthMix as a couple, and people were with high expectations since ATOTS was a fucking masterpiece, but CLW it's not bad. It's not something FUCKING GOOD AND MEMORABLE like ATOTS, it's a rom-com, and with fantasy. The main point here is being funny and silly, and they did this Very Well. I have so much fun watching this. It was so enjoyable and fun. It's body-switching but in a funny way, not in a hard and sad, so it's great! I don't like body-switching but as I said, it's so fun!
About the acting, Earth (Korn) and Mix (Win) are good, as always, they are good actors. But for me, who really caught my attention was Jan. Her acting was AMAZING as Win and Lin. I already knew her but damn, she's incredible! She's so underrated and that's so sad. She's like, amazing. For real.
The soundtrack it's so good and funny, I loved it.
Cupid's Last Wish is a funny rom-com and what I say is: Don't watch with expectations. Actors can do very different roles with very different plots, that's literally acting. But if you don't like rom-com and are expecting something deeper, go watch another title. CLW is for silly people like me!

EarthMix Meal Dates
Remember that travel show TayNew had where they travelled around Bangkok eating food? This was basically that, but with EarthMix. They travelled around Thailand and we pretty much sit and watch Mix try to inhale the entire country into his stomach, with Earth taking care of him and also with Mix being a little bitch, collecting holy water in milk bottles to switch back with his sister, like how Mario goes around different worlds collecting coins to save Peach. There was also a subplot with their family farm and other family members trying to sell it. (that plot went no where either) It was a fun, road trip type drama that keeps you entertained. The last two episodes were angsty as hell, so prepare for that. Mix and Earth did their thing. White played a doctor that had WAY too much free time on his hands. The body switching plot wasn't too heavy. It was actually pretty well done. When intimate scenes came into play, they used Mix's body to remind us that yes, this was indeed a BL. Also, is there like a clause in their contracts that only allows them to kiss in the dark or outside? LOL, it was like 1000 Stars all over again. But yea, this is a good one.

A Journey of Character Development
Some viewers may drop this series because of the rough start of Episode 1 due to the explosive anger and rash move of Win, but try to give this series a chance like I did. I'll also try to relay my review with not too much of a spoiler for the entire series.Anyway, to start off with this review, I'm actually part of the group who is really not fond of the body switch trope. However, I tried to be open minded about this series even if it stars the famous actors, EarthMix.
1. Plot
> The story focuses on the journey of Win getting the holy water from the temples, along with Korn, in order to save his sister. The introduction had a rough start because of Win's resentment with Korn. But, as the series progresses, there were comedic moments between the main characters. Although there were scenes that were angsty, the ending wrapped everything about the story.
2. Setting
> Now, this one actually intrigued me the most since the series is first set on a dairy farm. It's unique because most shows that are being aired (not just Asian shows, but also Western shows) don't really cater much to the rural setting. I'm glad that we get to see a refreshing sight, how a dairy farm operates and this series also showcased some of the wonderful spots of Thailand. Since, this series was more of a travel or a trip between the main characters, it was fun to see them enjoying the ride.
3. Pacing
> The pacing is actually good. The 10 episodes of the series is perfect seeing that the whole point of the plot was a 7 day journey of getting the holy water. It started of well with the development of the plot. My only qualms about the pacing is the last 2 episodes of the series. I feel like it was just rushed and that they just added something to end it.
4. Characters
A. WIN
> Some viewers didn't like one of the main character in the series which is Win because of his aggressive temper and his over bearing attitude. I for one immediately gave him a red flag at the start of episode 1 because of his treatment with his sister which ultimately led them into a car accident and switching bodies at the end. If you really think about it in another perspective, it was due to his rashness that led them to that problem.
NEVERTHELESS, his character had a redeeming CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. If you'll watch it until the end, you'll see him apologizing and admitting to his mistakes. Afterall, the show primarily catered to Win's Journey in letting go of his resentment, understanding and realizing his faults as well as discerning that he wasn't alone, that he had people to help him.
At the beginning of the series, Win had struggled alone because of the burden in running the farm his late father had left. He thought that he alone was enough in managing the farm. In the end, Win realized the importance of what he was lacking and that was enough.
B. KORN
> Get a man like Korn. That's it. Lol...
Kidding aside, Korn undoubtedly, is one of the most patient and caring character I've seen in a series and despite how Win treated him, he still kept thinking about Win.
We see that both of the main characters are quite stubborn since both of them didn't want to admit the truth, but in the end, they learned that their words can hurt. Like what one of the monk had said in the series,
"When the mouth closes, the mind opens."
That was one of the turning point in the series that made Korn and Win realize how important their feelings were rather than the words they had said to each other : The words that intentionally and unintentionally created a drift between them.
Despite that, if you look at it in another perspective, both of the main characters had their flaws. None of them were perfect. Like what I've said above, Win is quick to his temper and Korn is too meek, and in the long run, it is due to their faults that they were finally able to understand each other. So, I believe that it wasn't entirely Win's fault.
C. MOTHER
> Can I just say that the mother definitely disappointed most of the viewers? I don't want to be rude but the mother in the story is naive to the point that it saddened me that she didn't recognize her children switching bodies. I don't want to spoil but, there was one scene in the series which really pained me. It was the moment in which she spoke to Lin (Win inside her body). She assumed that both of them (Lin & Korn) have feelings for each other and and she will convince Win if he wakes up to not be angry about it, especially with Korn. That one hurt because, at that point, we already know that Win is hiding his feelings for Korn.
If you'll watch it until the end, her actions is what led them (Win and Korn) having miscommunication problems.
5. ACTING
They really did threw a unique move with the body switch trope, it wasn't cliche or typical. I enjoyed watching how Jan portrayed her role as Win and it was smooth. She did a great job in portraying the character so well.
But lemme just say that Mix stole the whole show for me. He really did well in portraying Win - the different emotions and facial expressions he had to show in the series were a lot. The intensity and the sweetness of Win was done well. I'm pleased that Mix is getting better in portraying his characters. I just love the way Win and Korn sarcastically teased one another in the show. Their funny banters were so smooth, natural and comedic. It gave me quite a laugh and it overall balanced the melodramatic scenes of the series.
The chemistry of EarthMix is genuinely one of the best I've seen in BL Thai series. I still haven't forgotten about A tale of thousand stars and I'm glad that EarthMix is still growing strong. Cheers to them for more projects that they'll do with another in the future. They really don't disappoint. Their chemistry is just top notch. *APPLAUSE*
Lastly, Earth is definitely one of the actors who've been in the industry for so long and I'm genuinely glad that despite him being in the industry for a long time, he's still getting better. He doesn't sleep on his acting. We can see his improvements. Don't sleep on Earth, That's all lol.
Credits to Jan too, for starring in the series. She did well and hoping she'll get more projects after this.
6. PRODUCTION
I'm glad that the production is making progress. The transitions and editing are being done well and it made the flow of the episodes smooth. Their were some minor cut scenes that were still awkward, but overall, I'm glad that the production is steadily improving so that new viewers can enjoy and watch the series better.
7. CONS
I was expecting more of the ending in this series though. After the character development of Win, as a viewer, you'll be expecting more of the ending. Sadly, I felt somewhat disappointed with it. You'll find that the aunt and the uncle did not serve their purpose much.
And the title of the series itself got me questioning what was the point of it all. What's more, I find Win's friend (the doctor) to be just mehhh. Though he did have good intentions in the beginning of the show, he didn't really do much though, like with some of the side characters. I felt like some of his scenes were lacking too, especially with the acting.
Anyway, despite the underhwelming ending, the funny and sarcastic banters of Win and Korn, the sweet and good as well as the angsty moments of the two saved the show.
In conclusion, this series was a journey. There were fun, comedic and heavy scenes but it was good. Not to mention, the travel of the two main characters felt like a MUKBANG hahaha. Even so, the acting and chemistry are honestly the one that captivated me the most. EarthMix is not a disappointment. Kudos to the main actors for portraying their characters well.

Overrated? Underrated? Both?
How does a series get both such positive and negative reviews at the same time, with a range of polarized opinions being justifiable in many ways? For me, it starts off really well, especially with the portrayal of Korn and Win's closeness and Win's obvious but unsaid feelings towards Korn. Then Win's over-the-top reaction to his father leaving part of the family farm to Korn spoiled things--given how close he is to Korn and how well he knows Korn's character, why can't he accept his father's will or trust that Korn isn't someone who would covet his family's inheritance.
Yet, the series picks up again after the body swap when Win (in his sister's body) has to get some holy water with Korn. Korn's patience and devotion and Win's longing to be close to Korn again is engagingly portrayed without sappiness and with quite a bit of comedy instead, Mix is wonderful as Win, showing Win's impulsivity, his vulnerability and his rather funny jealous bitchiness (when he thinks there is something going on between Korn and another man). In fact, the cast is generally very good with their roles, but Mix stands out with his adaptability to the different demands of the character. Unfortunately, the graph plotting how good the story is takes a downward turn again. The twists in the story in the last two episodes are either expected or not very convincing though EarthMix remains very endearing throughout.
Ultimately, the story could have been stronger. Win and Korn are lovable, and it's nice to see their interactions and how their relationship is gradually mended. But this is not enough to elevate to series to the level of a classic. Some of the best parts of the series, oddly enough, are in the extra scenes after the ending credits. The brief scenes show Win and Korn's long friendship and their love for each other, which they dare not express. What we have are great parts here and there but when everything is put together, something seems lacking.
The body swap premise also seems somewhat unnecessary for the story. Win could be in his own body and still be made to go on the trip to get the holy water (say, to awaken his sister from a coma or something). This way, some of the potential ethical issues of Win and Korn's physical intimacy while Win is in his sister's body could have been avoided. To be fair, effort seems to have been taken to minimize the ethical conundrum because, most of the time, they are not behaving like lovers. However, Win has a kiss with Korn while still in his sister's body, and this raises eyebrows. And the scene could hardly have been avoided without changing the story significantly because it is linked to the crisis of the expectation for Korn to marry Win's sister later on.
Overall, Cupid's Last Wish is a fairly nice BL series. But the bars raised for Thai BLs in series like Bad Buddy, Not Me and EarthMix's 1000Stars, it can seem a little underwhelming.

Moonlight Chicken made me watch
was not interested in EarthMix acting before Moonlight Chicken. But after i felt in love with the drama went on watching spree.loved this one as well. The story was good, the chemistry over the top. However, was not Earth and Mix who stole my hearth in This one but the main female lead. she was just amazing playing.
Also i liked how they addressed the topic of parents not accepting homosexuality of their kid. Unfortunately reality is its easier when its not your child.
Looking forward for more EarthMix work

Thai flavor body swap romance
I decided to watch this because it's been a while since A Tale of a Thousand Stars and I missed EarthMix, it was good watching them work together again, and overall this was a cute watch. The story was fine, misunderstandings led to hate in what used to be close relationships, then an accident caused two siblings (Win & Lin) to swap souls and Win has to pair up with Korn who he now hates to go on a journey to ensure their souls return to their bodies. To be honest a lot of the buildup seemed to be for no reason, the misunderstandings don't make a lot of sense in the end. Kind of gives off a "what was the point" kind of feeling, or "if you knew that then why..", it was a bit of a mess at the end. I thought the journey was good and wholesome overall, but it all felt a little like we were waiting for some big reveal and then at the end it was just a bit flat.
Tha acting was good, but I think the characters were all pretty shallow, not a lot of depth or character growth. Win(Mix) grew a lot as a character, but it wasn't very believable, Mix is a fantastic actor, but this drama didn't do it for him. Their chemistry was just okay, I mean this is EarthMix here, they have chemistry just by being in the same room, but there wasn't any special closeness in this drama.
Production was good, pretty scenery and landscape, good quality shots, music was decent as well.
I wouldn't rewatch it, but that's not abnormal for me.
If you need an EarthMix fix, go ahead and give it a watch! It's a cute watch overall, but if you're looking for the show that makes you fall in love, try something else.

Just... good?
I decided to watch this for EarthMix despite hating bodyswap storylines but comments encouraged me and you know what? They were right. The bodyswap storyline was done well and I didn't really mind it.PLOT:
Overall the plot was solid and other than the unnecessary drama in the last two eps I have no complaints. The roadtrip concept was fun and the scenery was super pretty. The only reason the bodyswap worked was because there was never any doubt about who was who. They didn't drag it out or build it into a giant point of conflict, it was just something that happened. It was used as a tool rather than a main focus and that's why it worked.
ACTING:
The acting was good and Mix gave us another stellar performance. I felt like Earth's emotions were lackluster at points and I'm not sure whether that's due to his acting or the way his character was written. Jan (Lin's actor) was amazing and really surprised me. I'd only seen her once but I'm gonna keep my eyes open for her future projects.
CHEMISTRY:
As always, these two friends gave us a solid chemistry and a believable romance. I felt like the writing was a bit awkward in the last ep but they carried it through nicely.
CHARACTERS:
Let me start by saying that Win was a really hard character to like, at least at first, and I loved it! He was very flawed and the first episode was super hard to watch. His character growth was enjoyable and a big part of the show. I loved that no matter how shitty he was, he never did anything out of character. Every choice and reaction he had was very true to who he was. I really liked having such an imperfect main character.
P'Korn was lovely. I liked his character, he was just a solid dude. A good hearted, kind cook. Nothing much else to say about him tbh which might go to show a little about how he was written.
Lin's (the real one's) appearance was small and I didn't really get a grip on who she is. She seemed like a sweet girl with no will of her own which, meh, they could've done something more with that...
The aunt and uncle? Unnecessary. Honestly the show could've done well enough without them but they just had to bring in the mandatory bad guy.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
It was good. Nothing phenomenal, nothing amazing, just good. I mentioned earlier the stupid plotline that happened in episode 9 and it's the main reason I dropped a number down in my grading. They brought on this unnecessary thing only to end it in a conversation that could've happened without the plotline. It was useless and the show would've been better off without it but that's how it often is. We could've easily done just 9 episodes and ended it in a satisfactory note earlier on. I'm upset that the writers fell for another 'episode 11 curse' in that sense but well, what can you do.
There were definitely parts of this that I liked more than ATOTS but it's maybe not as good, overall.

Letting go of one’s anger
Like most people here, I watched it first for Earth and Mix, they are just incredible together. And even though it is not the typical BL, it is worth to watch. Yes, like most dramas/lakorns, there are massive plot holes but still, it will make you angry, frustrated but also happy.I read many comments about this lakorn before watching it, I felt like it wasn’t worth it, but it actually was.
At first, I felt really frustrated because of the way Win acted, he is completely and utterly hotheaded, to the point where it is impossible to understand him (at first). But as I kept watching, he felt so hurt (Mix has such expressive eyes) and I felt for him. He is the most ‘normal’ protagonist I saw since a long time… He is angry, moody… because it is his way of coping. And of course, it is frustrating, but it is also human… When I look back at his situation, with all the misunderstandings that comes with it, I completely understand where he comes from. Moreover, this story is not a typical BL, it is not just a story about two persons falling in love, it is a story about letting go of one’s anger. It is a quest and each meeting with the monks are meaningful !
So people are angry about the body swap, and I think that it was not really necessary. If they didn’t swap, Win could have still done this journey with Korn to save Lin, but for the sake of the story we needed MISUNDERSTANDING. Still, I don’t think that it was done badly. From the first five minutes we knew that they love each other, and this journey is NOT THEIR BEGINNING, it is just a way for them to get back together. Sincerely, they have always been together, the just couldn’t confess (but the did act as a couple). They couldn’t confess and the body swap was to fix this conflict.
Give this a chance!
I think that there was some plotholes:
- I really disliked Lin character… I hoped that she would just grow a backbone. And I was angry that Win treated her like that at the beginning…
- The conflict with the mother, felt, for me, unresolved… I mean, she did quite a twisted thing, and they just hug and it is better?
- Sooo much misunderstanding, but I guess we can’t have series without it…
- I’m happy that win only stayed 1 week in his sister body, because I felt like he would have ruined her life otherwise (poor lin, she is sweet and he is CRAZY).
PS : Korn is just sooo perfect, I love him, I love that he was willing to wait for his love because he knew that Win will come back eventually !
PS2 : The show should have been called ‘Win eating show’ because really, it was !

I love EarthMix, but this series was not great. There were many enjoyable aspects of it: the comedy was some of the better ones I’ve seen in BL, the premise and idea were intriguing and the setting was gorgeous. I especially liked the body swapping, Mix and Jan did such a good job in their roles! Also, the climatic scenes were great and really built up the intensity of the show.
However, this series suffers from lack of development. Earth’s character felt one dimensional to me, and Mix’s was very unlikable for a long time. It made it hard for me to ship them as a couple. Yes there are moments where we start to see them become friends again, but it didn’t feel like a natural progression to me. It almost caused me to drop the show as it made it boring and frustrating for me to watch.
Also wtf was the mum doing?! How awful! And then they just forgave her?!!

UNEXPECTED
I thought this series would be just a plain story where you know the story line goes and how it ends.I was sad at first because they premiered this series on disney+ and I lost interest coz I dont have access on the website.
But eventually Gmmtv posted it on youtube that's why I was able to watch the full episodes.
Though at first I just got curious how this series would turn out then unexpectedly some twist happens and I am enjoying every episode already. This series was good indeed. Please watch it. you will not be disappointed.

Cute and full of rewatch value
As always, everything is my own opinion and not intended to offend or upset anyone. (Let's be honest, I'm just rambling, really.)I'll be honest, I put off watching this because the whole switched body thing isn't really my thing; I feel like it's something I've seen a million times in all types of media, and I just wasn't vibing with it. However, because I love EarthMix and Janhae, I decided to suck it up and give this little series a chance - and I am so glad that I did, because this was such a fun ride!
I've said it before, but putting Earth and Mix together really is one of the best decisions GMMTV have ever made because these two just thrive off of one another's performances in a way that I find is rare. Throwing Janhae into the mix (I totally did not mean that as pun) was perfect because she and Mix really managed to pull off the switched body theme. Mix's performance as a girl took me by surprise; I genuinely was surprised the show tackled the idea of Win having to deal with having a period, and it was done in a really good way! Mix was fantastic, and I couldn't help but laugh because it was almost like watching myself when having to deal with that time of the month. I really feel like Mix deserves a lot of praise for just that performance alone.
The supporting cast were great, too, and I really want to see White with EarthMix again, because I feel like the friendship just transcends onto the screen so brilliantly.
This was a really cute show but it also dealt with serious issues without diminishing them; the way Win's whole personality and behaviour changed over money was something that I found rather realistic, even if it did seem a little drastic at first. This is definitely a show that has good rewatch value, and I really do recommend it.

A round of applause for this cast
Going into this series, I was a little worried I'd get confused with the body swap but I was glad that Korn and Non knew right off the bat that Win was in Lin's body so there was no hidden identity between the mains. It was portrayed really well and some of the panning shots where one moment it's Lin's body and then it's Win's body were done really well. They did it just enough times to remind us of the situation but it was also used really well to bring out comedic sides of the story. (Like when Lin locks herself in the bathroom and then just after when Win is experiencing PMS in the car by arguing and getting emotional, all the while Korn is sitting there like "WTF is happening right now?" Yet every woman watching the show is in stitches because, well, you know... some of the best comedy comes from the truth.)Speaking of which, I know this is a BL, but I was so incredibly impressed by Jan's performance. She was two completely opposite sides of the spectrum.. the hot-headed Win and then the mild, meek Lin. By the time Lin woke up in Win's body, we really didn't see much of Mix's ability to play that side of Lin before they fixed everything back to normal. But honestly, I don't think it was needed since Jan did a stellar job that really no one needed to compete with.
I'd read reviews and comments before starting where everyone was badmouthing the Aunt, Uncle and Mother. The Aunt and Uncle were obviously horrible people from the moment you meet them but I found I watched the series waiting to see what was wrong with the mom to make everyone hate her. Just know, you don't find out until the very last episode and don't bother trying to pick apart or overthink her actions throughout the show because it barely hints at her mistake. And that's the thing.. it was a mistake which she regretted almost immediately. Win also made a mistake by jumping to conclusions instead of simply asking and listening. Korn made a mistake by not telling him the truth sooner. Everyone makes mistakes.
This was a great blend of drama, comedy with a hint of adventure going on. I especially liked how it was set out in the country instead of in the middle of a city. The cinematography was beautiful and it makes me want to go see it in person. BL lovers should definitely give this a shot, it was so good.
