That was beautiful
Someone recommended this series to me. They must really know me because this was just perfect for me. I only give it a nine because ...my god ...my heart could not handle all those intense emotions.I could really feel their pain through my screen. Losing someone, especially a sibling, can really break you into a million pieces. And to find that certain someone who can put the pieces together is so rare, but this story was just beautiful.
Also that scene (yes, we all know which one) was beautifully done. It was sensual, sweet and sexy all at the same time and that's hard to pull off I think.
I've read that people don't think they will last after this series but I disagree. They just had this connection that you can't really explain even if you try to...I've seen couples break up who had everything in common but they just never had that ✨✨✨.
I'm really happy that the Korean BL's are getting out of their comfort zones so they can make beautiful series like these.

The Eighth Sense ♾️/10
I just wanted to say that this is now one of my favorite series of all time. A masterpiece! It’s amazing. After watching the first 2 episodes I was hooked. I knew that this drama is going to be something different. It’s all I love with a movie/series. The cinematography is beautiful. The eighth sense makes you feel the way the characters are feeling. When they’re hurt, you can really feel the pain. And when they smile, you get butterflies in your stomach. And the characters are portrayed in a really beautiful way. The character development is just perfect.I can relate to both of the main characters, Jaewon and Jihyun. And that’s a really important part in series. To be able to relate to a character. I love how they show mental health issues in a realistic way.
And I love how realistic the eighth sense feels. I love more quiet movies and series. Every scene doesn’t need background music. The actors makes us feel the way they do through their eyes, words and just amazing acting. I have literally rewatched almost every episode every single week since the first episode got released. Because it was impossible to wait 7 long days for new episodes. (Felt like a month) I just needed more more and more.
The last 2 episodes were perfect. I started bawling. I haven’t cried that much watching a series for a long time.
I wish I could watch it all for the first time again.
I’m hoping for a season 2!

A New Standard for BLs!
The Eighth Sense just came out with their final episodes on Viki and I have to say that I really really enjoyed it. The story was incredibly interesting, with good understanding and portrayal of mental health issues, I was definitely captivated from the first few episodes.Much like other Korean BLs the episodes are fairly long (around 30-40 mins each) which gave enough time for the story to progress without seeming like things were filler.
The performances of Im Ji Sub as Jae Won and Oh Jun Taek as Ji Hyun really stood out, with fantastic portrayal of mental health struggles by Ji Sub, I think this topic not covered enough, and this was handled well in the show. I really enjoyed the slow development of their relationship, from quite awkward but interested, to openly loving each other in public. I also enjoyed the transition that Ji Hyun had after the accident, as previously he was scared and timid, but afterwards he understood what he wanted and went for it.
The supporting cast were also fantastic — Lee Mi Ra as Yoon Won really gave off that big sister energy, and really cared for both Jae Won and Ji Hyun. Joon Pyo Gave off that main side-kick energy, and although I initially didn’t like his friendship with Ji Hyun, it came to be shown how much he cared for his childhood best friend.
The cinematography was also fantastic, making the scenes really beautiful and captures the feelings of the characters. There were one or two points were the cinematography was slightly weird in my opinion. One where the lighting seemed almost ‘dream-like’ in episode 7, when Ji Hyun and Jae Won stop at a rest station, even though this wasn‘t really a dream sequence — I assume this was just because it was overly bright on the day of filming. The second quirk was when Yoon Won was crying in Episode 9, which gave quite a long and intense close-up. Personally, I think this was a slightly odd choice since this close-up shot was not really used in the rest of the series (and might have been useful in some other scenes) and was used for a supporting character rather than a main character. For me, it felt a little out of place, but I understand why it was used. I would have preferred a slightly wider shot (with Jae Won cropped out), to show her loneliness. But again, this is more of a nitpick more than anything.
Lastly, I really really loved Episode 10. So many BLs that I’ve previously watched and enjoyed, made me feel like I just broke up with someone because a lot of these series just ends so abruptly. The main couple usually just kisses we assume they live a happy life, and then end of story. But I’m really glad we got to see the ‘aftermath’ of Ji Hyun and Jae Won reuniting again — it made for an incredibly satisfying close to the series. For that reason, I’m quite satisfied if this series doesn’t get a Season 2 as I think this was a neat closure. But it would be interesting to find out how Jae Won would navigate his mental health problems with Ji Hyun by his side and also his relationship with his parents. Although Jae Won did say he would never make Ji Hyun sad ever again…
Regardless, I really enjoyed the series, and would lone to have Ji Sub and Jun Taek back for future BLs (hopefully together again as an on-screen couple!) but I do wish them and the rest of the cast and crew, an amazing career! I will be watching both closely in the future!!

an experience (more than just a show)
I’ve been watching korean dramas for a while now (queer and otherwise) and this has to be one of the best that I’ve watched in recent years. I like how every aspect of the experience was thought out: when to use which colours, the background music (or lack thereof), the way the scenes were shot, the use of filters, and so on.The ending, which is often a hit or miss in dramas, was beautiful. I did think some characters got off a little too easy, but I’m really happy it ended the way it did. I cannot recommend this show enough.

best kbl ever produced
as the title says, it true and very much real. how long has it been since a kbl made me feel this way. tms,wyel and blueming really were the trio for me, nothing ever came close to this. but the eight sense? my lord I did not for the love of my life think it would be this good. the acting, writing,directing everything is just splendid for me that I have no words. lim is jun and oh jun taek really did for me. kings behaviour truly. they're THE couple. hope I get to see more of them through photoshoots or interviews and get all the fame that they truly deserve. lastly my fellow people from the district 8 we really made it, we survived and came out happily. it was a ride let me tell u that, it was not easy waiting for the new episodes. I'm gonna go around and distribute badges saying we made saying I survived the eighth sense lmao anyways lesson learnt I'm binge watching the next season cause no way in hell I'm letting myself go through that adrenaline again damn but. watch me tune in cos I. already miss my jaeji couple sm alreadyVond je deze recentie nuttig?

I don't write many reviews but i rrally felt the need to for this show. Everything about The Eighth Sense is just gorgeous. The story, the cinematography, the ligting, the music, the acting. I cried my eyes out multiple times but I do not regret a second of it.Just watch it.

Amazing, beautiful, cinema, life changing, breath taking, never seen before...
and etc and etc. You can't run out of praises for this BL. Korea really surprised me with this cause I didn't think we will be getting another amazing BL out of them after Semantic error and TMS. The plot, characters, ost and everything is just simply amazing. I didn't think that this would be this great. I haven't seen an trailers or was even excited for its released but when I picked it up cause I was bored and I was simply just left amazed. The plot is so interesting. A boy who lives under a mask saved by a country bumpkin who doesn't know anything. I loved how they found each other and simply feel in love with each other slowly. I loved the presentation of depression and guilt and how their isn't any cliches. I loved how their isn't any misunderstanding and the main lead tries to talk to the other main lead. I loved the Cinematography it has an indie vibe. I loved the chemistry between the actors. The actors really well in portraying these characters. I loved how the actors are so comfortable with each other and didn't shy away from a kiss. Another that KBL is infamous for are the dead fish kiss and this series ate and left no crumbs. I keep saying Love a lot because I just love love and love this series. This is literally now my favourite KBL of all time. I never thought I will see the day Semantic error and TMS will be dethrone but I am glad it did. It means that KBL is finally moving in the right direction. I can't believe we are living in this ear. Im Really Obsessed With This drama
Amazing.. It is insanely done ,was well written and shot beautifully.I really love this drama and the cast..The chemistry between the actors is so good..In every scene they have had together thus far you can sense a feeling of yearning between the two; the tension between them is very much there. JaeWon and JiHyun have already had more scenes than I can count on my hand that made my heart flutter. Every look between them has a spark. The chemistry between them only grows more and more after each episode passes. I lost count how many times i rewatched this drama..It would be 100000/10 for me..Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
One Of The Best Korean BL’s Out There !
I’ve only recently got into watching Korean BL’s so not to familiar with them as much as Thai or Filipino ones but I was caught by surprise with this series. The story feels more realistic than a lot of BL’s I’ve watched. It deals with mental health and trauma which is something I love to watch because it’s so realatable. The one thing that stood out to me was the cinematography of the series. It had a lower budget feel but it worked with this kind of story in my personal opinion. The leads had a very easy natural chemistry with each other it had a very slow burn feel to me were nothing felt too forced and it was just building behind the scenes. If your looking to start watching BL’s this is defiantly a good way to ease into BL’s unless you wanna watch one that is filled with so much cuteness. This one is mild which is nice because BL’s should have variety of times and not follow the same exact formula.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Очередной шедевр от Кореи! Романтика или все-таки драма? А может психология и реальность? Я была в шоке, когда осознала, что я нахожусь в этой дораме. в этой линии истории. Джисоп (Джевон) . Сначала мы видим его как крутого, популярного парня. Практически все ему завидуют и хотят быть с ним. Он уже отслужил, вернулся учиться, еще и глава клуба - ну мечта. Но это на "людях",а что же внутри его? Там зияющая дыра из боли воспоминаний, которые в принципе и не дают ему дальше жить. Даже психотерапевт уже больше как " свободные уши" , чем врач. Джисоп сыграл восхитительно. Я верила каждой эмоции. Ах черт, актерская школа Кореи явно побеждает с прошлого года все мировые школы. О Джун Тхэк (Джи Хён) второй наш персонаж. Актерский дебют говорите...Хм... Его персонаж тоже не так прост как кажется. Да деревенский парень, но он знает себе цену. Он уже настрадался в прошлом и приехав в большой город -он решительно настроен больше не давать себя в обиду. И защищается сильно, мудро и не кулаками - словом. Особо хочется выделить в этой истории актрису Ми Ра (Юн Вон). При всей "своей девки" по сюжету, персонаж сыгран потрясающе. Персонаж настолько натуральный и настоящий. Браво. А вот за Хэ Ин (Ю Джи) мне было обидно. Актриса отличная, ее игра в других дорамах шикарна, она живая, здесь, кроме последнего эпизода, это было бревно без эмоций и только повороты в сторону. ОСТы. Парочку уже нашла. Ищу остальные. Музыка как накал нервов, встряхивает и где надо расслабляет на " Подумать". Я точно рекомендую эту дораму, НО... ВНИМАНИЕ... Но не людям, которые хотят просто посмотреть bl как жанр или сладкую романтик. Так как вы точно упустите самое главное от сюжета и истории. Здесь нет много сцен романтики с героями, хотя игра, химия, тут чудесная. Здесь больше истории из личного дневника и записки на полях, которые как главные цитаты записаны героями. Best BL show ever!! We need season 2
The Eighth Sense is probably the best bl series I've seen so far. How Jihyun and Jaewon won me over, how the directors were able to get us into story doesn't happen much these days. The story, the dialogues, the lights, the music, the cinematography, everything was perfectly portrayed. The series has both happy and cute moments and of course bad and sad moments, but that's what I love about the series. I hope we will see a sequel, because both the main actors Ji-sub and Juntaek, the directors, but the whole team of people around the series deserve it! This is one of the best I've seen in a long time. This story is very balanced in every sense for me.Thank you so much for creating such a masterpiece. I experienced a whole palette of emotions, I understood everyone in this story.

Thank you for covering the topic of mental states, I am very familiar with this. Jaewon's character has a special place in my heart, as does Im Jisub, who is brilliant actor. I was drowning in his facial expressions, somewhere in his casual acting, somewhere it became hard and uncomfortable for me, somewhere I was ready to scream with happiness. Thank you. And thanks to Oh Juntaek, who played a character that really gave me a feeling of comfort, simplicity, and warmth. I was very pleased with how his character grew. If I were in Jaewon's place, I would also fall in love, find my safe place and want to keep it out of trouble)).
I liked the other actors and characters too. They can think, make right or wrong decisions, and they look real. And thanks to the insanely talented actors of other roles for such a masterful transfer of absolutely all the emotions that immerse you in the atmosphere, make the story frighteningly realistic.
Sometimes I forgot it was a movie and sometimes I forgot how to breathe. I think to feel this fullness, it is worth watching this series alone in the evenings.
This is very important to me and will remain in my heart forever. I can say this series saved me and prompted a lot of thoughts. As an artist, I found inspiration in it. And as an artist, I want to note how beautifully creators approach their story and what messages they bring to us. This is art.
I want to say a lot about filming and directing too. How wisely silence is woven into the dialogues, how skillfully the frame, color, light is set. The music fit in perfectly. For me personally, "Wetter" has become a very very important group. I used to listen to them, but as soon as I heard that their songs were included in the storyline, I started listening non-stop. They heal me.
If we talk about the chemistry and romance of the main characters, I can say that this is one of the most incredible, best, sincere, warm and at the same time intense relationships that I have seen. I can't find enough words to express ALL the LOVE for this couple who became my oxygen. I just enjoyed how the characters fell in love. How sensual their chemistry was, and how harmoniously they interacted despite the fact that they are quite different people. How differently they looked at their relationship because of life circumstances. But they knew for sure that they were falling in love, they clearly resolved all issues. This is a rather rare occurrence for characters to adequately perceive everything that happens between them and not resist feelings.
Dear creators of this masterpiece, I look forward to more projects from you! Thank you SO MUCH for this series. It was revolutionary. I don't know how long it will take me to recover from this movie. I highly recommend this series to watch! And not only from the point of view of bl (in this genre, this series generally occupies one of the first places now, in my opinion), but also from the point of view of the film itself. Bravo!
