very emotional ending
This is probably one of the best dramas I've watched in a very long time. In my opinion the acting was amazing, the actors chosen are very talented. The plot was also very good, I think it was probably a bit more realistic compared to other dramas. Also a warning, the end is very emotional, although I think it is an open ending it was still so sad. I cried so much, but i think that's also a sign that the drama is very well made.All these things are just my personal opinions btw so please don't get mad.

It made me feel all the feels
This drama is a wholeass experience.The non verbal storytelling was some of the best I've ever seen. There was so much that was said without uttering even a single word, case in point: the little, seemingly unconnected scenes at the beginning of each episode. Pay attention to them. They may seem inconsequential, but tell a whole story of their own when analyzed in the context of the ambiguous ending of the show.
So too was the case with how the passing of time was subtly but distinctly conveyed not only by the clothes the actors were wearing, but also by looking at their environment. I genuinely wonder over how long a period of time this was filmed, became the production crew can put actors in shorts and short sleeves in the middle of winter and pretend like they're enjoying a nice summer day, but how do you transition from bare branches, to trees in full bloom, to verdant and lush foliage to falling leaves? You can control wardrobes, but not mother nature.
I loved the OST, the plot of the drama, the cinematography and especially the main couple. They had such intense chemistry, and Se Jong in particular just blew me away with how much he could emote just by minutely changing his facial expressions. I liked him in Still 17, but he was amazing here.

a doona não seria a minha bias!
achei o roteiro desse drama bem promissor quando li pela primeira vez, infelizmente minha percepção dele não permaneceu a mesma enquando eu o assistia. achei muito difícil de me conectar com a doona, detesto personagens que fazem o que querem com a desculpa de que tiveram uma vida difícil. balela. o outro carinha principal é um bundão. não curti muito ele com a doona, simplesmente um dos casais mais sem química que eu já vi. os outros personagens eram mil vezes mais interessantes do que os principais. amei as referências ao Brasil! é muito raro ver esse tipo de coisa, ainda mais com falas em português (mesmo o personagem brasileiros sendo claramente um gringo). só consegui terminar porque eram poucos episódios.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
It was good until the ending came
At first i really liked it, the acting is perfect, and so is the plot, but as i came to the end, it kind of went down from it. shortly i wont really think to rewatch it, it is sad that the end ruined the good of the story. by the way it is my opinion and there are probably people who will think different from me.p.s why does it have to be 500 words 😭😭😭😭helppppp

WORTH IT
Okay I was super hyped up for this mostly because i LOVE suzy baes acting and I knew this was going to be a banger.Doona was an interesting concept for me from the start, i’ve always loved ‘celebrity/non celebrity’ tropes because they’re either tragic or a lovely love story.
The love between the main characters was a doom from the beginning, both of them so toxic going on and off and never really properly communicating, but i really loved the chemistry between the actors.
The first kiss in the show made me get butterflies, and thats really rare for me! I loved how Doona was the confident and dominant one and then later on when Wonjun got a little bit more confident, he started taking charge too.
But their love story was so short lived and yet so painful. I was actually really rooting for them, and i’m so sad that they didn’t end up together. I know it’s the harsh reality yadda yadda but c’mon!!
I liked the side characters as well, especially the side couple, I just kneeeew something was gonna spark between them, they were adorable!
Seeming how the show ended, I don’t think there will be a season 2, it seems pretty in the face about the ending. Even a time skip. They will always long for each other but never have each other, and that thought alone breaks my heart for both of them.
This even made me think how it would be a nightmare to date someone famous…imagine getting hated on for loving someone and then when you break up, you see your ex everywhere. Just seems like a nightmare.
Anyway the show is a really good quick watch!

Doona What!!
First you can never hang the whole drama on the fact that you have an Idol. Bae Suzy acting did nothing to enhance the drama . Doona character smoked cigarettes well, did sexy well, had zero chemistry with the lead & displayed the angst of stardom. Other than that unless you are a Bae Suzy fan could have left it. I watched because of the way Vang Se Jong performed in the series. He was awesome & the supporting cast did a great job as well. The ending was anti climatic but I found that the most believable part of the series. It did show well the angst between Doona & Lee Won Joon mostly because of Vang Se Jong's acting ability. Breakfast at Tiffanys's inspired k-drama
Doona is a slice of life drama with a very carefully built slightly melancholic ambience. Fantastic acting from Suzy and Yang Se Jong. This reminded me of Age of Youth, which I like a lot. Especially the second couple. Maybe it was somewhat difficult to relax bc from the beginning it was kinda clear there would be no happy ending. But all the time I when I was watching I was getting Breakfast at Tiffanys vibes. There were definitely similarities, but that just made me appreciate this drama more. Especially Yang Se Jong's character was very similar to Breakfast at Tiffany's male lead, outsider-ish, ordinary and rooted. Suzy's character was unconventional and slighly unbalanced like Audrey Hepburn in BaT. Also, both were tied to a man from their pasts. I really enjoyed this a lot and I think the writer and director created a very good, unconventional k-drama. I'd give a Daesang for Suzy for her role. I know more trashy and popular dramas will get the awards make the headlines, but I guess that's okay, since this was just right for me.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Started off great but wth happened towards the end
This series started well with a lot of potential but I didn't know why I suddenly felt disappointed.The casts are so cute together. It's not the best chemistry out there but there's definitely a chemistry among this group. The character development is a bit off putting though. During the first half, I kept being intrigued about Doona, who she is and why she ended up where she's at but then as her story unfolds, it didn't make sense at all.
Overall, there's 2 types of ending for me. 1) the ending that is so satisfying or mind boggling that I have to search more for it; 2) the ending that makes me go 'what the hell' and despite explanation, it still don't make sense. Unfortunately, this series falls on the latter.

bae Suzy u queen ?
Bae suzy is one of a kind, guys. she is versatile and pure magic on the screen. I have seen ALL of her dramas. and I have always loved her characters, always something new to offer and bring to the table. Never repetitive or boring. the drama is a good slice of life slow burn romance. the characters are ALL v lovablethere could have been some betterment in the execution and writing, bcs some scenes felt empty, and it got v slow at times, to the point it got frustrating. but this has value for sure. bae suzy defo brings so much flavor to it.

Love is not fair
Just finished watching the show and love is really not fair.this show has a hidden message and it shows that money and fame can get in the way of two people who truly care for each other.
the fact that the FL was so unstable, hurting the ML with even knowing is also messed up. the guy really wanted her but eventualy her fame stood in the way. one thing is sure he could have made some effort and not be giving up that easily.
great show but i think the ML should have a happy ending 😥

Empecé a ver este drama porque me llamaba la atención, pensé que no me iba a defraudar, pero desde el principio, lo hizo. Terminé de verlo por que no me gusta dejar las cosas a medias, pero la verdad, me costó acabarlo.Está bien para verlo en un día lluvioso de invierno si quieres entretenerte con algo, o no tengas nada exacto que quieras ver.
Algunos de los capítulos se me hicieron eternos aunque no son muy largos.
Quizá en algunas partes noté cosas forzadas, pero bueno, quizá eso solo sea sensación mía.
No es que me arrepienta de haberla visto, solo que me da pena que me haya defraudado tanto.
El OST es bonito, y los conjuntos que lleva Doona también.

Hermoso y realista.
Excelente reparto.Excelente interpretación de Suzy, realmente ves que su personaje se siente sola y vacía.
Sinceramente no me gustó esas partes donde se decian: dime si te gusto, dime si me amas, pideme perdon, creo que el mensaje principal del drama es el amor propio y al decir estas cosas se siente lo contrario, hacen ver que son dependientes de lo que la otra persona diga y sienta!
Buenos personajes secundarios, me gusta que no pongan a una tercer persona como la siempre odiosa que hace hasta lo impensable para separar y hacer la vida imposible a los personajes principales. Eso se agradece!
Buena trama, original. No es el típico drama romcom, te hace ver situaciones difíciles del dia a dia que sufren los idols, y las personas "comunes".
Me gustó el final, quedan bien pero no juntos, lo que lo hace muy realista, no todo se puede tener, así mismo lo dice Doona en una parte del drama.
Y los últimos 3 episodios se sienten muy apresurados, el drama es corto y hacen eso al final, queda raro y a la carrera!
