Why do people hate it? It's beautiful!
I know, I know, though people might be like " This drama is so problematic" due to its age gap, like an old man dating a teenager, but that's what make it interesting. And besides, the chemistry is just cute and adorable, you can't say anything about that.People also say about the " adult Sang Zhi" which she said she is already grown up but shows no sign of it, and even says about her baby voice. But like I said, this is an actress, Zhao lusi's natural voice is a baby voice, so you can't just blame the actress, or maybe blame the character. All the character act so well, even the first scene, while they judge Sang Zhi character's appearance, why don't they talk about her acting. She make it pretty funny, and she act pretty well, that scene make me laugh. She even cries pretty easy too!
Overall: this movie is worth a watch, but for people who doesn't mind the ML and the FL's 5-year age gap

A light-hearted and feel good series!
Sometimes in life, I just want to watch something light-hearted to comfort myself and feel good. This series will always be my top choice for that. The storyline isn't complex—there are no major twists or turns—but it's a beautiful, heartwarming, and non-toxic drama. I love stories about relationships and family, and this one is touching. I enjoyed every single episode. I slightly deduct points for Zhao Lusi's portrayal of a high-school girl using a baby voice, which I felt wasn't necessary. Overall, the chemistry between the lead actors is so great and I hope they star in more series together. The sibling dynamics are hilarious as well. Great! Great! Great!! drama
I rewatched this drama today, and it was as exciting and fun as it was the first time I watched it. Although, I do understand the criticism this drama got when it first got released and I still understand the perspective of their opinion and personal understanding, this kind of genre/ story might not be everyone's cup of tea. But ME? I eat it up lol. I will highly recommend this drama to people who like age-gap, brother's best-friend, and no third person drama, just like me. Both male and female main characters are two of the biggest green flag I've seen in my drama history(i.e 7yrs btw). Visuals are great, the OST is a bop, pacing is great too. I very rarely give 10 on 10 in any of my watch. The last 10 i gave to a drama was 'The Untamed'. So this is definitely the best(10 on 10). Give it a try guys.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Best Drama Of The Year ✨🤍A healing story, as well as comedy, friendship, laughter and tears, this drama is very beautiful. I watched this 5 times but the attraction is not reduced. I like the story very much. Moreover, This was the first Chinese drama I watched, the acting skills of the hero and heroine are so amazing that it is impossible not to appreciate.I have become a big fan of them. Love the Casts but Not The Drama
Okay first of all, i want to say i am a fan of both. I have watched the ML in his other dramas and he is good. I really enjoyed his other dramas and ZLS, The FL, i also have watched all her dramas and truly enjoyed it but i have to be honest. I didn’t enjoy watching this. It felt more like a siblings romance rather than a couple. I just don’t like their chemistry here and this is STRICTLY MY OWN OPINION.You can ignore my review if you disagree on this but this is just my own opinion. I love the Manhua, i’ve read it but the drama is just not it for me. I’ll give high rating because of the casts, i truly do like them and their other dramas but this.. i dont know.

This easily shot to the top of my favorite modern Chinese drama list, with my favorite actress in tow. Zhao Lu Si is nothing short of amazing in this romance where her character is crushing hard on her brother's best friend. If it were anybody else, the FL will probably come across as clingy and annoying, but she just does it with the right amount of sass.First time encountering Chen Zhe Yuan in a drama but he's not too shabby himself as the doting big-bro type who is totally clueless in the love department despite his handsome looks since he's pretty focused on working to clear his father's debts. Of course, the difference in age while one is still a minor in itself is a tricky situation, when treated the wrong way. But we learn that Jia Xu does not even express any romantic interest in Sang Zhi until much later when the FL was in college.
I believe the drama made this distinction as clear as day to make all those accusations of pedophilia or grooming baseless. You can't accuse Jia Xu for encouraging Sang Zhi's affections when he is oblivious and does not even see her as more than a younger sister. The feelings of the FL has always been one-sided until they both got older and the show demonstrates this in several occasions.
In other aspects, the parents are not caricaturally cruel but had the appropriate amount of concern for their daughter's well-being as well as being supportive. There are no over-the-top characters and most are well-rounded. The pacing of the plot suited the narrative, and there was no blinding inconsistencies that I can think of. There was the right amount of fluff, angst, comedy and romance in this drama that I enjoyed watching it from beginning to end without touching the FFWD button.
Last but not the least is the swoon-worthy OST that I barely even notice in other dramas, but here, it serves as a delightful backdrop to Sang Zhi and Jai Ju's platonic-to-romantic journey.

Pure, Wholesome, 10/10
I love that this drama did not have unnecessary drama and focused on the main couple. Their development was splendid and their moments are super cute. Zhe yuan and Lu si look really good together and their acting was great too The story is relatively simple though I did enjoy Jia xu's backstory and the drama of it, but it's alright this is still an extremely wholesome romance telling of two great characters.The OSTs are also really good. Wang Su Long and Lu si's duet was so sweet and Ma Bo Qian (sang yan)'s vocals??? SO GOOD
10/10 recommend for those who just want a lil fluff in their life HAHA

As the title suggests "Hidden Love," it revolves around hidden affection for someone. I appreciate the natural acting and the overall mellowness of the drama, creating a cozy atmosphere like enjoying a cup of hot chocolate and some smores.Initially, I was hesitant about the love story, given that the female lead grew up with the male lead, starting at the age of 14. It felt a bit awkward, even though the male lead didn't romantically see her at that time. However, as the episodes progressed, I realized that the female lead also felt the same way. The one-sided love seemed hopeless and awkward, especially considering they had known each other since her adolescent years and he was in his early uni/college years
I won't give away too many spoilers, but it's worth watching as the drama unfolds and evokes genuine emotions (likeee GENUINE)
This drama struck a chord with me, particularly as someone with little to no romance in real life. It beautifully captures the essence of one-sided love, making it a must-watch for those who enjoy heartfelt stories.

Proving Zhao Lu Si's acting genius, once again
This show has set the bar for Asian dramas for me.Realistic, sweet, funny, heartbreaking, bittersweet and romantic.
The actors who play the FL and ML are brilliant. The connection between the two is amazing. The interactions are so natural and charming that it looks like entire scenes were ad-libbed by the actors. I wouldn't be surprised. The scenes between the FL and her brother are the same -- completely natural and adorable. The subtle physical comedy that Zhao is able to do, playing off her costars into those scenes is amazing. Just a few tiny examples: the wedding scene with her brother when they're at the table - the look they give each other while they're clapping; her expressions with the missed kiss at the skating rink. Whenever she watches the ML do something, her expressions of confusion are hilarious. I haven't mentioned the actor playing the ML yet, but he did beautifully in this drama too. The ML is roguish, loveable, heartbreaking. Will watch this again.
Special mention to the actor that plays the brother. He made his character hilarious. And the child actress: brilliant. Hope she is in a lot more shows.

The best drama ever
I swear this drama was the best drama I have seen recently the chemistry between the lovers and the siblings was just too perfect and their acting was top-notch. The scene where she confessed to him about her being in love with him from first sight was my favourite scene. A cada episódio é um novo frio na barriga. A maneira como eles retratam a historia de forma detalhada e certeira te faz assistir variooos episódios e nem ver o tempo passar. Geralmente os doramas chinês tem uma pegada mais corrida, acontecimentos rápidos e sem muito detalhe, entretanto Hidden love é diferente, ele te leva a realmente vivenciar a história, faz você sentir frio na barriga quando algo empolgante acontece, a encher os olhos d'água quando a trama trata algo comovente, você rir apaixonado junto com os personagens, e o principal, literalmente faz você se sentir dentro do dorama, e talvez seja por isso que ele está tão bem avaliado e com varias pessoas recomendando!
Não sou fã de C-drama (chinês), porém esse me pegou de surpresa de uma forma maravilhosa. A historia conta sobre Sang Zhi que se apaixona por Duan Jia Xu a primeira vista. No inicio achei que seria mais um clichê C-drama que assisto apenas pra matar o tempo, mas com passar dos episódios eu me vi tão presa a historia, e quando percebi que teria que esperar alguns dias para lançar outros ep me deparei com a ansiedade.
Essa serie com certeza vale a nota que está recebendo. Melhor dorama que assistir na minha vida com toda certeza (isso inclui chinês, coreano, japonês...)
É um dorama de primeiro amor. A protagonista é forte, decidida, inteligente e sensata, aonde ela sabe seu valor e é tratada como uma mulher que se valoriza é tratada (não gosto muito de c-drama por esse motivo, as mulheres aceita um tratamento muito pobre de seus parceiros, mas neste não temos isso). Sang Zhi é uma garota que sabe expressar sua doçura e ainda tem traços de uma personalidade forte e independente, é gentil e sem maldade, e acho que é por isso que Duan xu se encanta por ela.
O protagonista é sempre muito cuidadoso e carinhoso. Mesmo tendo a infância difícil não se tornou aqueles famosos personagens frios e sem coração. Duan xu trata a todos com carinho e gentileza e é exatamente por esse motivo que a ainda pequena Sang Zhi continua apaixonada por ele. Este ator é incrível em sua atuação sabendo transmitir os sentimentos pelo olhar de uma forma única.
Você torce pelo racionamento dos dois em TODOS episódios, mesmo quando ela é ainda pequena, e a forma como eles constroem o relacionamento é simplesmente linda e te leva a apaixonar junto com eles.
Esse dorama vale cada milésimo de segundo, cena e episódio. A OST é incrível, e super recomendo ouvir!
Enfim, super hiper mega RECOMENDO este dorama, e como disse, este é o melhor da minha vida de dorameira!

The Secret Crush Of A Teenage Girl
I'm usually not a fan of C-dramas, especially if it's an adaptation of Manhua but this one is really good. Some scenes in the drama may be different from the novel+manhua but it still doesn't change the storyline or the mood. The main lead actors really suit the characters. Others say the male lead actor doesn't resemble the Duan Jiaxu but I think he does. And Zhao Lusi matches Sang Zhi a lot, mostly because of her cute nature. She can definitely show how Sang Zhi acted when she was worried by Jiaxu. I have seen many people not want to watch drama simply because of the age gap but honestly, it's only 5 years. The male lead does not fall for her until she's in university. People mistook him as flirting with her when she was younger but he was teasing her as a little sister. Jiaxu's story is told after she's in university and is also the reason why she felt more sympathy for him.
