Beloved show but falters
Someone who is fan of such genre was kinda had expectations but also some doubts during before its 1st season release ,after watching it's 2 episodes I totally into it and loved all the cast and then 2nd season later released and I only subscribed Netflix only for Sweet home 2nd season . I was really invested in how they will conclude it all in the final season . Sweet home latest and final season got all my focus on it but as it was reaching its conclusion it kinda felt like it was weak but not bad ,it obviously very good to binge watch it but the conclusion kinda leave you with unclose lingering feeling of its shouldn't had to end with such a weak closing.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Ending of the Monstrous era
The pinnacle of the much-awaited monster series is here.Introduction
More monsters are loose here in this installment. With Cha Hyun Su having two personalities, the story unfolds through a new era this time.
As the second season disappointed big time, expectations were huge over the conclusion. Though the first season is still the best of all, the third successfully manages to cover up the losses.
Review
The story follows the correct pace this time. Malevolent Sang Wook is out again to dot over the world. Cha Hyun So in alternate characters is creating a chill down the spine one time and then returning to his real self another time. The blue-eyed and black-eyed versions need to be rooted for.
The conclusion of the series, where our leads return to their sweet home reflects on the essence of the importance of home behind making life sweet and meaningful. The angst of Yi Kyung towards her daughter and how they rebuild the mother-daughter relationship makes the journey more adorable. The conclusion chronicles the power of love through multiple relationship layers.
Conclusion
The journey comes to an end on a happy note. Summing up unresolved conflicts and threading loose ends, gives the ending that we were waiting for. The only complaint is to the editor- more attention should have been paid.

A misguided story with such great potential
First of all, this review will not contain spoilers but assumes you’ve watched at least s1 and s2. Negatives of s3? Well the season is honestly too short. I feel the show needed a minimum of at least 3 more hours or better… another season to give the many new side characters full depth which is still an issue in s3 as it is in s2. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy where the side characters take away from the needed screen time for our main characters we care about IE- Hyun Su, Eun Yu, and Eun Hyeok. And the screen time given to our main cast doesn’t allow for the proper development of our side characters. To be honest, I feel and many others is the main characters we care about deeply who were at the forefront of s1 don’t get enough screen time and besides perhaps some of the soldiers and in my opinion the three recently introduced special infected I really do not give a shit about the side characters and even those that I find interesting still lack significant depth. Also the main villian is kind of amateurish and the final battle leaves more to be desired really. Also while the three main characters and their actors of course kick ass and are enjoyable to watch they simply aren’t there long enough. I honestly feel like Eun Hyeok was just there for fan service although he’s still good :) and while I can’t and won’t spoil anything I feel like the greatest aspect of this season and being Hyun Su and Eun Yu’s relationship and let’s face it romance is handled in my opinion not the greatest and leaves more to be desired especially with the strange choices those two make in regard to each other. The special effects in this season are fine, nothing to ride home about and just like in s2 the monsters lack imagination and intrigue. Simply put they aren’t scary like they were in s1 and feel like a fast food version of what the monsters in this show should be. S1 by far has the best depiction of monsters I’d say. The goods of course. The acting is spectacular and the sets look quite nice. Our three main character while needing more screen time dominate the scenes their in and are enjoyable to watch. I also like I Kyeong in this season although her daughter is meh. This season also takes no prisoners, people die in this season not all character are safe or left standing at the end of this season with I commend 👏. While many do not like the ending I actually find it bitter sweet although it does still feel rushed and many more things needed to be explained better with proper character conclusions. In conclusion, I’d say it is worth a watch if you’ve watched the previous two season but is by no means the best ending to an amazing series as it should be. The last two seasons and especially this season simply needed less side characters and/or more runtime which they clearly didn’t have so I honestly think they didn’t do half-bad with what they had although they still could’ve done better. Finally, I’d like to say thank you for reading this review 🙂 and this season as a whole still feels like Sweet Home…Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

what just happened?
first if all ...aghhhhh ! like what just happened..a lady above explained all of the factors I felt but like damn ? why did they have to kill every single character if the season1. like they were the main characters. especially the mother ? like girl she raised a monster ,fought her evil dad alone and just died ???they killed many of the main like jisu in the second season two.so you are telling me they made three seasons but saved only four people from season one and the rest just died meaningless deaths ? and what even was the ending ? I wanted some wholesome scenes between eunhi and Eunhyuk. eunhi spent the entire season two just strolling looking for her brother and they didn't even give them both a wholesome hug? I am mad. and I was really fond of the soldier who had a crush on eunhi ..I thought it was meant to be something. like a plot or something but nah! it was just an unnecessary detail. they should have shipped him with the girl on drugs. I guess the only thing I actually liked about this season was hyunsoo and eunhi scenes ..not the one with real hyunsoo. the one with the monster hyunsoo. the monster withing him had a better chemistry with Eunhi. and he was in love with her too !Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
"sweet home"

Lots of twists and turns, rushed ending
There were a lot of "whoa, didn't see that coming" and "WTF" moments. The pace moved pretty fast, to the point where I sometimes had to rewatch some scenes in order to better understand what was happening. Loved the character dynamics, particularly between the main characters. However, the flow of the series could feel disjointed with the flashbacks and the constant switching between storylines. The ending, while good, felt rushed. However, for a final season, they definitely did not disappoint.

Season 3 was at least better than S2 but S1 still the best
Better than S2 in terms of story pacing and little little things....The only problem was that the way S3 was moving we were anticipating an obvious battle between Hyun Su & Sang Won.....Now that Sun Hyeok joined Hyun Su in persuasion of Sang Won we were expecting an interesting battle but it just ended as soon as it started....It felt like it was rushed at the end......I liked the part where Sang Wook came back for a moment, was so disappointed that his (Sang Wook) character died at the end of Season 1 and the villain took over his body...Overall except for the end battle S 3 was okayVond je deze recentie nuttig?

underwhelming and still (!!) unsatisfying
i originally wrote this review as i watched episode 3, and i talked about how i couldn't get past the way they divided in two seasons what should've been one. season two had really bad pacing and as a lot of people pointed out, they introduced a lot of new unnecessary characters that i mostly didn't care about just to kill them this season...i do feel like the storyline was kinda coherent and it wasn't as bad as season 2 but i don't know if i could say i enjoyed it.what got me to write this review watching episode 3 was how annoying they were with all the flashbacks that were so recurrent that when they were actually necessary and could make some impact on a scene i was just thinking "another one?".. it was annoying to me from the beginning but the church scene where they do a flashback for something that happened 1 minute and 20 seconds before ON THE SAME SCENE was just??? why didn't they just write that scene in a way it wouldn't be necessary or just not do it at all???? ik it was like only 2s but it seriously annoyed me. and it happened again and again in later episodes. felt like bad writing for me, specially since sweet home isn't the first show ever to use flashbacks to help the audience keep something in mind. also they kept using it for callbacks to previous seasons and episodes in ways that other shows usually don't do explicitly and rather let the audience/fandoms recall by themselves.. unnecessary.
i do understand why they made the older brother emotionless since eunhyu was searching for him for so long and kept going because of him even tho he was supposed to be dead, so it felt unsatisfying as a reunion but realistic (and miserable) because he's no longer a human and he's not like hyunsu either. what i don't get was the whole monster taking over hyunsu and the bet, it felt like it would lead to a internal battle or something similar but it was just hyunsu suddenly having a different personality and blue eyes, and it did make him fight in a way he normally wouldn't but... when it ends is just that. i felt like it could've being somewhat more dramatic idk
talking about drama i felt throughout the entire eight episodes that they relied way too much on the soundtrack to set the tone of the scenes, wich would've been fine, but for me it was so overdone to the point of breaking the immersion.
someone else pointed it all and i know this is not a romance drama but why was there absolutely no romantic moment, dialogue, ANYTHING between hyunsu and eunhyu this season when they mentioned a few times about how they were each other's first love and that was even the reason why hyunsu's monster-self couldn't hurt her... I just few like there was so much waisted time with other storylines (and flashbacks) that could've left space for something like that.. like the priest and the crazy woman. i remember reading a review on the previous season about how they threw a religious man in the story once again after killing the first one and expected us to just accept it and like him and when they got away together on the last episode it just felt like a way of making it up for the first 'priest' guy, jisoo and yuri not making it. and it wasn't satisfying at all for me, it was just a rushed flashback with a story of them both that wasn't even touched upon aside from her looking at him from a distance and randomly confessing later to make things awkward. it didn't even explain anything so i don't really see the point.
i don't even want to talk about yikyeong and her daughter, one of the things i hated the most about season two was their storyline being thrown on it and completely forgotten for a few episodes just to later get into it and give us barely two flashbacks and call it a day. this season they just killed her again (and i still don't know how to feel about it), made her face her crazy ass husband and show the girl's capabilities just to downplay her later? THE GIRL MADE A HUGE ASS MONSTER SHOW UP JUST TO MAKE DADDY PROUD AND WHEN IT CAME TO A REAL BATTLE SHE (actually him but ykwim) SUMMONED A FEW HUMAN SHAPED MONSTERS TO HELP HER??? that man saw what the girl could do and that's his best????? i don't get it. maybe they ran out of money for CGI or just didn't want to deal with big monsters but then why show a big one like that when they could've just used a random one we've seen before? also we were all made to believe she died then we have a scene of her struggling as daddy dies and then what. hey look at my happily ever after! no explanation, no 10 seconds long scene just to give a little context for her being alive. nothing.
anyway i refuse to talk about sangwook because i hate that actor and i really don't care about the original character or the one that possessed him. i know he's the main antagonist but i didn't even had it in me to be angry or wish his death, i just wish lee jinwook wasn't part of the cast at all.
the doctor was annoying and i think he was way past his death scene, it wasn't really satisfying at all for me because of who killed him.
the military guys, just... didn't care about them last season, didn't care about them on this one.
the trailer ahjussi was kinda heartbreaking because i liked their duo and it was sad that hani was so fond of him that she couldn't bring herself to kill him, even tho he killed her parents. i did actually care about them.
i think there's pretty much it, this season wasn't as infuriating and unsatisfying as season two but wasn't nearly as good as season one either. i wouldn't say it was a enjoyable experience for me since most of the time i asked myself what i was watching and wanted to skip some scenes but i finished because i had to know how it ended. definitely won't be recommending sweet home anymore and i don't think I'll ever watch it again.
amazing cast (mostly) tho!

Dying wasn't even an option, they weren't afraid of dying, they were afraid of being abandoned
This story was very unique. I will not make very long review but the overall concept revolve around1. Society was afraid to live in a new change.
2. People were afraid to be be abandoned and unloved
The reality was humans were afraid of being a monster. But they were also afraid of being alone. The sweet home family on the other hand understood very early that monsters can behave like humans if they can overcome their fears. Sadly it took forever for the whole world to actually understand this. At the end they embrace neo humans and avoid being monsters.
I really liked eun hyuk character like from the start he was trying to do the good things but everyone ultimately called him a heartless person. Even at the end he wanted to sacrifice himself instead of hyun su. I think it since all of them were young they were good at expressing themselves. And eun hyuk was caught up in all of this. Admit it or not it was his words who kept everyone alive.
Btw the bus scene really showed bl vibes like the fight, bickering but still sitting so close to each other.
