UKYEONG COUPLE!!
I was so sad about jung somin not being the main lead this season, I thought the chemistry was not as great but I was wrong! Their chemistry is immaculate. I didn't expect those steamy kissing scene🫢. This gives me Xianxia drama vibes. I really like this cause i like fantasy dramas. The story was so good and the acting was nice, every episode was so worth watching there's no boring part. The editing skill is so sick, I like the visual effects. What i dislike about this is the ending it could have been better , it was rushed like wth. I know jang uk was super strong but it was the fire bird his fighting!, the fighting scene could've been so epic.
Also the episodes should've been more, they should've shown what jang uk and cho yeong's story after all those events, like how they start they're new life.
STILL this drama was 10 out of 10 đź’Ż

Pretty good but not as good as 1st part
First of all, it was an extremely beautiful show, and the cgi were crafted masterfully, Change of the female lead was a bit shocking at first but after watching this I have no complaint at all, The new girl did an amazing job, and the chemistry between both the of the main leads was pretty amazing, a tad bit different than the first season cz they had this master student thing going on between them and I liked that more, Kinda makes it a guilty pleasure I guess but still they had pretty good chemistry between them,Now the reason I said it's not as good as the first part of bcz this season had less story telling and more padding the run time, I am not a fan of amnesia trope cz it makes no sense to me in any scenario, also UK became so OP that nobody could beat him so that became a bit bothersome, I mean by a technical stand point I do understand it's a bit difficult to make mages fight each other without making it boring, usually it seems like they're just throwing colorful wind at each other with their hands but at least they should've given the main hero a worthy memorable last fight, even that last dragon didn't posed much of a threat to him so all those things became pretty convinient and dull,
Last thing that makes it lesser than season 1 was it's predictable ending, I knew that bu Yeon would sacrifice and give her body to naksu from the very moment they mentioned this plot point so there goes any tension that might've built up,
I see people complaining about misogyny or weak female or all that woke bullshit, they are just blinded by their own complexes and absence of knowledge of storytelling and skills, Anybody who wants to have good time and watch a fantasy drama rather than some political or social agenda should watch this show, it's highly recommended for fun lovers

A Revolving Door of Souls in One Body
This sequel promised to bring more intrigue between the opposing factions of mages with Uk now being possessed by the Ice Stone and perhaps a swoon worthy love story with Go Youn Jong replacing Jung So-Min as Naksu. The latter was certainly true being that Go Youn Jong and Lee Jae Wook’s chemistry smoldered unlike his interactions with the previous actress in the role of MuDeok/Naksu.
However, disappointingly, the intrigue with the mage factions came to a screeching halt. With most episodes consisting of Uk falling for Buyeon/Naksu again while killing the monster of the week. Mu continued his nefarious agenda of trying to do….I’m not sure as his agenda got lost in his weekly schemes that never panned out, allies who were sometimes apart of the schemes but their roles weren’t made clear and just the lack of clarity as to why the royal family kept him as an advisor considering the actions he’d precipitated against the monarch in the previous season.
Of course it is learned in the 11th hour of the series that the monarch had been in league with him all along, along with the Unanimous Assembly. Learning this did add some logic to the earlier decisions these characters had made, but still failed to make sense of their end game. Their greed for power was understood. First via the ice stone, then the firebird. The former agenda made more sense than the latter. For the firebird would be difficult to control and would leave the world in shambles. How would this help those greedy for power? It was never made clear.
Moreover, out of all the mages on the Unanimous Assembly only one (too late I might add) realized their plan was a bad idea. It was hard to believe that many seasoned mages who’d seen a lot of good and bad in their lifetime thought Mu’s firebird plan would end with the result they desired. They all came off like a bunch of novice idiots with stars in their eyes over a half-baked plan to grab a smidgen of power, rather than intelligent beings who knew from their ages of experience that this plan would do more harm than good not just for others but themselves. Speaking of Mu his villainy was played out from the first episode. He should’ve been killed in the previous season with another adversary taking on Uk and his family/friends of mages. Mu became unbearable to watch. So much so he nearly ruined the series for me.
Another story thread that became tiresome was Buyeon/Naksu’s soul drama. It didn’t help that every episode changed the story behind what was going on with her soul. First her soul was Naksu, but her blood was that of Buyeon. Hence she could open the ancestral vault of Jinyoun. Then Naksu and Buyeon’s souls were coexisting in the body, with Naksu’s soul soon to disappear. Then it was Cheon which was the name she was born with or perhaps a reincarnation of Seol. By the time the series was over I didn’t know who the heck she was supposed to be.
Despite the confusion surrounding Buyeon/Naksu’s ever changing identity and why it was changing, the love story between she and Uk was well done. The closeness that grew between them was a natural progression and thus believable. And though Buyeon’s connection to Uk and their budding romance was supposed to be due to her soul being that of Naksu, I didn’t feel that she was Naksu. It felt like she was a completely different person, a new person, melting Uk’s heart. Their love story was sweet and their chemistry was amazing. However, I feel the writers took the audience up the mountain but failed to reach its peak. These two had some amazing hugs and kisses. We did get the wedding, but then after that no more smoldering romantic interactions. They may as well been good friends rather than starcrossed lovers who finally beat the odds to be together. Disappointing.
Similar to the first series, the writers missed some opportunities for epic moments within the series. For example, Mu’s death, it should’ve been more painful and dramatic. Uk discovering that Buyeon was really Naksu. He didn’t even blink upon learning this truth, which was odd. Yul being cured of the blood parasite should’ve been more challenging as should’ve been Uk dealing with the firebird. There had been several episodes discussing the dangers of the firebird being awaken and the difficulty in dealing with it only for Uk to wave his sword a couple of times, easily destroying it. Again disappointing. Uk taking on the firebird should’ve been a real battle as I got the impression that on its own it was just as powerful as the ice stone within him.
Though this season had its disappointments, it was still very good and worth watching. Will I watch again? Probably not. There was nothing about this season that was extraordinary enough for me to want to experience it again.
That said, I would absolutely watch a show with the adventures of Uk/Naksu/Buyeon/Cheon/Seol finding the relics that escaped Jinyoun. Provided Naksu/Buyeon/Cheon/Seol doesn’t add another identity/soul to her repertoire. Lol. I think a show about her and Uk’s adventures would be a fun .

Even better Well-paced than the First Season with Back to back Intriguing plots!!
I didn't wanted to waste time writing a long one but I think it will be useful for future viewers so here we go...People are criticising Go Yoonjung but I think they didn't carefully reviewed her character and the circumstance her character was set in. Go yoonjung perfectly picked up the Naksu's character that Jung somin had created and left, just keep in mind that due to special circumstances naksu's character is like that of a person she was before getting exploited by jin mu. I heard this advice and it was so fun to watch her acing the character. She perfectly carried the flow of Naksu's character in the right amount, since she was now also carrying the duty to carry out the character of a priestess. She lost all her memories so giving her mudeok's heavy elements means she remembers all her tough times while training, and killing people. But since that cannot happen, they give her features of cho yeong (the child who held the hand of jin mu not crying even when she saw her father dying before her). An innocent, curious and bold child, who likes to have her way and is willing to play tricks every now and then. Its perfectly fine if she appears as a 3rd person, like cho yeong, since she is not naksu anymore nor mudeok, she only has those personality traits. she forgot everthing and is now making new memories with jang Uk, so she appears both familiar and unfamiliar at the same time.
I got goosebumps while seeing how Go yoonjung even picked up the habits of her character that Jung so min created, the same way of speaking and making that face , and calling "jang uk". No one can recreate a character so perfectly as she did. I'm beyond impressed.
This drama was really perfect. I even liked it better than the first season. First season had some filler episodes but I'm glad that they made this season well-paced. There was always something intriguing to look forward to in the next episode in S2. The story kept being tight from start to finish. The script was really good. They created many interesting theories and then unveiled them to the viewers nicely. This season really filled a lot of plot holes for 1st season. This season deserves higher rating than the previous one for me.
It's been a long time since a drama made me tear-up. I felt the sadness and bittersweet fate they had so deeply that it ached my heart when this only just a fictional story. All the actors did a wonderful job. It really is a thing to ponder over, how both ML and FL had such a bitter fate.
Jang Uk: He had to suffer from his gate of energy being sealed by his father, he had to live among hurtful rumours , lost both his parents, had to experience numerous life-death situation while training to finally reach Chisu, lost his only precious love by getting stabbed, had to suffer the consequences of having ice-stone within him, facing wraiths everytime, and now again fear of losing his love and so on.
Naksu: Had to see her family die, train hard till death, lived alone all his life in seclusion, had to kill numerous in the pretence of avenging her father, lost all her powers, trapped inside a weak body, got betrayed by Jin Mu who she thought was helping, lost his love, had to kill herself, had to maintain distance from Jang Uk again when she knew she could again not be with him, etc
Also, I'm glad that the crown prince got to be the king, he is the best king the country of Daeho could ever get. He is greedy but not enough to harm his own people. He knows when to stop his greed, and that the powerful ain't always an enemy but an ally. Jang Uk is better off a powerful person who wants to protect his loved ones. But Go Won knows that marriage and bride is not in his control, and that all that is a responsibility. jang Uk is a free person so I'm glad that he remained free and unbothered by these worldly material things like owning the throne. Crown prince is rather perfectly balanced to be the king than his father or mother ( both the soul shifter shaman, and his biological mother), Both his parents were foolishly greedy but he knows when to back down before things go out of control.
I'll forever remember this classic masterpiece!! I hope people take this drama as one of the top ones that all future generations gonna watch

The best drama ever
if l could recommend a 1000/10 drama with chemistry, physics and all the romance and not to talk of a badass sexy ml it will be AOS season 2 cause Uk was serving shame, jae wook and younjung gave their all and l loved it hence can't count how many times I've rewatched ssn2 it is the best there is and crossing my fingers on another drama with jae wook and go younjung they just make the cutest tv couple period! and glad wookie said so himself that he wishes to work with her on another project cause he loved their on screen chemistry ❤️ and ssn1 was good but it looked more of like a sibling relationship between uk and mudoek, like she was the big sister pushing her little brother to be strong and find himselfVond je deze recentie nuttig?
The best of the best!!
Whenever I see this drama, I get sentimental. It really left a deep impression on me. It's an unforgettable masterpiece that everyone should watch. I love both seasons equally. In the first season I was constantly laughing and excited, and in the second season I was crying but I was overjoyed. It was really painful to watch this wonderful fantasy, but definitely worth it. And now, after all this time, it still remains my favorite drama of all time, and the best thing I've ever seen in my life.❤️Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
why so many bad reviews?
strangly, so many hateful comments and reviews towards FL. who have we become? i really enjoy the character growth in this SS2 childish Uky has grown up and I really fall in love, Go Youn Jung portray « one sided love » very well.so where all the hate reviews coming from?
The story is reset and restart, it’s fresh delivered for the new FL. she is cute and did the new Naksu character very well. imagine Naksu without a revenge? she would think ordinary, falling in love like an ordinary person and Go Youn Jung delivers. I don’t get bored watching her at all, she’s geogous!
Jang Uk in this season is mature, I was very annoyed in SS1 because he acted like a baby all the time. so I’m glad to see the character development after the « losing » experience.
Love it đź’•

A Beautiful Farewell to Daeho.
I honestly loved this season so much more than the first! I know not everyone might agree, but this one just hit differently for me. Season 1 set the foundation with its incredible world-building, intense character development, and gripping story. In this season, the chemistry between Wook and Bu Yeong had its own charm. Their moments together were sweet, and seeing how Wook stood by her while being the strongest made their bond even more special. The way their relationship unfolded added a nice balance of warmth and emotion to the story. The sweet, emotional scenes had me hooked, and the pacing felt just right this time.
And yes, Go Youn Jung. I freakin love her! She’s absolutely stunning, her expressions, her presence, everything about her was mesmerizing. But let me be clear: Jung So Min was amazing too! She brought so much depth to her character in Season 1, and her performance is unforgettable.
The ending this time felt satisfying and well-rounded. But now I’m left with post-series emptiness—it’s like I don’t know what to do with myself after such an emotional journey. Overall, Season 2 brought all the magic, romance, and emotions I could’ve hoped for!

Good chemistry between leads in both seasons.
I liked it even more than season 1. Even though season 1 was more funny than season 2 and I adored Mudeok. It was because this season was more romantic and focused on the couple. I wanted more for Jin Buyeon though. An alternative ending for her. I was still hoping for the actress of season 1 to have a lengthy and active part in this season 2, but alas. Also, the fight scenes towards the end were kinda "weak".Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
GIVE IT A CHANCE
If u don't like the new actress, I cant blame u. But just give it a chance. I was gonna watch it anyway, but i got really found of her . We were already familiar to her and we already knew she is the real Naksu. We also have so many paralels in part 2 so it is easy to see her as Naksu.I was a little afraid in the begining because i really liked part 1 so I thought that if i dont enjoy part 2 i would feel like a traitor :))). But I am in lovee with the first two eps. There were a lot of unanswered questions in the first ep, the the second ep answered a lot of my curiosities. I can't wait for the next week for new episodes, i am already hooked. As always I hate JinMu , but I hope he won't turn our crown prince into a bad guy. On the other hand I believe Jin Mu will try something bad, but that will end up making Naksu remembering the past .
I am constantly watching edits and replaying my favourite parts.

What a sequel!!!
Top notch season following up on a top notch season 1. I'm not a fan of sequels in Asian dramas. But, in this case, I couldn't be more excited and happy that there were 10 more episodes to this amazing story. They rounded off all the story arcs & life did come full circle here. Leads just ate, I was wondering if changing female lead would impact any visual aspect of the show, it didn't. The story really flew well, the change made sense and I loved their chemistry. The ML was so charismatic & their constant banter kept me hooked. Sometimes, I even would rewind just to see them saying those lines again.
Really loved the way story came to its conclusion. Loved this show so much! Definitely on my re-watch list!
